My grandmother would heat cast iron irons, the kind without electricity, on top of the wood stove to place in beds to make the beds warm in winter in Montana. She would wrap the chunks of heavy iron in towels and they would stay warm for a long time.

Excellent reception!!! Not many listen to shortwave now-a-days.... you will need a schedule when 1st starting or you;ll think nothing is on there..... ONE WOULD BE SURPRISED WHAT COMES OUT THAT RADIO !!!! I love it - most fun you can have listening,,, no phone, no computer, no tv.... just shortwave like the old days !!!!

Wow living in a house during a snowsturm must really be hard , i have never seen anyone survive a snowfall that was this servire , as i wach this video i am awed by the woodsmans survival instinct and skills, shurely no one else has ever survived falling snow like that especially being inside a small room. I will save this survival video forever for my own family to watch long after i am gone.
I am curious how many people carry electric drills , drill bits sections of pipe, caulk and other miscellaneous tools and supplies whilst walking through the woods. These videos used to be spontaneous but obviously this one was pre arranged to get likes.

You should consider transferring your rocks into metal buckets and throwing them under the bed. Their heat lasts longer than wood, especially if the fire goes out in the night!!!
I’m 75 and my Husband and I probably won’t ever go camping again so we sleep in an awesome 2 person sleeping bag every night atop our Tempur-Pedic mattress and bed frame.:) We love it.❤️🔥

That's why you put in a 3" PVC pipe in the wall or floor to allow the stove to draw in outside air. Thus, no running out free air.
The oxygen in that space will last for many days, so unless the cabin is totally airtight, don't make a fuss about it.
