I get annoyed when people say honor thy mother and father. Not all parents deserve honor. F that. Some people have no business having kids or being around kids. I'm glad he was able to get through his awful childhood and make a good life for himself
The bible says to honor your mother and father, it's commandment, just as we should forgive others. Forgiveness frees us.
Esphesians 6:4 expands on that and says “And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but educate them with the discipline and correction of the Lord.” This is the verse most people forget about.
@Kayla Munnings and this is one of the main reasons why I'm no longer Christian. I look at the Bible for myself and no longer allow faulty humans to decern for myself. I do not forgive or respect my abusers and molesters. They'll never get my forgiveness... and I feel GOOD about that! 😊😊😊😊😊
@@CometianGoddess Well I think you missed the part in the bible when Jesus taught, “If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you” (Matthew 6:14). Peter asked Jesus how often it is necessary to forgive, and Jesus replied, “Seventy-seven times” (Matthew 18:22), we should always forgive. In fact none of us did not have to all at once go through the agony, pain, sorrow, mocking, whippings, scourging, shame, bruising that Jesus himself endured, but on that cross before he gave up the ghost, He said Father forgive them for they know not what they do. If you seriously are following Christ and want to be like Him, you can not choose some parts of Christ's teaching, it is all or none. No one would advise you to stay in bad situations, most definitely you should get away from others that inflicts pain or brings you harm, but you should forgive them and leave them in the hands of God the greatest judge that will revenge and repay handsomely. May God continue to bless, protect and grant you peace that passes all understanding.🙌
@@SoosLives Yes the bible does say that, you are correct! Question: So if both parent and child/children are given this commandment, because one doesn't abide by it should the other one follow suit? Each of us will stand before God to give an account for the lives that we live, the things that we say and do, the sins that we commit. God places His word above His name, and the Word admonishes us to follow Christ who is also the same said Word, the same Word He will use to judge us. Jesus said, "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day" (John 12:48). Mankind will be judged by the Word. Every man has a choice, choose wisely.

This is why I no longer attend. I'm recovering from a lifetime of emotional abuse and neglect and 14 years of an abusive marriage to a covert "Christian" narcissist. It is the hardest thing I've ever done....slow going.

@@pebblesq2010 I always have been, and always will be a big fan of Jesus. He’s a beautiful example of the good we need more of. I strayed from church and religion, bc religions of all kinds have been bastardized and manipulated in to war, abuse, an ill treatment. It’s scary to think of all of the so-called God fearing people who are out here dehumanizing others. There’s good people out there, but lots of predators lurking in these churches.

I remember in the forth grade a girl moved to our class and she ended up being my best friend. We were inseparable. One day she wasn't there anymore, I just thought she was sick .the next day she wasn't there either. The next day as well.the third day I got the courage to ask my teachers where was Nicole, and they looked at me, they stared at me for a while and they said she won't be back, her father hurt her ( sexually) I was so shocked and I really missed her and love her .I cried for her ❤️ love you Nicole ❤❤💔❤️🩹❤
This man is brace and I'm sorry for what he went through. I hate adults that use children for their sick purposes. Abusing children, leaving broken humans in the process. Evil evil wicked beings. Innocent children 😪😔

As a teacher in Hong Kong I can assure you that these heinous deeds happen to many boys and men. In these modern times when women can be strong, men are also allowed to be sensitive. I hope that there are more platforms for boys and men to speak their truth and may they find peace.

@@aunteepsalmsfasting yeah he grew up in a cult and SRA/sex trafficking has always been an ignored problem. just like with any abuse there is no help for it until you're 18+. Infact There isn't any therapy specifically for people who grew up in cults regardless of age. I see a lot of people who grew up in Freemasonary and stuff trying to find therapy specifically for that. Sadly if you go through this type of abuse a psychiatrist will just say you're schizophrenic and throw you Neuro toxin pilld for their paycheck.
So most people don't even like to come out bout cult abuse.

As a Christian of a Pentecostal church, I am disturbed by this story. At the same time, I am amazed by your testimony! No doubt, God has an amazing purpose for you and your sister’s lives. I was sexually abused as a child by a family member and I got no support from the family, but through therapy I was able to forgive and heal. Forgiveness is truly a super power but we need professional help and prayer because it’s almost impossible to do it alone. I hope and pray you accomplish all your plans. Same. You learn to cope but it's trauma that never leaves you. I find that I unconsciously befriend others that have experienced childhood SA. Of course, it usually takes a long time until that conversation takes place and you are aware, but most of my closest friends have experienced childhood SA. Best wishes healing those scars on your soul.
He was a child. Children don't know what to think of stuff like this. Some don't know if it's right or wrong because they wasn't taught about those things. Children don't talk about these things if they're not taught to talk. That's why parents need to teach their kids about the wrong places nobody should never touch etc. When I was 8 years old I was molested by my 21 year old cousin and I didn't talk about it, I didn't even tell my parents. I was so lost and confused about it, that I didn't know what to think of it

I'm so sorry this happened to you and your sister. I'm glad you're healed from this horrific situation. My dad molested my oldest sister when she was 14. She went to school and told the teacher. Department of Human Services came & removed all 10 children. I was 7 months old at the time. My mom had a nervous breakdown from this and was never able to raise us.
I'm 53 years old now & it bothered me for years. Why did my dad split up our family? I found out that my dad had PTSD from WW2. I forgave him before he passed. My mother passed away when I was 20 years old. I met & talked with her once.
God blessed me at 10 months old to be placed with a loving family & they adopted me. No matter the storm, God is still good all the time!!! Thank you for sharing your story. May God bless and keep you and your sister.
Giving birth to 10 children and then leaving them for others to take care of is itself a crime and both parents are responsible for it
Me and my sisters lived in an abusive life my dad always on drugs and an alcoholic throu the year of mom trying to get away from dad and he always seem to find us and make us go back home always beating my mom leaving her black and blue our punishments were kneeling on pebbles stones all through the night and some times with 3 to 4 books on our heads or other treatment... mom was afraid of him he alway threatened her if she left yes alway felt good when he was locked up but like always he would find us and still controlled us until the last time he got out of jail and mom told him no more I just remember him and momtook off that night and drowned her I was 11 years old when my mom was taken from her10 children the night they buried my mom he raped my 10 yr old sister and I saw this happen I was so scared I called the police and the never came they thought it was a hoax I was scared to sleep just wondering who was next between me and my sisters the next day we went to visit my grandmother and ask grandmother if we could stay with her she agreed so I felt happy only to find out that afew of my sisers n myself were getting molested from my grandfather and my uncle as well we never got help and never heald along all the my dad raped 2 sisters and molested 1 the one sister that I caught my dad raping we grew up bumping heads she always had this rage toward me lashing out at me for years I would just show her love and I would always feel the hate in return I didn't understand why and oneday after a few drinks we started talking about that night that I saw that happen she thought i didnt go for help i finally told her how me n another sis snuck out to go make that phone call to the police and they never showed up that night we hugged n cried we made amends and were closer then weve been in years this happene a few months ago I'm 57 now and still hurt till day the hard life we went through

@Baretto Conceicao I believe it is the COGIC denomination (Church of God In Christ) - I was vague in my opening comment on purpose.
As for the specific church connected to the gentleman in the video, I do not know the exact one, but there is a well-known church because of who the prior leader was. And I do not know if that is the church he is referring to in this video. I can only speculate.

I’d never set foot in a church again. But, appreciate he is on his own personal journey of healing.

It's not the church itself It's the people at that church. There's so many evil people in some churches those are wolves in sheeps clothing and those churches are not of God. I've had bad experiences at some churches, but I moved on and found a remnant church, there's only very few of them left, but there is a remnant church out there still.

I’m thankful he spoke about his story because so many have gone through the same or similar experience and don’t don’t feel right to talk about it or like they deserve to deal with/find help to process their trauma
People deserve help, men and women of course, and if we as a society can acknowledge and help these people (instead of looking away because it might feel inconvenient or sad to hear about it) hopefully our eyes will be more open to notice and prevent this kind of thing in our communities 😭😭 i hate to imagine this happening to more kids every day

Never forgive !! Never forget, but put it away somewhere where you don't visit too often. Learn to let go of anger, the hurt, and pain. It's time to put it down. You have carried it for long enough. Whether these people should be forgiven is on them, let them deal with that.

I believe every word of this. Yes, he chuckled a few times but that is just nervous laughter. This took tremendous courage. I know there must be many more children who were abused in this denomination. I pray that the corrupt clergy who abused him are held accountable. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Yeah...I used to laugh after telling my counselor some horrific things my ex husband or family did to me. It's coping but it's also minimizing and a sign of survival.
My heart breaks, sending positive vibes of love and healing for the survivors of this awful act.
They hated those kids ! They didn't care about their pain or health. They should have been paid during life and after death !!!

I was baptized into the cogic church at 12 and if I hadn't of been so much older and mouthy I would have suffered similar type abuse, my sister and other children fell victim they were lesbians, incestuous, having extra marital affairs, that church was super bad, so glad I wised up and left at age 16

Amen this hits home to have another man have the courage to say what alot of us are ashamed or scared to say. My situation was not as intense or bad as yours but it definitely affected in a negative way who I grew up to be! Thru the grace of God and his mercy I battle thru sexual addiction even when I was younger. I am now married and love my wife dearly! But the devil Temps me always but I fight and struggle and by God's Will I persevere. With what you went through involving your parents one your father being a minister/evangelist and being raised in the church and suffering abuse by your father and mother and some of those same church folk, most people would hate God and never want to step foot in a church ever again. God's infinite love is amazing and it's evident how much he loves you and your sister it's also evident that you have the gift of love because inspite of it all you chose to forgive.
