i think this is one of your best so far. 12 minutes and you don't waste any of that time which is hard to find on youtube. i think you may of done the comparisons differently this time to market competitors? just felt like a lot more actionable information to me - or maybe this presentation made it more clear to me. i think you have one of the best channels on youtube and appreciate your time putting this together.

Hell yes! I'm not even through the intro to the video and I'm sooo stoked for this! Thank you! Edit after watching: It did not disappoint, REALLY great insight into the base vs S-Type models. It makes me think the S-Type models may have an LFA-esque moment in depreciation in the next year or two as they really start to age on the lots and dealers just want to get rid of them. FWIW-- I don't think it's comparable to the LFA in any sense other than low demand and aging inventory being the right mixture for good deals (if you're patient enough to wait a year or two). Buying an S-Type *now* is clearly not the move. Maybe time to get a base model and hope for a deal on an S-Type in the coming years.

It is great to hear your enthusiasm! The NSX usually does not receive so much love. The S-type indeed seems risky at the moment, but it is a tricky market to analyse. Who knows what the future holds for them.

Nicely done. I own a 2017 and have had it since new. The time period where buyers got clobbered was after the initial market was turned off by dealer mark ups. You had large discounts and then a few years of $20K trunk money from Honda to help sales. As was mentioned, there were a small number of Gen 2 cars produced. The market is pretty stable for them now. This is helped by a bunch of them being wrecked/flooded and/or devalued by modifications.

Yesterday I wrote a comment on your latest video about doing a video on the 2nd Gen base NSX as I am looking into purchasing one; and you really have covered all the bases throughly and given great advice regarding different cars, depreciation rates and the range for making a offer that is reasonable; thank you for your detailed, unbiased reviews; great research and many thank you again

I love your videos, especially since i purchase supercars regularly. If i could make one suggestion, though, it would be helpful if, when you compared the NSXs to other brands, you used the same color for the NSX in each different graph.

Love your show. Ferrari FF and Lusso have been discontinued now for a few years. I think at this point it is starting to appreciate and makes excellent buy value possibly being worth over a million within 10 years for low millage high optioned versions. can you do a video on this? I am thinking of buying one as both an investment and keepsake family weekender. Maintenance and running costs may be high but appreciation should outstrip this in my opinion.

I really would like to get one of these because I think they look really cool but most people's opinion is that they're not much of an exotic car so I would have to get a Lamborghini first and then get this as my second car.

I remember seeing these at the auto show when they first came out and thinking they are beautiful but too expensive for an Acura. Now that they have come down to a more realistic price on the used car market I would definitely buy one. The NSX reminds me of the gen 5 Viper in which both cars looked great but cost way too much for most consumers. And as an Ohioan I also like that the car was built in Ohio.

I think that he miss the point that the Type S MSRP is only 180k-195k.
But the cars are selling way over MSRP.
These cars was listing for almost 100k over MSRP, but I think the market has stabilized at around 225k.
Cars that are listed over 225k would probably sit and no one would be crazy to purchase above those prices.

    • @fourwheeltrader
      @fourwheeltrader  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

As mentioned, the cars not selling are indeed the ones that are priced far above msrp.

  • @cesarjom

The 2022 NSX Type S will be worth more than twice its original sticker price in about 5-10 more years. This is the NSX everyone wants to own but there is less than a couple of hundred sold in North America.

Basically all NSX the old Classic the newer Base Model coupe and the S will both hold up well. If you can squeeze in the TYPE S then def do it if you can get it for less then 250000 and lowest I see being around 1800000

The Nsx Type S is more rare than a Ferrari Enzo… La Ferrari or even a Porsche 918 which it is compared too. Type S will be a $500k car in a few years to come…. Mark my words.

Great video, thanks! I've been keeping an eye on the NSX market over time, and it's always surprised me how the depreciation hasn't been significant and there's seemingly a price floor to it. You'd think with how people talk about the car that it'd depreciate like a BMW i8. The low depreciation may just be a factor of the low supply, but personally I think the NSX is more desirable than people say. I think over time and as hybrid 6 cylinder supercars become more normalized, it'll follow the LFA as a somewhat redeemed car.

That’s a car that u rent for a week to try it out and move on so u don’t need to deal with market uncertainty, there’s also not a lot of emotional wants for that car (despite the superior performance). It’s a good alternative if u want a supercar-ish daily driver that’s similar priced to a Porsche 911 or AMG gtr
