Since many of you asked similar questions, I grouped them together so we could answer as many as possible in one visit. Loved the video! Once in my salon a client asked me my "philosophy" on haircutting. Interesting question on the fly. My response, "measure twice, cut once". This was gleaned from a great friend of mine who was a building contractor. Good stylist rule to live by. LOL

WOW! I can t believe I found this video because I have been wanting to see the cut for a long time. I’m a retired hairdresser and have always looked better in short hair and this cut is the most awesome one I’ve seen in a long time. Of course it doesn’t hurt that Sharalee is so gorgeous and has the perfect head shape for this cut. I see her all over Pinterest and am always amazed at how beautiful she looks in this cut. I’m trying to copy the cut with my hairdresser and sometimes fiddle with it myself, not good, but I try. What really helps the cut is the dark hair with highlights. I’m a blonde so you can’t see movement as much. This video is so helpful, thank you for putting it together. I’m saving it for sure!
OMG! Ex hairdresser here too. Feeling the same way about this cut. I did it myself and the First time round wasn’t great. With this video and a little new growth, I think I’ll be good to go! I have red hair and the perfect head shape. I can hardly wait! ☘️
This was so helpful. I've been collecting pics of pixies and on the hunt for a new stylist/salon. I have gray, fine, thin, textured, wavy hair. So I've had a hard time finding a good stylist for someone who can help a Caucasian gal my hair issues. They just want to straighten it. This was so helpful. Thanks again. This was very good! Great questions from the viewers. Kristen does a great job explaining her method. I think a hairdresser is an artist. It is like they can see a picture in their mind and use their knowledge training and experience to create a masterpiece. Great video!

That was very helpful! I finally got the nerve to go all the way to a pixie and you were right - I LOVE it!!! Got it cut 3 days before the fall and head injury - this knot on my head is still horrendous and my still purple forehead makes it too embarrassing to go out! But I thank God because it could have been so much worse! It has also scared me a bit to walk. And the Bob Sagget autopsy released today also makes it even scarier! But GOD!
So I am very intentional with every step. I truly do believe the brain tumor I had 10 years ago has something to do with my many falls and broken bones. Thank God nothing was broken this time!
I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to turn this into something about me! This video really helps me to know better how to handle this cut and what to speak to my new hairdresser about the cut! I love it - just wish I could wash it but can’t until the stitches are gone. Tomorrow I do think I will try to use some dry shampoo and see if I can help it a little!

@@brendapcmt oh bless you! I’ve been there too and have the same problem! Sharalee has helped me so much in here! That’s why her pixie is so easy - I just do a softer style with no dry wax. I didn’t think it would look good on me but she kept encouraging me and I finally did it. Perfect! You midget try it! I can dry it with my bad arm but can’t curl the back. I can, however, curl the top and sides - I know! Go figure! Sharalee is my absolute favorite You Tube influencer!

GREAT HAIRCUT!!! Well done! I’m a retired stylist and I watch all sorts of videos. You are a teacher at its best! Doing hair never leaves you. Thank for sharing your information. I agree with the bleaching with the dark hair. It does take awhile under the drier. That client was my gutsy one. 4 different colors. In today’s world that is probably nothing. I had 2 gutsy clients and I loved it. People wear their styles too long unless you have long beautiful hair. If I find an easy hairstyle that works for me that makes me look younger I will more than likely not change it at my age 👍🏻

My thanks to you both! The salon visits are always fun, the slight changes with the cuts over time are fresh and exciting. I’ve worn my hair EXACTLY like your 4 years ago (?) cut, I do have finer hair and was glad to see some things to watch out for if I were to ask about the undercut. Wanna hear a sad, funny, situation I’m having now with my hair? My husband who has pulmonary fibrosis and will lose his life to his lung problems has asked me to grow my hair out again while he is still living. BUT, it has remained fairly short, just not spiked. And we don’t really discuss my hair anymore. The undercut will have to wait. THANKS AGAIN LADIES! Love from Arizona!

Thank you so, so much for this video Sharalee and Kristen. I cut my own hair because I live in a small town in E TN and the hairdressers don’t seem to be up to date on cutting techniques. I do pretty well but these tips regarding thin hair have been so beneficial. I’ve watched all the salon visit videos (more than once) but this one is the best! This was WONDERFUL!! Your stylist is soo good! Yes, I agree with the question about can your stylist GO ON THE ROAD!! LOL... I just went to my stylist last week for warm highlights, but still need some more brightness. So, I'm heading back today to do a bit more. Wow, women spend a LOT of time and money, haha, on getting their hair "just right"! You are so lucky to have thick hair, but like many things, we always think we want what other people have! This was a really fun and very informative watch!! You are just so precious to take us along and thank your sweet stylist for taking the time to answer so many questions! Oh, I wanted to ask you if you would continue to keep me and my husband in your prayers. Losing his father in such a tragic way has been really tough! The grieving process is different from that with his mom. We knew she wasn't going to get better and had time to prepare. Great video. I just found you because I recently got a haircut and I was given a pixie and I didn't even ask for one so I didn't know how to style it at all. I looked on youtube and found your videos and have been watching them to learn how to do my hair. I see from watching this video that my hair stylist didn't even cut my hair right to top it off! I want to get the piecey look but don't know how to do it with my hair.

I love all the details! I have found with my fine, thin, very straight hair. I like the Enjoy dry wax, but I have also really liked the Sexy Hair play dirty dry wax spray. It works really well with my hair type and it doesn't build up a ton in my hair and it smells lovely! Thank you again! 💜

Gorgeous cut! I wear my hair short as well and I love the slightly longer bangs in the front. I may show this to my hairdresser.
I like these tutorials, as a stylist she is very good and you can tell you like that. I do about 10% if my clients now with some type of an undercut i don't do the crown spike on any of my clients the French crop look. But i also fade a few who want that cleaner look and have gone to .5 on one or two at the bottom and they love it . But a #2 is a big step for you. Looks great Ty for sharing

When I saw your videos a couple weeks back I fell in LOVE with it and went and got my cut short again. I didn’t do the undercut (afraid 😉) but I love my cut. Love your edgy cut. I’d love an undercut but won’t show tops of my ears as one is different to the other and I’m too self conscious 😕 my problem is trying to keep the cut young looking while still having that little bit over the ears. I really like watching people cutting hair, it’s fascinating

Thanks for sharing. Looking beautiful sat there under the cape and even with wet hair - I always look shocking! What a lovely edgy but cute haircut. The highlights just compliment it further. Wow I’ve looked back and you’ve certainly got braver and gone a lot shorter now. Unfortunately, there is no way to control the noise around us...I'm sorry! But I'm glad you picked up some helpful tips in spite of the noise😘 One thing you could do is send the video with the timestamps of the sections that you'd like her to see😍

I thought the cut was going to be too short at first but oh my goodness it was not it is just perfect you have the most lovely face and totally suit the hairstyle i love everything about it.....I had a very short cut a couple of weeks back the stylist texturised my hair and now it just feels so dry i can't do a lot with it, anyway it's just hair and it will grow, but your hair is perfect well done to your stylist.
Oh thank you!🥰 Try using a deep conditioning masque and that might help smooth the hair a bit....my favorite is the JOICO K-Pak Color Therapy Luster Lock.
