    Totally agree with this. There is a lot of content creators telling people to invest and hold for 6 months, but that’s only under the assumption that they sneaker market continues to stay on fire for the next 6 months.

      Yea sneaker markets have some stability but you never know what happens. I understand that other content creators are just trying to help, but I think some people might think it’s just a guarantee

    Great advice, I randomly purchased some BB550s based off social media, few weeks later I tripled my money and now I am flipping at a decent rate along with some grail Jordan holds. Few losses but definitely need to have a stomach for it

    The last of the video is what people really need to hear. I’d say If you have 10k and wanna by low and sell high I’d invest ab 20% of that margin witch is 2k into investments and everything else run quick flips till u hit 20-30-40k and keep investing like that. That’s what I did

    Some sneakers that viewers can consider investing
    1. Jordan 4 Retro Lightning size 10.5-13
    2. Jordan 1 Low Starfish Size 9-13
    3. Jordan 1 Low OG Neutral Grey Size 10.5-13
    4. Air Max 90 NRG Bacon 🥓 size 10.5-12.5
    Things to take into consideration:
    1. Federal Reserve raising interest rate
    2. What shoes will be popular during summer
    3. What shoes have reached it’s ceiling price
    Good luck!

      I've got some lightening's but I'm trying on some Bordeaux 1's too. We will see what happens, 6 pairs of lightening's and about 8 pairs of Bordeaux. Waiting for the summer boom.

    Nice insights. Flipping sneakers 101. I’ve found that scarcity is a big factor and I’m not sure how to find out the number of pairs released each time. Not to mention the re-release factor after the fact, but that’s unknown and only guesstimated.

    • @holygroundshop
      @holygroundshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea in most cases the scarcity plays a big factor unless the shoe itself is just a big flop. Kinda like those Jordan 1 low sole flys that dropped recently. Pretty limited but shoe is ugly and has been reselling for retail

    Anytime I'm investing in any industry I always go by the old rule, the cheaper an item is the easier it is to sell. More people have $150 to spend on shoes then $600 to spend on shoes. So invest low and set your sale price, then sell them when they reach that price.

  • @meatwadsprlte
    @meatwadsprlte 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Making this comment before finishing the video, but a big thing you should mention is the change of making $600 now needing to report for taxes, where as before it was $20,000. This is a big deal for small time part time sneaker sellers who do it as a side hobby/gig. Since the sneaker market blowing up in 2020 and 2021, this is a big thing looking forward. It can really hurt the market. guess we will see in a year.

    • @holygroundshop
      @holygroundshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea I would say for most smaller resellers who are trying to avoid taxes, you can sell to local shops like myself. You won’t get the biggest cash out but you won’t get a 1099 for it

    Do you have capital? No (quickflip) Yes (quickflip and holds)
    What to take into account for investing?
    1. Popularity/Hype
    2. Color blocking (look at similar trends in models and colorway)
    3. Quantity how many produced
    4. Buy in cost
    5. How long to hold the shoes
    6. ROI return on investment

    How does someone get their hands on multiple pairs of shoes lol that in the first place? I try and try to get one pair when they drop and never get through. I have money to spend on multiple pairs but I get discouraged when I try and don’t get through.

    • @holygroundshop
      @holygroundshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most people pay resell prices for holds. Since hitting for retail is difficult you just buy in on the after market in hopes that the after market will keep increasing

    • @F30586
      @F30586 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@holygroundshop so from what I see it’s about a small profit multiplied by whatever amount of shoes you are able to sell. No one is getting rich quick, you have to do the footwork, make small profits and let them just pile up. Except for those that have the direct plug and are able to buy bulk. I’d be happy to find a seller with multiples of certain shoes at a price that’s profitable for both of us willing to keep a good business relationship going. And I’m on the late train. Lol

    Is the peak market value for a shoe basically close to when it re-retroes? I’m not sure when to sell my OG colourways 2016 Bred 1, 2016 WC4, 2016 space jams, 2018 concords, 2018 BC3 etc… thanks

    • @holygroundshop
      @holygroundshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well the retros will always restock but I’m not sure what their plans are. I would say the 2015-2017 era might be getting closer to a restock but it’s still hard to say
      I think bred 1’s and white cement 4’s are pretty high in value already. I would say in another 1-2 years we might see retros
      I wouldn’t worry so much about the 2018 pairs yet

    • @lookatmycloset
      @lookatmycloset 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No if it retros then you held too long. Ppl always will want the newer version because it’s cheaper. I learned this with my 2012 bred and fire red 4s. All of those shoes you said would be good to sell anytime except the bred 1s I would say. That’s one that can keep going, bc3 also maybe. If you want the most you can get I would say wait until December the market spikes due to ppl buying xmas gifts etc.

  • @michaelmoepono8811
    @michaelmoepono8811 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If ya have a feeling that a shoe could restock, why would you buy a shoe at $1000 in hopes to make profit?
    Wouldn’t you just want to try and get pairs within the retail range? If possible

    • @holygroundshop
      @holygroundshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I meant to say
      They didn’t expect the shoe to restock so they bought soon after the release. Then the shoe restocked unexpectedly which made them lose money. My point was saying that sneaker holds can be risky
      Hitting for retail is def always better, but for some hot shoes like for example Jordan 1 mocha. It was reselling for $300 initially then in 3-4months jumped up to $450-500 which was a good hold for people
      It ranges on each shoe but typically the safe route is to cop closer to retail

  • @MrGalaktick51
    @MrGalaktick51 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    60 bucks on an item that you lock in for 6 months isn't a good investement at all. Unless you sell a shit ton it's sincerly not worth it.

    • @holygroundshop
      @holygroundshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea the idea is to have multiples. But also making an extra $60 is still better than just having your money sit in a bank

    • @MrGalaktick51
      @MrGalaktick51 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@holygroundshop For sure it is, but then we come across an other problem which is the capital. You need to have a certain amount to allow yourself to sit on 300+ (per pair). For sure after a certain time you'll have your cash back and a better cash flow, but I wouldnt say that it's a good thing to start investing in such expensive pairs.
      You gotta build up a decent capital based on stuff you pay retail at first.

    • @holygroundshop
      @holygroundshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea totally agree which is why at the end I explained to people that the general idea is just to buy but you have to look at your financial situation to see if it’s even worth it to hold such a good amount do capital. It’s only worth it for your able to sit on it while still have other active cash flow options
      I wouldn’t suggest holding shoes just to hold shoes as your only source of profit. It’s more of a risk and like you said, it’s not the best idea to hold that much capital
