If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbitl in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.

I told two private students to read just one chapter of a book every day and then write a short summary of what they read in the chapter.
I was stunned that not one was able to maintain a consistency of 7 days.
You most likely gave them too much at one time. If you would have said, read one page a day and then at the end write a summary on it, you would have gotten better results.

But I honestly don't see the value in telling someone to read one page a day.
But okay, maybe two chapters a week may have been easier.
I don't think it's about it being too much, it's about it being kind of random. I can't read a chapter of a book for the sake of reading a chapter of a book.
But when I find a book that for some reason convinces me that there's real valuable knowledge in there that will help me solve problems, then I can go through the whole book in a day or 2.
It's about the meaning behind the reading, thinking it will be useful.
invstors need to act cautiously but remain vigilant in monitoring the market landscape for opportunities to pick up high-quality assets at discounted prices. These are difficult environments, but they also coincide with the best opportunities.
The stock market is a way to hedge against inflation. Most notably amidst recession, investors need to understand where and how to allocate funds to hedge against inflation and still make profits

You know these days it's really easy to buy into trending stock`s, but the task is determining when to buy or sell . My advisorr decides entry and exit commands on my portfoliio, I've accrued over $550k from an initially stagnant reserve of $150K

ways to increase value->sales/price
You know within minutes of meeting someone, most of the time, the level of mastery they have within their craft. I'm not talking about the ability to regurgitate practiced sales pitches. I'm talking about how well that individual can discuss every aspect of their domain in relevant, simple, and concise narratives and to do so in "flow."
I stumbled on your videos flipping through general success and motivational videos. I'm not even looking to start a business in the near term, but your content and delivery was so informative and compelling that I watched the whole thing. By the end, I feel like I have taken away actionable secrets and a framework for delivering product or service value.

Quick question;
What would be the most effective way of measuring ones own results from a marketing campaign against simple organic growth?
Running a referral as the campaign link i guess would work, but people could simply bypass that by heading straight onto the site of the thing one is marketing?
What is your book name please?
Would you tell the client this guarantee before they ask from the get go?
Or just hold it until they ask you/object?

I think we could add another variable to the equation. If we add risk involved on the bottom part of the equation (say, they only pay if they make a profit, or a profit sharing model then we’re shifting the risk from them to ourselves) and then the risk is 0 or very low then it is an almost irresistible offer. What do you think?
