      You need to check on the possibility of getting employment based green cards in USA after graduation. There is a 10+ year queue.

    1)How and when to start writing research papers?(in btech)

      There is no problem in studying engineering in USA. The only problem is getting PR. For India, there is a 10+ year queue in employment based green cards. And the queue is getting longer each year due to the large number of Indian applicants (backlog) waiting in line. You should lookk into Canada as well.

    • @curious9208
      @curious9208 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@smwk2017 what is PR? Actually I'm very new to all these concepts.

    • @smwk2017
      @smwk2017 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@curious9208 PR = permanent residency = green card.
      With green card, you can't leave USA for more than 6 months without prior permission. Green card can be revoked by USA. Also, if you commit any felony under green card, you can forget about US citizenship.

    • @darshantawte7435
      @darshantawte7435 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      There is no such thing as recession. I think you haven't followed the news. US economy infact grew instead of shrinking in past 1-2 years despite all the chaos happening. For job market if you are in IT , software engineering or in general Computer science domain I can assure there there are plenty job opportunities. Also it is much easier to get into product based companies given the fact you have skills.

    How does student loans work for an international student for a masters degree? Like for example, if I can afford $20,000 out of pocket for the whole degree, how high can I aim in terms of prestigious universities and total costs? Is it realistic to apply to a university where it's gonna cost $50k and take a $30k loan which I would then try to pay back during the F-1 visa OPT period? Am I correct in thinking that way or am I missing something important? These are somewhat large sums of money for me personally. International students with F-1 visas can only work in-campus 20 hrs a week serving other students; thus, jobs are very competitive. During summer, you can work fulltime, but most in-campus facilities (cafeteria and bookstores) are either closed or have reduced hours. You can work off-campus only for CPT (curricular practical training) and OPT (optional practical training); these are course related work.

    I have got overall 65% in my five years BALLB degree.
    My CGPA looks below 3 out of 4.
    I really wanted to go to Purdue, but still confused as to which degree should I opt for as I'm planning to switch my field.
    Can you please help me?

    Hey Parth,
    Is gre exam mandatory?? Or we can just give IELTS exam masters admission process. Will it be worthwhile??

      Yeah, I also have the same doubt. I'm pretty confused as many universities ask for both GRE and IELTS/TOFEL and some don't.
