    I'm starting Nursing school in August 2017! Once I got accepted I went from being excited to feeling like can I actually do this? Am I smart enough? I'm for sure going to just stay positive and believe in myself. Thanks for the video!

      +RegisteredNurseRN yes ur channel help me to undrstand lot of things thank u ^^ !
      i was talkg abt the exam or test dont know what they call it its for admission u pass it bfr u enter college !! (sorry for my english ;im a french student still trying to emprove my englsh) anyways i decide to study nursing at community college in OHio state and i want to know if its is really very tough to get into Nursing college ,??!! if its the case , where can i found exam or test they make u new students pass ?? so i can prepare now !! CAN U PLZ TALK ABOUT URSELF WHATS UR SPECIALITY , HOW MANY YEARS U STUDY WHICH DEGREE U HAVE PLZ ^^ AND SORRY IF I BOTHER U

    • @RegisteredNurseRN
      @RegisteredNurseRN  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Rita Benbrahim No problem :) It really depends on what the community college you are applying for requires. Some require an ACT or SAT exam and others require the COMPASS. However, once you are admitted to the nursing program at the college they may require you to take another entrance exam (usually ATIs or HESI).
      Typically, if you score well on your nursing entrance exam and have good grades in the pre-requisite classes that the nursing program requires you to take...it isn't too hard to get in. They usually have this information posted on their website on what exams you are required to take. I highly recommend you contact a program advisor through the school (they are very helpful and always eager to help). I'm a cardiac nurse and it took me 4 years at a university to obtain my bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).

    Hi Sarah, I have been watching your videos for quite some time & I must say that I find them really interesting and helpful.. Thank you! Question, is it okay to use ebooks in nursing school for certain texts or is it better to have the physical book? I'm trying to cut cost on some of the texts being that I don't work and won't be able to always purchase required texts at a high price.

    is the tests of entrance, are they English, math, etc. or only science related?

    • @RegisteredNurseRN
      @RegisteredNurseRN  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Cari Baez Yes, they typically cover these areas. I highly recommend you purchase a study guide made by the company your nursing school uses. For example, if you have to take the HESI A2 or TEAS buy those study guides.

    • @RegisteredNurseRN
      @RegisteredNurseRN  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Juan Perez Thanks for your comment, Juan! I actually have three videos on this topic. The first one is about a sample nursing school curriculum you can expect to take (th-cam.com/video/d5_iuwXEOj4/w-d-xo.html).
      The other one is about the differences between an associates degree in nursing and bachelor's degree in nursing (th-cam.com/video/n2qAT7BQFwY/w-d-xo.html).
      The third is about an ADN degree: th-cam.com/video/VPNUNnMQMHk/w-d-xo.html
      Here is a great article that lays out all of the things about an ADN degree: www.registerednursern.com/adn-or-bsn-nursing-degree-what-is-the-difference-between-adn-bsn-programs/
      I hope that helps :)
