Thanks! So am I haha
will you lull me to sleep with wombat facts in your soothing voice
As your Wombat is critically endangered, maybe he/she should be rescuing the babies. (Is it joey for all marsupials?) It'll be interesting to see how the powerups work - hopefully this will distinguish it from being just a regular platformer
I really like that idea. I think having wombat babies as a collectable would be so cute. I'm not sure if it's 'joey' for all marsupials but I know wombat babies are called that. Thanks, if you have any powerup ideas, let me know!
awesome video. i like the history lessons mixed in 😆
Thanks! Researching it was fun too 😀
Is this a metroidvania if it has levels? Is it meant to be one or -vania in name is just for fun?
Wombat facts made me think that having an invincible butt can be a fun mechanic.
I may have worded the explanation weirdly. It only has the one level. Some parts are just inaccessible until you obtain powerups. It's just a metroidvania but smaller. I like the butt idea and would like to try to work it into the gameplay
@@Absurd_Games_Studio ah, I probably was not paying enough attention. Nice little project. Good luck to you!
What engine is that?
unity
@@Fernandez0907 the runtime fee? yea. it's a shame and i think unity is a pretty shitty company but the engine is still really powerful and a great tool. plus, they revised the runtime fee to now be much more fair (though i still dont trust them because of the initial version of it)
It's Unity. And yeah, they've been shady recently, even if they did change it to be a little more fair, but it's still one of the most powerful and user-friendly engines for indie devs. I don't plan to sell any of these games anyway, but I do plan to try out different engines in the future
