I used the soundtrack to make me type faster at my job.
The funny thing is the Seahorse boss shooting out Mini seahorses is actually...Appropriate? Because males hold the young eggs and basically spray them out when they're hatched/born.

I was on a boat in the ocean and a Hyper Greatthing breached not 50 feet off the starboard bow. We all had to dodge the little anchors it shot at us.

I remember playing this on Super Nintendo as a kid, and loving the music. Then later, I played Super Nova/Darius Force (also the SNES version), and was so disappointed by the lack of upbeat music in that game. Haha.

Hi Shadowserg. They should do a Console Wars for Darius Twin and SuperNova(Darius Force) on Super Nintendo vs. Darius 2(Sagia) for Sega genesis.
I love that dark coronatus boss because you can basically just sit in the top right corner of the screen and hell just go away by himself eventually
Same with dual shears, you can shoot him with your diagonal lasers from the top of the screen and he doesn't reach you. The difference is dual shears dies but you can't kill dark coronatus that way

Am I missing something or is there bad hit detection in this game? For example, the turtle boss seems to only sometimes flash when hit in the face.
Game is 60 fps, TH-cam is 30 fps.
Meaning most flickering and blinking visual effects are lost unless the video is processed to blend those frames before the TH-cam upload as 30 fps (recently there's an option for 60 fps videos)

RacerXRocks darius has a branching stage structure that lets you choose your own path. While this results in multiple endings, most people take "Great Thing" (Hyper Greatthing here) as the canon last boss mostly due to it's status as a reoccurring final boss and series staple (also Great Thing endings tend to be somewhat satisfying and not depressing and/or sad as fuck)
@@raiverns9620 Except this particular title, in which Great Thing is not even present in a final stage. Actually, while Darius Twin has branch pathes, they all converge to a single last stage.

For me this was one of the worst launch games. I hoped it would have been more like the arcade version. Bad use of colors and the soundtrack wasn’t from Zuntata. Axelay and Gradius had my attention after this pile of trash.
This was my first side scrolling shooting game when i was a child. Gradius and R Type comes next and I gotta say there all great. Gradius and R Type really stands out more but Darius ehhh not so much but one nice easy game to play. Soundtrack awesome!
But it is Zuntata. Maybe you were thinking about Darius Force?
