I just want to say sorry for the delayed video that I'm sure many of you were expecting this weekend. I had a rather serious family situation, and I couldn't bring myself to watch the latest episode of RWBY for almost a week. and tbh i think Ruby has to be the one who got hit the hardest from Volume 3. In a way it's ironic she's always to slow to save a friend when her semblance is speed. She probably blames herself a little for not being able to save Pyrrha or Penny.
I think the relic is Ozpin's Cookie Recipe with is most likely stored in his Staff. So I think Salem will take the staff and throw it away which will revive Ozpin so everyone fights for the cookie recipe and Salem makes cookie Grimm and then Ruby eats all of them. Then Salem trys to make the last cookie Grimm but Ruby eats Salem and the cookie dough

Considering Ruby is the main character, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw her wrath unleashed on Tyrian first. He seems to be the most expendable of WTCH... although afterwards, it would probably just be "WCH".
Man and if I'm right on my theory that Qrow is gonna step in during the Tyrian vs Ruby fight, then Tyrian will see Ozpins cane and can report it back to Salem. Shits gonna go down for the villains soon

Fireheart47 I think Salem can open a Gate like Raven. So it could be possible that Tyrian get the cane and/or Ruby and go directly back to Salem. Or she open the Gate and killed Qurow from the "shadows". Another theory from me is that the Cane is the relique to find the place where the maidens are. So Qurow will find the other maidens and protect they, especially Ruby is maybe a maiden.
I also think Qrow will appear when Tyrian attacks Ruby. I also hope Qrow trains Ruby more, continuing her on the path of the classical hero (Qrow being her mentor).
Dude, family comes first before RWBY, and if you needed time to sort out the family issue, go ahead & take that time off. I did want to ask something - There were 4 episodes of RWBY Chibi left and you just sorta stopped after Episode 20 when Roman came back into the scene. If you weren't able to get to them and I completely understand if you couldn't. The ending of RWBY Chibi did sorta indicate that we'll likely be getting a Season 2 probably when the current volumes are on break or something like that. I don't know as it's just a theory I have. Anyway, dang great reaction, Murder of Birds, and I look forward to Episode 4... whenever that comes out.
Controser Yeah, I figured as much. Still looking forward to it. Most people thought that this Chapter was gonna be all about Blake but NOPE, we got both Blake & Yang in this episode. And I'm happy that a lot of fans/Including myself called that Yang was gonna get a robot arm, but she has to get through her PTSD first before putting it on and kicking some ass again. I wonder if the robot arm has an Ember Celica built into it since one of Yang's Ember Celicas was lost at the Battle of Beacon.
ZeltraxMillenium Oh that would be an interesting idea if it did. Would not put it past the General to do so. However i do not see her using it. If you look back at the concept art she has a metal stub covering her disarmament. I feel it would give her more character and empowerment to come to terms with event and accept the arm as it is. Not give her a crutch to make up for it.

About the Cinder treatment. I'm 99% certain that it has to do with how she got the Maiden's power. The glove that spawned a beetle and faded away, marking her with her tattoo. I'm fairly certain Cinder "merged" with the grimm beetle. It's why Ruby could harm her with her silver eyes. Salem mentioned this the first episode, how the maiden's power gave Cinder a crippling weakness. Except it's not related to the maiden's power, but how Cinder got the maiden's power. And by the way, don't worry about being late on videos. You worry too much about our expectations but our only real expectation is for you to take your time to keep making good content ;)
I have always loved the dual symbolism inherent in the Yang character, and anticipated that it would lead to greater things. Her father's name literally translates to the sun in Mandarin, and the raven has always been considered a dark omen of sorts. With her PTSD and new fear, I'm very hopeful that the more nightly side of her heritage might begin to assert itself. A darker Yang might bring some interesting twists to the show.

Glad to see you're still doing these vids. Your reaction vids are awesome, and a great inspiration for me to keep writing my OC fanfic team. As for yang, the glass shattering is akin to the slash noise from Adam's sword, so it is typical that any sound or image that is similar to the experience someone with ptsd will trigger a reaction. Basically their brain is telling the body it's happening again, so every sound Yang hears like that, is to her mind having her arm being cut off again and again. Worse is she knows it isn't happening but her body does it automatically, beyond her control. So that's something Yang will have to overcome or it will consume her. As for Blake, this raises questions about everything she's said. Back in vol 1, she stated she was orphaned, yet clearly from the OP, they are her parents or blood related family at least. So that means she lied to Sun & the others, even when explaining the white fang. That is going to come back on Blake, lord knows I don't want them to suffer any further but her friends are going to question what else she hasn't told them or lied about. Cinder & Salem, that eluded to a fan theory that I'm hoping to be true, not to mention it begs the question of why she's lying, what does she have to hide from Salem. Also the Grimm, the sea dragon, some sort of leach I'd guess is on Cinders arm (since it's hidden off screen & that tentacle mind Grimm. So many new Grimm!!!

I think I mentioned this fact either in my reaction or my review....that it isn't good news for her if Cinder said no. She knows she's fucked either way, so she chose the answer that would buy her more time. No, she gave an honest answer. Cinder truly believes she killed Ozpin, so the only conclusion is that Ozpin faked his own death. Salem figured it out and now she's pissed.
I mean Cinder Kamehameha Ozpin when he has his dome shield. Ozpin could maybe teleport or time travel back or forward which would cause him to disappear. Cinder then could be duped to thinking she disintegrated Ozpin. The problem tho is how Qrow got his cane, my theory is that Ozpin kind of dropped it off at a place where Qrow would look for Ozpin if he was alive or something like that.
but with the look on Cinder's face when she said yes- it looked unsure, she has been looking uncertain this whole volume so far, so it is possible deep down she knows Ozpin is not dead.

As frightening as Adam may be, he's just a small fish in a much larger ocean, but I'm sure after her dad helps her regain her confidence she won't let anyone stop her. Blake looks really sexy in that new outfit, the cat ears are a sight for sore eyes, and of course Sun hits on her in a fight for their lives, can't wait for him to meet Blake's parents. Blake will learn sooner rather then later is that everything catches up with us no matter what we do it'll be hard for her to rebuild the friendships she shattered. Salem seems to be looking for someone not Ozpin per say but she had to make sure Ozpin is dead, I don't think the relic is an item rather Ozpin's body which may lead to whoever Salem wishes to find. Jellyfish Grimm seem to be more sentient then other Grimm since that one "talked" to Salem about probably not finding Ozpins "corpse". Also I'm sure a villain centered episode will come in this volume possibly how either Salem formed her inner circle and how she came to be or how Cinder was recruited and became the woman she is now, that's just my theory anyway. Still can't wait for Tyrian V.S Ruby he'll probably be far stronger then Cinder since she probably had to become a maiden in order to become on par with the other three, but only time will tell, not to mention they've all fought silver eyed warriors implying more then just Summer Rose so maybe (excluding Cinder possibly) are a lot older then they look.
I suspect Cinder was on par with the others before. She was in charge of the first move and killing Ozpin. As for ages, I'd think Cinder is 28-32, Watts and Hazel are in their 40's, and Tyrian about 35.
Cinder definitely thinks she killed ozpin. I believe in the shield vs cinder fireblast clash, ozpin used some magic trick to turn the raw power of cinders blast into an energy he can use to catalyst some time jump or escape maneuver. TO cinder it looks like ozpin simply got obliterated and thats why she thinks she killed him. That tentacle jellyfish showed up and told salem there is no sign of the " relic " yet and that is what caused salem to question cinder if ozpin is really dead yet. Qrow has the relic right now which is ozpins cane, hence why the grim at beacon cannot find it.

It seems like a miss move on her part tbh since if this relic is so important it should have been on cinder's check list. cinder seemed like her only thing was to take down beacon and overrun it with grimm.. perhaps she was going to tell cinder about it after the beacon plan was fully complete to not overwhelm cinder with objectives, since cinder seems like the type to severely and thoroughly execute her plans, and salem believed cinder already had enough on her plate. Cinder "defeating" ozpin was a happy accident for salem's gang as well as getting rid of potential heroes like pyrrha and penny *Sad *
I dont think she's trying to turn her into a grimm I think whats happened is that, whatever Ruby did to her is very similar to a stroke and she's lost the use of pretty much her entire left side and what Salem is making her go through is something akin to physical therapy, albeit probably with a magic slant. It could also be that Cinder is linked to the Dragon thats frozen on Beacon Tower and while its unable to move, presumeably from fear, its translating into a physical affect upon Cinder as well and until Cinder can convince it to be more scared of her than it is of Ruby, she's going to be stuck in the condition she's currently in. As for the relic.... I'm not sure it would be Ozpin's staff or the even the crystal from Amber's staff as some have suggested. I don't think it would be something so obvious as those
I think Ruby badly affected the Grimm beetle's connection with Cinder that was infused into Cinder's arm after stealing the Fall Maiden's power when she awakened her power.

When Salem mentioned a relic, first thing I thought of was Ozpin's cane, but the SECOND thing that came to mind was way back during volume 1 where the new students had to find and collect a 'relic' from the old dilapidated temple in the woods as part of their team creation process.
BlackPhoenix331 thats right he has his cane. Remember in season one the RELICS everyone found were chess pieces? So what if it's that. also, i think that the farm boy in episode one of this volume is none other than a regenerating Ozpin. Somehow he rose out of his death, like a phoenix does and as he regenerates he's going through his youth again. The relic either did this or just might be something else entirely. I know Ozpin is obviously based on the Wizard of Oz, but each character has there own personality and occasionally a power inspired by said character or maybe another. What if he is similar to Dr Who in his regenerating factor? He was always in the tower surrounded by time. Now that i think about it, if the relic isn't a chess piece, maybe its a clock or something like a watch. What was in Ozpin's office? We may have already seen it unless it really is the cane.

Cinder might be killed by Salem later because during the Salem Witch Trials, anyone who didn't confess to having a bond with Satan was killed and Cinder didn't confess to killing Ozpin. Might be far-fetched because the conditions are pretty different
At the moment, I don't think so. If Cinder dies, the Autumn Maiden's power will go to another random girl, and Salem will have to waste unnecessary time trying to find her. I think Salem is trying to corrupt the Maiden's power, twist it so that its power will either become a force for evil, or it will be destroyed or its power nullified. Either way, it's going to upset the laws of nature on Remnant.
Also, Jaune may die to Salem. Since Jaune is based off of Joan of Arc, we can draw our conclusions by simply going into Joan of Arc's story. Joan of Arc was burned at the stake after being accused of witchcraft by Cardinal of Winchester. Salem is most likely named after (not based off of) the town of Salem is Massachusetts, where many witch prosecutions took place. 20 were killed in the famous witch hunts. We can assume that Jaune will live to see the final battle, but may die in the end. Also, Joan of Arc also saved her country at the age of 17, but died before the age of 20. Using this same method, we can predict how Nora and Ren will die.
I don't think Jaune will die... at least not because of his character type. It's bad story telling to base your story constantly on the inspiration of another story. It should be original. Pyrrha's death made sense (especially when she talked about destiny, and she was a classical hero), but that doesn't mean all characters should follow the path of their inspiration. It will reduce the emotional impact of events.
coolbanana165 Anyone ever noticed Pyrrha's name? She's named after King Pyrrhus of Epirus who led his armies to victory against Rome... but he won his battles at such a high cost it might have been better to just accept defeat. Now conisder what happened to Pyrrha at Beacon. Sure in the end Cinder and the Grimm Dragon were defeated, but it was not a victory by any stretch of the imagination.

Hey Murder, I wanted to ask your opinion on something. I've really been loving volume 4. The animation is beautiful, love the characters and the story. There's one part that I feel is lacking it's luster and that's the action. I feel since Monty passed away, the action is quite different (and I know that's understandable since Monty choreographed the action). Volume 3 was less noticeable but in this chapter I think it was really evident how different it was. I'm noticing a lot of aerial movement, a lot of what it seems like floating in the air and slow movement. It could be what they're going for or really it's hard to keep up with the action. But when I compare the action to volume 1,2 and even dead fantasy, it's quite different. I wanted to know what was your opinion on this and hopefully you'll understand that this is just my personal opinion and I'm in no way hating the show cause I'm very much a fan of rwby. Thanks!
citygirl415 I think the combat mostly feels like their moves carry no momentum. Like when Ruby knocked that bolder away from Nora, or when Nora and Ruby teamed up and Nora smashed the rocks away

The best animators for the fight scenes are not at RT anymore, judging from what I've seen so far in Volume 4. Shane Newville is not here anymore, apparently Dillon Gu is done with his contract in Volume 3 and of course there's no Monty. Most of the good fights you see from Volume 3 were Shane and Dillon's works. It really has nothing to do with Maya except I'm not sure if it's possible to do motion capture with Maya (still Monty said fighting scenes were done without MoCap). All I've seen so far is stiff and lazy animation. Don't get me wrong it looks a lot better than the previous volumes but in terms of fluidity Volume 4 is noticeably lacking. RT really needs to up there fighting scene game because, after all, that was what got most of the people here into watching this series (yes I am talking about the trailers xD).
I think the fights are far superior to Volume 3 so far. Volume 3 was a massive setback in fight choreography.... They did get much better in later episodes though. And this is a new animation program, so mastering it will take some time. I expect a marked increase in choreography and quality as the episodes progress. Keep in mind this is only episode 3 lol

I find it so funny when Yang is in the center of the screen and you're all like "Zwei I love you!" like you are trying to look away from her arm and forget about it. Yang's look and behaviour here as well as Barb's incredible performance blew me away, so much so actually that I didn't notice that Zwei was there before watching your video. I also think is the cane. I remember in volume 2 when ozpin is speaking with Blake you can see there is a zoom focusing on the cane and with Qrow looking at it at the end of volume three they are hinting its importance.
Personally I think that the dropping of the bow is a bad thing in this scene. WHEN someone does a meaningful act affects its meaning. Blake abandoned her bow because she knows discrimination won't affect her in Menagerie. However the bow also represents her time with her friends and teammate, as well as her vow to keep it till she beats the White Fang. She's given up on that mission and those memories. Yang isn't the only one who gave up.
X-Dragon Hunter See I don't agree, the fact that she got rid of the bow on her way home, feels like she's hiding behind her family. It would mean (as you said) that she is not hiding or running away when she takes it off, but not when she's doing that exact thing.
I'm not sure it's 'just angst'. But I'd like to point out that angst doesn't mean exaggerated anxiety. It's an intense feeling of dread. But I suspect when Blake is 'paranoid', she's getting emotional flashbacks of being stabbed and a friend mutilated. Those are legitimately very negative feelings. Blake probably feared for her and Yangs life then... the sort of thing that would bring Grimm.
coolbanana165 Fair enough, I was mostly trying to be funny, but my point was questioning if one person with such feelings (that we know of on the boat, at least) was really enough to draw a Grimm. Last time it took an entire stadium full of people seeing Yang attack a "helpless" combatant for them to even notice, and then the second time when Penny died on television for them to finally get off their butts and get moving. One girl on a boat just feels like small potatoes by comparison. Realistically, it could've just as easily been swimming nearby and simply saw the boat.
WisperG But with the stadium, it was an attack by multiple Grimm on a kingdom's capital. Here it's just one Grimm and one person. I'm not saying that definitely why, jut that it's possible.
I'm pretty sure the song we're hearing during the fight with Sun & Blake against the "Dragon" is From Shadows Part 2, at least from the bits I could hear while the fight was going on when I saw this episode.
I really like her as a villain, she is scheming, manipulative all good attributes for a villain. I really want to know how she is connected to Salem- how did they meet?

Family comes first, man do what you got to do know where all pulling for yea. I wanna say one thing about the portion when the glass breaks on the ground for Yang. That scene right their hit me personally. I know that moment of absolute panic that sudden hits when you remember something traumatic that happened to you. While your going through your day when a certain noise, smell or action just about whatever suddenly sets you off. Then that moment of guilt you feel for having acted that way, that was one of the best written and acted moments so far of this season for me.
i think Cinder will betray salem cause when salem finds out that ozpin is not dead(if hes not dead) she will try to kill her or something and cinder will try to fight back and idk what will happen
RIP Gyardos. Blake seems to be running to avoid the White Fang, but also to keep her friends safe (in her eyes) and to make sure her family is ok. I think Salem was talking to Cinder about the Grim they used to take the Maiden's powers. Also, I believe Cinder thinks she killed Ozpin, but Salem is aware that Ozpin wouldn't be killed that "easily."
I really loved how Blake's cat ears move based on her emotions. As cute as the bow was, I'm glad she got rid of it :)

I think the relic is Ozpin's Cookie Recipe with is most likely stored in his Staff. So I think Salem will take the staff and throw it away which will revive Ozpin so everyone fights for the cookie recipe and Salem makes cookie Grimm and then Ruby eats all of them. Then Salem trys to make the last cookie Grimm but Ruby eats Salem and the cookie dough

Fireheart47 I think Salem can open a Gate like Raven. So it could be possible that Tyrian get the cane and/or Ruby and go directly back to Salem. Or she open the Gate and killed Qurow from the "shadows". Another theory from me is that the Cane is the relique to find the place where the maidens are. So Qurow will find the other maidens and protect they, especially Ruby is maybe a maiden.
I also think Qrow will appear when Tyrian attacks Ruby. I also hope Qrow trains Ruby more, continuing her on the path of the classical hero (Qrow being her mentor).

I did want to ask something - There were 4 episodes of RWBY Chibi left and you just sorta stopped after Episode 20 when Roman came back into the scene.
If you weren't able to get to them and I completely understand if you couldn't. The ending of RWBY Chibi did sorta indicate that we'll likely be getting a Season 2 probably when the current volumes are on break or something like that. I don't know as it's just a theory I have.

And I'm happy that a lot of fans/Including myself called that Yang was gonna get a robot arm, but she has to get through her PTSD first before putting it on and kicking some ass again.
I wonder if the robot arm has an Ember Celica built into it since one of Yang's Ember Celicas was lost at the Battle of Beacon.

About the Cinder treatment. I'm 99% certain that it has to do with how she got the Maiden's power. The glove that spawned a beetle and faded away, marking her with her tattoo. I'm fairly certain Cinder "merged" with the grimm beetle. It's why Ruby could harm her with her silver eyes. Salem mentioned this the first episode, how the maiden's power gave Cinder a crippling weakness. Except it's not related to the maiden's power, but how Cinder got the maiden's power.
And by the way, don't worry about being late on videos. You worry too much about our expectations but our only real expectation is for you to take your time to keep making good content ;)
I have always loved the dual symbolism inherent in the Yang character, and anticipated that it would lead to greater things. Her father's name literally translates to the sun in Mandarin, and the raven has always been considered a dark omen of sorts. With her PTSD and new fear, I'm very hopeful that the more nightly side of her heritage might begin to assert itself. A darker Yang might bring some interesting twists to the show.

Yang definitely has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This episode alone shows that she meets all the diagnostic criteria for PTSD.

As for yang, the glass shattering is akin to the slash noise from Adam's sword, so it is typical that any sound or image that is similar to the experience someone with ptsd will trigger a reaction. Basically their brain is telling the body it's happening again, so every sound Yang hears like that, is to her mind having her arm being cut off again and again.
Worse is she knows it isn't happening but her body does it automatically, beyond her control. So that's something Yang will have to overcome or it will consume her.
As for Blake, this raises questions about everything she's said. Back in vol 1, she stated she was orphaned, yet clearly from the OP, they are her parents or blood related family at least. So that means she lied to Sun & the others, even when explaining the white fang. That is going to come back on Blake, lord knows I don't want them to suffer any further but her friends are going to question what else she hasn't told them or lied about.
Cinder & Salem, that eluded to a fan theory that I'm hoping to be true, not to mention it begs the question of why she's lying, what does she have to hide from Salem.
Also the Grimm, the sea dragon, some sort of leach I'd guess is on Cinders arm (since it's hidden off screen & that tentacle mind Grimm. So many new Grimm!!!

I think I mentioned this fact either in my reaction or my review....that it isn't good news for her if Cinder said no. She knows she's fucked either way, so she chose the answer that would buy her more time. Telling the truth to a Grimm Witch Queen, who will kill you if she finds out your deception, is similar to playing tag with a psychotic serial killer.
No, she gave an honest answer. Cinder truly believes she killed Ozpin, so the only conclusion is that Ozpin faked his own death. Salem figured it out and now she's pissed.
I mean Cinder Kamehameha Ozpin when he has his dome shield. Ozpin could maybe teleport or time travel back or forward which would cause him to disappear. Cinder then could be duped to thinking she disintegrated Ozpin. The problem tho is how Qrow got his cane, my theory is that Ozpin kind of dropped it off at a place where Qrow would look for Ozpin if he was alive or something like that.

As frightening as Adam may be, he's just a small fish in a much larger ocean, but I'm sure after her dad helps her regain her confidence she won't let anyone stop her.
Blake looks really sexy in that new outfit, the cat ears are a sight for sore eyes, and of course Sun hits on her in a fight for their lives, can't wait for him to meet Blake's parents. Blake will learn sooner rather then later is that everything catches up with us no matter what we do it'll be hard for her to rebuild the friendships she shattered.
Salem seems to be looking for someone not Ozpin per say but she had to make sure Ozpin is dead, I don't think the relic is an item rather Ozpin's body which may lead to whoever Salem wishes to find.
Jellyfish Grimm seem to be more sentient then other Grimm since that one "talked" to Salem about probably not finding Ozpins "corpse".
Also I'm sure a villain centered episode will come in this volume possibly how either Salem formed her inner circle and how she came to be or how Cinder was recruited and became the woman she is now, that's just my theory anyway.
Still can't wait for Tyrian V.S Ruby he'll probably be far stronger then Cinder since she probably had to become a maiden in order to become on par with the other three, but only time will tell, not to mention they've all fought silver eyed warriors implying more then just Summer Rose so maybe (excluding Cinder possibly) are a lot older then they look.
I suspect Cinder was on par with the others before. She was in charge of the first move and killing Ozpin.
As for ages, I'd think Cinder is 28-32, Watts and Hazel are in their 40's, and Tyrian about 35.

Cinder definitely thinks she killed ozpin. I believe in the shield vs cinder fireblast clash, ozpin used some magic trick to turn the raw power of cinders blast into an energy he can use to catalyst some time jump or escape maneuver. TO cinder it looks like ozpin simply got obliterated and thats why she thinks she killed him. That tentacle jellyfish showed up and told salem there is no sign of the " relic " yet and that is what caused salem to question cinder if ozpin is really dead yet. Qrow has the relic right now which is ozpins cane, hence why the grim at beacon cannot find it.

It seems like a miss move on her part tbh since if this relic is so important it should have been on cinder's check list. cinder seemed like her only thing was to take down beacon and overrun it with grimm.. perhaps she was going to tell cinder about it after the beacon plan was fully complete to not overwhelm cinder with objectives, since cinder seems like the type to severely and thoroughly execute her plans, and salem believed cinder already had enough on her plate.
Cinder "defeating" ozpin was a happy accident for salem's gang as well as getting rid of potential heroes like pyrrha and penny *Sad *

I think whats happened is that, whatever Ruby did to her is very similar to a stroke and she's lost the use of pretty much her entire left side and what Salem is making her go through is something akin to physical therapy, albeit probably with a magic slant. It could also be that Cinder is linked to the Dragon thats frozen on Beacon Tower and while its unable to move, presumeably from fear, its translating into a physical affect upon Cinder as well and until Cinder can convince it to be more scared of her than it is of Ruby, she's going to be stuck in the condition she's currently in.
As for the relic.... I'm not sure it would be Ozpin's staff or the even the crystal from Amber's staff as some have suggested. I don't think it would be something so obvious as those

I think Ruby badly affected the Grimm beetle's connection with Cinder that was infused into Cinder's arm after stealing the Fall Maiden's power when she awakened her power.

When Salem mentioned a relic, first thing I thought of was Ozpin's cane, but the SECOND thing that came to mind was way back during volume 1 where the new students had to find and collect a 'relic' from the old dilapidated temple in the woods as part of their team creation process.

So what if it's that. also, i think that the farm boy in episode one of this volume is none other than a regenerating Ozpin. Somehow he rose out of his death, like a phoenix does and as he regenerates he's going through his youth again. The relic either did this or just might be something else entirely. I know Ozpin is obviously based on the Wizard of Oz, but each character has there own personality and occasionally a power inspired by said character or maybe another. What if he is similar to Dr Who in his regenerating factor? He was always in the tower surrounded by time. Now that i think about it, if the relic isn't a chess piece, maybe its a clock or something like a watch. What was in Ozpin's office? We may have already seen it unless it really is the cane.

Cinder might be killed by Salem later because during the Salem Witch Trials, anyone who didn't confess to having a bond with Satan was killed and Cinder didn't confess to killing Ozpin. Might be far-fetched because the conditions are pretty different
At the moment, I don't think so. If Cinder dies, the Autumn Maiden's power will go to another random girl, and Salem will have to waste unnecessary time trying to find her. I think Salem is trying to corrupt the Maiden's power, twist it so that its power will either become a force for evil, or it will be destroyed or its power nullified. Either way, it's going to upset the laws of nature on Remnant.
Also, Jaune may die to Salem. Since Jaune is based off of Joan of Arc, we can draw our conclusions by simply going into Joan of Arc's story. Joan of Arc was burned at the stake after being accused of witchcraft by Cardinal of Winchester. Salem is most likely named after (not based off of) the town of Salem is Massachusetts, where many witch prosecutions took place. 20 were killed in the famous witch hunts. We can assume that Jaune will live to see the final battle, but may die in the end. Also, Joan of Arc also saved her country at the age of 17, but died before the age of 20.
Using this same method, we can predict how Nora and Ren will die.
I don't think Jaune will die... at least not because of his character type. It's bad story telling to base your story constantly on the inspiration of another story. It should be original.
Pyrrha's death made sense (especially when she talked about destiny, and she was a classical hero), but that doesn't mean all characters should follow the path of their inspiration. It will reduce the emotional impact of events.

She's named after King Pyrrhus of Epirus who led his armies to victory against Rome... but he won his battles at such a high cost it might have been better to just accept defeat. Now conisder what happened to Pyrrha at Beacon. Sure in the end Cinder and the Grimm Dragon were defeated, but it was not a victory by any stretch of the imagination.

I've really been loving volume 4. The animation is beautiful, love the characters and the story. There's one part that I feel is lacking it's luster and that's the action. I feel since Monty passed away, the action is quite different (and I know that's understandable since Monty choreographed the action). Volume 3 was less noticeable but in this chapter I think it was really evident how different it was. I'm noticing a lot of aerial movement, a lot of what it seems like floating in the air and slow movement. It could be what they're going for or really it's hard to keep up with the action. But when I compare the action to volume 1,2 and even dead fantasy, it's quite different.
I wanted to know what was your opinion on this and hopefully you'll understand that this is just my personal opinion and I'm in no way hating the show cause I'm very much a fan of rwby.

True. But let's remember that they're using a new animation software (Maya) after using Poser for three volumes.
Yeah I know so I wasn't sure whether it was because it was the switch to Maya or a combination of things, etc etc. so I wanted to hear people's opinion on it. :)
The best animators for the fight scenes are not at RT anymore, judging from what I've seen so far in Volume 4.
Shane Newville is not here anymore, apparently Dillon Gu is done with his contract in Volume 3 and of course there's no Monty. Most of the good fights you see from Volume 3 were Shane and Dillon's works.
It really has nothing to do with Maya except I'm not sure if it's possible to do motion capture with Maya (still Monty said fighting scenes were done without MoCap). All I've seen so far is stiff and lazy animation. Don't get me wrong it looks a lot better than the previous volumes but in terms of fluidity Volume 4 is noticeably lacking.
RT really needs to up there fighting scene game because, after all, that was what got most of the people here into watching this series (yes I am talking about the trailers xD).
I think the fights are far superior to Volume 3 so far. Volume 3 was a massive setback in fight choreography.... They did get much better in later episodes though. And this is a new animation program, so mastering it will take some time. I expect a marked increase in choreography and quality as the episodes progress. Keep in mind this is only episode 3 lol

I find it so funny when Yang is in the center of the screen and you're all like "Zwei I love you!" like you are trying to look away from her arm and forget about it. Yang's look and behaviour here as well as Barb's incredible performance blew me away, so much so actually that I didn't notice that Zwei was there before watching your video. didn't mean to imply he was dead, just if they were looking for the cane it wouldn't be there
I also think is the cane. I remember in volume 2 when ozpin is speaking with Blake you can see there is a zoom focusing on the cane and with Qrow looking at it at the end of volume three they are hinting its importance.
Personally I think that the dropping of the bow is a bad thing in this scene. WHEN someone does a meaningful act affects its meaning. Blake abandoned her bow because she knows discrimination won't affect her in Menagerie. However the bow also represents her time with her friends and teammate, as well as her vow to keep it till she beats the White Fang. She's given up on that mission and those memories. Yang isn't the only one who gave up.
X-Dragon Hunter See I don't agree, the fact that she got rid of the bow on her way home, feels like she's hiding behind her family. It would mean (as you said) that she is not hiding or running away when she takes it off, but not when she's doing that exact thing.

Just by angsting on the boat? Probably not. From what we've seen previously, it takes more than that to attract them.
I'm not sure it's 'just angst'. But I'd like to point out that angst doesn't mean exaggerated anxiety. It's an intense feeling of dread.
But I suspect when Blake is 'paranoid', she's getting emotional flashbacks of being stabbed and a friend mutilated. Those are legitimately very negative feelings. Blake probably feared for her and Yangs life then... the sort of thing that would bring Grimm.
coolbanana165 Fair enough, I was mostly trying to be funny, but my point was questioning if one person with such feelings (that we know of on the boat, at least) was really enough to draw a Grimm. Last time it took an entire stadium full of people seeing Yang attack a "helpless" combatant for them to even notice, and then the second time when Penny died on television for them to finally get off their butts and get moving.
One girl on a boat just feels like small potatoes by comparison. Realistically, it could've just as easily been swimming nearby and simply saw the boat.

Family comes first, man do what you got to do know where all pulling for yea. I wanna say one thing about the portion when the glass breaks on the ground for Yang. That scene right their hit me personally. I know that moment of absolute panic that sudden hits when you remember something traumatic that happened to you. While your going through your day when a certain noise, smell or action just about whatever suddenly sets you off. Then that moment of guilt you feel for having acted that way, that was one of the best written and acted moments so far of this season for me.

Blake seems to be running to avoid the White Fang, but also to keep her friends safe (in her eyes) and to make sure her family is ok.
I think Salem was talking to Cinder about the Grim they used to take the Maiden's powers.
Also, I believe Cinder thinks she killed Ozpin, but Salem is aware that Ozpin wouldn't be killed that "easily."
