I have been so inspired by the beautiful chateau related channels I watch on TH-cam, like Chateau Diaries, Dreaming of a Chateau, Doing It Ourselves etc that I decided to give our guest room a dreamy and elegant makeover! Nearly everything I decorate with is a thrift store, garage sale, or auction find. My husband and I live in a Folk Cottage Style Victorian home and I love looking for unique antiques to compliment our historical home.

Ok, my first thought when I saw that that lovely bath tub filling up is, "I'll be right over!", lol. So lovely Selena. The marble, the fixtures, the window treatment, just everything. I also love the shade of green on the walls which provides an over all soothing environment. A total success.🤗

Your bathroom is absolutely stunning and I love the glass partition in shower, the little cherub tile is adorable and I love the recess in the shower for your toiletries. All the hardware is gorgeous and I love the lamp. I'm hoping to have my bathroom done this year only it is going to need a lot of work will basically be stripped right back to plaster and start from scratch, my bathroom is very small, yours is absolutely spacious. In the UK our bathroom lights must be closed in so I think a lantern like yours would not be permitted. Your bathroom is similar to my tastes,must be lovely in that gorgeous bath with bubbles and a saucer of champagne. So pretty and feminine.

What a beautiful bathroom Elegant and exquisite, the cherub baby tile is everything! I love your stories about the history of each special piece you have found. I often wonder about the history of each antique piece and who once used or owned each item. One of my favorite movies is The Wedding Dress where is shows the history of each person that once owned and wore the dress on their wedding day. Antiques have a history and people like yourself that take care of beautiful items and restore them, keep their stories alive . Thank you for sharing.

Very beautiful ! Question - is the bathtub cast iron and is it on the 2nd floor? I got one but Im wondering if it’s too heavy ,,I read that they have to reinforce the floor joists but it’s still scary haha

Wow. I lived in an apartment building which had been a hotel a long time ago and I had a clawfoot tub and hex tile in the bathroom. I miss that tub nice to take bath's in.

Demoing a room to create a clean slate for a contractor is not unique. Many contractors will come in at that point and reconstruct . Not sure what so unique about that.

Love watching your blogs. Cant decorate as much coz I live in an apartment. I just put my frustration into inspiration at my Moms house back home. I renovated it and did the interior designing and placing the powder room in a good spot after taking it away from its old spot to make the kitchen bigger.
