I was gifted a 1962 (older than me) aluminum 6 ft silver tree and the color wheel, NEVER USED, each in their original boxes. Stored in an air-controlled environment all these years. My Hubby brought it in, and I just cried the entire time I assembled it. He said "Why are you upset?" I said "I have wanted this exact tree and color wheel for YEARS and it's finally mine." Mint condition all pcs intact and all working parts.

I enjoyed seeing your vintage Christmas decorations. My home was built in 1935 as a small cottage on the river. An addition many years later turned it into a sizable family home, but it retains its cottage feel. The decor is decidedly eclectic, but is 100% my jam. I enjoy decorating it and paying homage to the 1930’s. The house has all the modern conveniences with a spectacular river view.

We do classic Christmas colors. I just got my first flocked tree this year and I LOVE it. I decorated very simply this year with just buffalo plaid ribbon, and big bow at the top, frosty white lights, bright red berries, red bells, and pinecones. Next year I think I'll do two trees, one with all our keepsake ornaments and then the simple tree.
I always wrap my gifts in brown craft paper and use beautiful ribbons and bows to make them fancy. The one year that I couldn't find brown paper, all the gifts were wrapped in the same buffalo plaid red paper. Monochromatic gifts make the tree look pretty.
If my kids give me grandkids when they're older (they are teens now) I will go back to the old system of one wrapping paper color per person so it's easy for the grandkid's to tell their gifts apart.

I, too, live in a Victorian home, built in 1896! My home is decorated using burgundy, royal blue, and Hunter green. This year I decided to use those colors for my Christmas decor, adding in touches of gold and silver! I had used the traditional green and red to decorate in the past, but it just didn’t feel right. Now the Christmas decorations fit right in with the house!
Omg I have never seen such a beautiful house and Victorian makes it even more beautiful. Selena you have great taste and it shows just the way you decorate your house etc. and that red dress was beautiful on you. I love seeing all the great item you and your mom buy and show at all the garage sales you go to. People give up some nice stuff for cheap. Your Christmas home tours are some of my favorite of your videos. I loved last year's so much, that I switched out my regular tree to a flocked tree (4 ft. for my bedroom) and did it all in the pink and gold with my old 1940s Shiny Brite ornaments (so faded, but from my parents) and the Woolworth nativity with chalkware animals and nativity figures from Woolworths in the 50s. But, I do remember that you mentioned even last year that you were already thinking ahead to blue for the tree for this year. I so wish I lived in a victorian home. I grew up in an apartment in NJ that was built in 1895 with all that character and spent summers on my Grandparents' farm where the house was from at least around 1835. How I wound up in a 2004 cookie cutter house in SC is beyond me.🤣 I was right there with you when you talked about dinner by candlelight and the fireplace. I'm so jealous lol. I thrifted a little pink tree for my coffee bar and use purple, green, gold and silver ornaments on it with pink wrapping paper for a runner. Our big tree is all of our special ornaments from elementary school crafts to goodwill finds hand-me-downs.

Our most elegant tree was a tree we put on a round Victorian tree in our library. We put a round mirror on the table with a skirt that was bunched up to look like snow. It had older understated balls with crystals from an old chandelier added with bows. A garland of draped gold beads and a Victorian looking tree top angel in the same color palette as the ornaments. This was the adult tree...a colorful one for children was in the den.

Dear Selena, thanks for sharing your beautiful holiday home Tour! It is beautiful and you have done an exceptional job decorating your home. I grew up in a home just like the one you are showing however the rooms such as the dining room and kitchen are much larger, the kitchen was extended with an indoor root cellar to store home aid old fashioned canned in hot water like the PA Dutch used to back then and the home had a double living room 1 was used as a music room and the other as a sitting room. It also had 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms on the 2nd floor and 2 bedrooms on the 3rd floor. The 1st floor has a gorgeous foyer with tall wooden double doors 1st with a brass plate in the floor board with the date of the house also the late 1800's. The foyer then has about a good 5 foot rectangular space to hang coats or place shoes and decorate but the next double doors leading into to home wear beautiful etched glass as well as the high top above the glass double doors. The outer wooden double doors above also high up had etched glass with the house #. When you entered the house you saw the most glorious dark wood staircase leading up to the 2nd floor and the window all had the most amazingly beautiful double top and bottom wooden shutters like yours but yours are white. The windows in every room which were very tall like each ceiling had gorgeous dark scroll wood work at the top and nice deep window frames inside to place plenty of plants or decorations. My mom would keep an artificial Christmas Tree up in the music room all year-long next to the piano and decorate it with decorations for each new corresponding holiday such as Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. And it always had white lights on it and when there wasn't a holiday it had vintage wooden musical instruments hanging all over it because it was in the music room filled with many different types of instruments. The angel lit up in white lights in cream and gold always kept her place at the top of the tree. Mom's house also had a very large basement the expanse of the house. It was high enough to walk around but not if you are really super tall without bending a bit. Later on as things changed in mechanics the house had added hot water, electric lights but gas heat and gas cooking. Also I forgot to mention each room had the most gorgeous fixtures made of brass and etched glass that could swing out from the wall that could be filled with oil and a thick wick to add a light to each room. Later a gorgeous chandelier was also added to each room that electricity powered. Above each gorgeous door that could lock with its original skeleton key to each own separate door was a transom in gorgeous etched glass that could be opened for air to the hallway or kept closed. The house was one of Beauty. Thanks again for sharing your lovely home. It brought back tears and fond memories to me as I have no surviving family left. God bless you and all you loved ones. I did something very different for me this year, with my Christmas decor colors. I couldn't access my usual traditional decor. So I decided to go more earthy with vintage and second hand items I already had but not the usual thoughts for holidays. I did dark browns and gold with touches of red. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I wasn't sure it would work. So nice surprise.

What a beautiful home. I love Victorian homes and decor. I love the tree with the blue ribbon. I really love all of it. You have such a lovely laugh too!! I once had an 1896 victorian bungalow. Not fancy but huge rooms and 4 fireplaces. Now in retirement a very small 1936 shotgun house with 2 nonworking fireplaces. I love decorating mantles. I have flow blue, Staffordshire dogs and trays in my living room and a teal velvet sofa. A sort of English Country look. I have a deep red french country hutch and chair. A pink 1920s Camelback wing chair. $75 at an online auction!!!! The oldest thing I own is an 1860 brass plant stand with rose marble inserts...$22 from that same auction. It was said to be his grandmother's piece. I will love and cherish it even though not in the family. Ok...writing a book. I bought six cobalt ornaments in Paris but sadly all but one broken now. They were so fragile. I was so sad but just kept my eyes out for a few years, Believe it or not I found a gorgeous pack of cobalt ornaments at 75% off after Christmas sale at Hobby Lobby and a pack of smaller deep teal ones. They had a couple of broken ones but I did not care at that price. I had wanted the cobalt for so long. So now my flocked tree has cobalt, teal and red with various collected ornaments. It has a teal floral topper with a cobalt butterfly and deep teal hummingbird at the sides. Enjoy your party. A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all! I have 5 trees. One is a tall traditional tree with many ornaments from the past years. Another is small with Angel lights shining on the ceiling with tucked in red flowers of different kinds and small ornaments. Another is tiny with gold balls and lights. The next is a vintage white with colored plastic lights. The last is not lit but a crafty type with diy Angel topper and favorite ornaments.
