Who thinks we should try centerpin fishing?!
I do
Me too
Definitely and I think Jordan being a fly fisherman would be the first to master it !! Maybe a challenge video first to bonk one with a centerpin ? My money is in Jordan !
Yah buddy!! Get er' done Jordan!!! Fly fishing is pretty close to fishing a centerpin reel, except for the drag, and casting. That takes practice, but Jordan can definitely do it.
I only fish with a centerpin for Steelhead and certain times of the King Salmon season. It's very effective and challenging all at once. I was a few weeks into Steelhead season when I purchased my centerpin reel and Okuma rod, it really took some getting used to, but now that I've got it down, I'll never go back to a spinning reel, EVER!!!
I will only use a spinning gear setup for lures, mostly for salmon.
Hell, I'll tie on small spinners and spoons to my centerpin setup just for the control and later on the FIGHT. It takes more skill and patience on the centerpin in my experience.
I'd really like to see you guys from the channel try it out, win, lose or draw.It would be great to hear from you guys on what you think of the setup and give some feedback.
Is that even a real question? Hell yeah!!
I'm ready to see the full video of the michigan trip
This is the video I’ve been waiting for
I’ve been waiting for the Michigan vids
The Guru himself, mr. Jordan Knigge!
Always enjoy your videos I have fished with Kyle a few times and love the pin reel. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. 👍
Awesome content!! Love Kyle’s pautzke videos !!
Bunch of fishy dudes in that boat! Fish with Kyle multiple times per year. Top notch experience every time.
Great to see Jordan and the addicted guys in Michigan! I live a half hour below the Mackinaw Bridge and been waiting to see if their tactics work in our watershed rivers like the Bear and the Ocqueoc and also the smaller streams like the Sturgeon and Pigeon that come out of Burt and Mullet lakes... Welcome to Michigan boys
That's an awesome buck! Jordan is the man 💪🏻😎👍🏻🎣🎣!!!!
Keep up the good work! I made a TON of spawn sacs and never knew how to use them!
Marlon and Jordan. Your pink worm jig will work in Michigan come spring. To early for sluggish chrome there
This will help me step up my game for steelhead fishing here in Washington.🎣🐟🎣
I've had the pleasure to fish with Kyle a couple times great dude and great fisherman! Centerpinning is the best way to catch these Great Lakes Stealhead in my opinion!!
As well as on the West Coast but it’s slowly making its way down to Wash St and Oregon.
Tonnes of guys up here in Ontario Canada fishing the pin
Sick video guys, keep them coming
Nice 👍 I have been center pining for the last few years is awesome presentation
Oh yeah, that's Mid West accent all right.
@@COINMADEME B?
You know?
Oh you betcha
Everyone has an accent... the west is surfer dude... lol
Hell yeah! Been waiting for you guys to fish the Great Lakes tributaries
Keep it up guys
Started using one this year okuma SST, and a sheffield and the difference in control i have over a spin rod, imo, is massive. i will probably only ever use a spinning rod for floating skein for salmon. I've enjoyed myself using one. Casting at first is tricky but if u take your time with it you'll pick it up quick.
Man, nothin like a brand new video, makes my day everytime!
#totallyADDICTED
Nice dude!!
Kyle and Maggie are awesome
Oh yeah this is great lakes style ;) tight line yall sweet vid
I'd recommend that people don't start off with the side cast for centerpinning since it produces really bad line twist. Better to make the effort early and learn the wallis cast imo. I'd love to see you guys do some centerpin fishing though!
I love the jet sled videos 👌🏻
Thank you, really good video. 👍😊
That great lakes dialect.....yoosta, go tuh(to), and Ki-nuh, yoopers, and Flatlanders
You betcha!
I just bought a center pin rig and tried it for the first time fishing the situk. Believe it or not but I inadvertently bought the same exact rod and reel as Kyle haha.
What's up, Addicts!
BOUT TIME YOU GUYS GOT SOME CENTERPIN ACTION! Its the only way I float fish.
It's all about the spawn sack great video
Wicked cool
So excited we got the first addicted Michigan video
Michigan footage. We're dying out here to see that full episode. Looks like a lake run fish in this video.. East coast steelies ---------
I'm still new to Center pinning but it's much easier to single hand cast. Lots of good videos on TH-cam on this technique
If you guy are in Michigan yall should come shoot a video out on the little manistee weir. On April 1st my whole family will be there also itd be cool to catch some chromeys with yall
I'm hitting the rivers in the west side in 2 weeks hoping I'm not to late, st joseph river is in full swing I guess them steelies are piling up
Give center pin an honest shot I was tottaly against it forever spinning reel for life.. I got hooked tho and it’s been a blast fishing pin
When it comes to float fishing.
Pin > bait caster > anything but a damn egg beater.
Currently learning how to float with a pin, but running into a ton of twisting with my split shots getting tangled up. Probably has something to do with my cast. How do I get the shots to fly straight on longer casts? Running slip float with bobber stop above and below on my main line, then directly underneath a barrel swivel to my shot line, and then another swivel to my leader. Thanks!
I started using slip floats for deeper runs but I’ll cast only a few times and the line eats into the plastic on the top and doesn’t want to slide up. Am I doing something wrong? I’m running 12 Lb mono main line and blood run floats
Cool video Jordan! Kyle's casting tips were great! What size hook was he using, I've seen videos where they using size 4 & 6 hooks!! Those seem kinda small for Steelhead!!
Lol, we use even smaller in Michigan sometimes. 4 is on the larger size for us
My friend uses size 8 scud hooks for bag fishing and has landed an 18 lb Steelhead with it in Michigan
That centerpin stuff is for the birds!
You guys gonna be back in the studio for the next live stream??
I found blue works when everyone running the pinks and yellows
When does coho season open in washington
What kind of gopro case are you guys using?
Pins are king
What material is the spawn sack made of ?
For some reson the midwest is crazy about ther spawn sacs ... no idea why
What type of egg is above the spawn sac?
What a trip - I’m embarrassed to say I’ve never even heard of center pin fishing! Enlightening to say the least - it almost seems like the missing link between fly and spincast fishing. Thanks so much for the knowledge!
Tri-leeeeen
👍
What about checking to Shallow up
Actually, I'm an adopted Yooper and have been called "an apple knocker from Ohio" when I first arrived in the U.P. 44 years ago.
That's it from the midwest?
First
Centerpin advise.. go to wallmart and get a 9.6 catfish rod and a big ozark trail reel $20 bucks...problems...
Was this video filmed in Michigan?
No, a set in West Hollywood.
1st
Bra you were in the mitten
Duh, of course you should try it
It's a slip float not a slide bobber.. Holy shit man.
Those down state trolls don't have any accent compared to us Yoopers.
Hahaha steelhead in Michigan!🤣🤣 ya right!
These yanks act like they invented steelheading
Don’t listen to these guys, the easiest center pin cast is a BC cast
How much weed does slide bobber guy smoke? Every bit he can find I bet
