If another player is being petty and plowing u at the start of the game to prove a point despite having better options, saccing ur entire game to plow him all over the map sounds like a lot of fun. Red didnt use enough gamer words, couldve been a better villain. Overall not much was learned this game
A great example of why Dandy always says be careful about making enemies. Once a player decided to target you for the whole game, you can be in for a world of hurt!

As much as red went way too crazy in the chat, id be tilted as fuck with the way orange and black gave you every trade you ever needed with 10+ cards in hand, and the block on the 5 was ridiculous 😂
If I was red I'd probably put my second settle on the 6 brick/12 ore and build towards the 9 wheat/10 sheep. Then you get all 5 resources on good numbers and own the entire left side of the board.

Implement a Reputation system linked to player reports. Require players to log in for ranked. Ban low Rep from Ranked. Block multi-account devices/IPs from Ranked.

Good question! It’s about efficiency AND speed. The problem is we don’t produce a lot of wood and we have no brick, so each road matters in terms of speed. We would have to manufacture an additional road to get to the sheep port. Think about this - If I don’t have the wood in my hand, then I would need to port 6 cards to make that additional road. Better to have those 6 cards go towards building the final city. It’s actually a bit faster to just road settle on the other 3:1 for the settle spot/point than worry about the added efficiency of the sheep port. Once we get the 4 settle spot, we city for the win. You don’t have to get too caught up in 2:1 ports when you had so much production and a 3:1 working for you.
Very one-sided this one, you had that in the bag from the start. Sadly the toxicity you experienced is something i have seen often on Colonist and i kinda hate it. I wish there was a button to close down the chat when the conversations devolve like that, so i don't myself get tempted to "partake" in the stupid. Also, if i had been playing your position, when you see no one was going to contest your 3:1 expansion and Orange wasnt going for the sheep port, i think i would have made that my priority to get on the sheep port instead of going for the 3:1.
It’s funny multiple people have said this… I played a knight so I couldn’t use the YOP during the same turn. It’s very rare I miss winning plays like that - Don’t expect it to happen around here ;)

If the 8 rolled 10 times in a row the odds of it rolling again are exactly the same as if it hadnt rolled in 100 rolls ... the dice have no memory. Same as flipping a coin .. get 100 heads in a row, the chance of getting a tail on the next flip is still 50:50
It's not about the probability, it's about the ore they already have in their hand. Blocking wheat hurts more because the ore in the hand is dead weight without wheat.
@davepotts13 I don't think it's about probability, but rather what resource is in demand. If they just rolled the ore they don't need it anymore it's already in their hand, the wheat however is what they want to pair with that ore.

If someone has lets say 2 cities on a spot and its just rollled, you dont want them to get yet another 4 resources if thats a key roll for them. Great debate though guys

I love Catan, and Colonist is such a solid platform, but I’ve been playing a lot less because of how toxic chat usually is.

I generally try to block based on what has already rolled… if the ore rolls, blocking the wheat is ideal… and vice versa.
