Thanks, Jose, have been following you off an on for the last year, but first I heard of Qimage today. Started a trial. Have an Epson R2000 which I have not been using as much as I should. This will I hope keep my R2000 in tip top shape.
Very good Jose. I wonder if Q image will have presets for the most popular printers so you don't have to manually select the colours yourself. That would make it easier and eliminate user error 😉
What about using the Violet ink on a P900? I know Qimage does print the violet color somehow on the purge sheet, but is it really exercising the actual violet cartridge in doing this, or is the violet color a result of some ink combination since there is not a Violet Ink check box?
Hello Jose! I love videos and I have learned a lot with them, I will always be grateful for the knowledge you share in your videos. Ask: What paper do you recommend to obtain a result like the one that gives us a traditional black and white dark room paper such as foma, kodak, slavic, Ilford or similar. I recently bought the Epson P600 printer (after watching your videos a lot), and preferably a thickness or gauge such as 308 grams or similar, thank you very much
Usually your Baryta style papers would be the best. But be aware it is impossible to match that look! You would need to start with scanned images form actual negatives as REAL film grain can not be reproduced by any plugin or filter. .
I use Canon pigment printers (PRO-9500 and PRO-10) since long and never experienced any clogs after 4 weeks inactivity. Also experienced with automatic nozzle checks every 2 days, this consumes more ink instead of less. Recently downloaded the trial version of Qimage to hack the Fine Art 30mm border and this alone justifies the price IMO.
If your running Windows you can wake up your computer at a predetermined time so Qimage can run a purge cycle and then go back to sleep. Type in task scheduler in the search. If you need help setting it up, check out TH-cam tutorials.
Chroma optimizer channel will be exercised too as long as you use a paper (like glossy) that utilizes it. It is best to leave CO on "auto" and not "full" to get the full benefit of the purge cycle.
Here we go again the dreaded B200 error code. I normally unplug the Canon Pixma Pro-100 for a day or two and I'm up and running again, but now it won't reset and the carriage is stuck to the right of the printer in the parked position. I want to get my inks out and the printhead. I tried calling Canon Tech. Support but I get a recording that they no longer provide live tech support for the Canon Pixma Pro-100 printer; WTF!!! Anybody know how to manually dislodge the carriage so I can remove my inks and printhead on the Canon Pixma Pro-100? Thanks in advance.
If lifting the cover does nothing. Then turn it off and back on and watch for the print head carriage to hopefully unlock. As as it does, pull the plug. You should be able to move the carriage and unclasp the clamps.
@@cheo1949 Too late; LOL. I was getting the B200 error code and decided to buy another brand new Pro-100 on Ebay minus the printhead and inks and am waiting for a new printhead coming from China; (fingers crossed). I broke open my old printer and retrieved my inks and printhead. Just for laughs I put the old printhead into the new printer I purchased on Ebay and got the same B200 error code and hopefully with the new printhead from China will solve the problem and I'll be up and running again. I Definitely will keep in mind what you suggested when this ever happens again and as we all know; anything man made will eventually break or fail. Thanks for all the knowledge on printers Jose; we all would be lost without you. If we don't help each other; were just wasting time. Mahalo

Why not just pause the queue and then schedule the job within windows?

That might be something he can add at a later date.
A good lesson on Qimage. thank you.
You are welcome!

Print more to put more ink on paper rather than on cleaning cycles and yes the hack is indeed a great addition to QI!
Does the unclog schedule prints when the computer is in sleep mode?
no

Does this work for Large format printers on roll... like Epson 7990. also is this available on MacOS
Basically ANY photo printer.
