you can't really rely on the length of the legs.. most caps have a white marking on 1 side.. that will be the Ground (or negative) in the case of this cap, it's the side with the Red marking
Hi there Oleg ;) YES you are right.. it doesn't seem to be there :D I guess they ran out of room.. Don't see it at the bottom eighter... Soooo that Uart-3 will have to be a Transmit only I'm afraid :$
If I understand well "basic" is the non-DJI and non-wifi version today. Not at all basic for me, though. The small metal plate is an EMI-shield, that stands for electromagnetic interference. It should shield the switching noise from other components.
that must indeed be it :) I will add that Wifi can be handy but ohwww well ;) not sure how important that shield would be on a digital build but it won't Hurt I guess :)
I have gone a bit crazy about motors. Have purchased an Xnova 2207 1950 kv Lite Racing to feel it and check out its machining qualities. Top notch, really. I have purchased an RCinpower Wasp Major in gold colour, since it is my intended 5" motor for the next build. However just to feel and check out I have also a Smoox 2306 on the way and a GTS V2 2207. If I am correct the 2306 is actually 6.5 mm tall and the 2207 is 7.5 mm tall. This also poses some risk. I might buy a full set of those motors and then swap them around to test them all. Or even build a second quad for more testing. Very dangerous.... :-)
@@DutchRC I have prepared a rather detailed calculation on different motors. Have harmonized thrust and current draw values based on prop pitch and diameter (coming from official data). Based on those calculations the Wasp Major has the most power per volume (and weight basically). This does not take into account any "feel" of the motor or power curve characteristics, though. Only numbers of peak performance. I will try to make a more digestible presentation of my work and maybe compile a video even, since it might help people to choose motors.
Nice little stack :$ However no blackbox in 2022 is pretty bad, but i guess it might be hard to design those F7 spaceship FCs with them on board... Have a great week ahead doctor DutchRC
@@blackmennewstyle a bit more would have been nice yes :P but honnestly.. when tuning you usually do very short flight.. 30 seconds is more then enough to judge a tune.. BUT yep... a bit more would have been nice :)
@@DutchRC I guess everyone has his/her own way of tuning. For my personal experience, Blackbox will allow you to see problems you can't notice with just flying or even with the sound of propellers/motors, etc. You can trace so much things from RC controls noise to nasty vibrations on your quad. It is very worthy to be used.
You could make a 2 XT60 to 1 XT90 pigtail and use 2 "normal" 5" packs. Then you can go full bananas on the current with 12 gauge wire and XT90. Hmmm? Hmmmm? :-)
@@DutchRC we were at a park and my son is in a wheel chair and while I was folding it up and loading it my bag was sitting on a picnic table about 20 yards from me some douchebag on a mountain bike probably with the substance problem if I had to guess knowing the area grab my bag and took off and I couldn't really chase him and leave my son there alone it was definitely a sad day and has taken some time to recuperate from financially. anything can be screwed up by mishandling it, and I'm not a sales person for any brand but the Diatone stacks have worked well in my builds (I've used them in about 50 or so builds)

Can you recommend a way to remove the EMI shield for conformal coating the esc.?
@Golden WadatMedia nope.. according to Diatone they are glued in place
@@DutchRC thank you.
Nice review Dutch. Looking forward to the build video. 😎
Thanks brother :) 2 build video's are ready and coming up :)
MuteFPV from Greece has some pretty useful tutorials and very detailed camera and motor tests.
His videos are great.
the DutchRC channel is much much better :P ghehehe

the basic-not-so-basic stack LOL :D does look good! I did build a few quids from your previous guides with mamba stacks. still work!
thanks man and good to read! usefull to get that kind of feedback

Hi, Just bought a F55 128k esc. What are big difference between f55 vs f55 pro esc?
Good question! For as far as I can tell the pro version is most likely just a newer version.. The specs seem the same
Awesome setup, dude! Great component selection! 😃
Looking forward to the build and maiden!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
