His last line-"when it comes to Pure Riding Experience THE HONDA is arguably the most exciting motorcycle that I have ridden especially in this price segment" made me feel the real essence of a HONDA bike. Japanese Engineering at its very best🔥 Once a Honda will always be a Honda❤
I own this bike. Mine is the CKD model. The bike is seriously underrated. The CKD version in my opinion wasn't overpriced. But when they brought up the BS6 model which is locally made was too overpriced. My experience with it is wonderful. Test rode it 2 months ago. What an incredible machine. Pocket rocket perfectly suited for the city and those occasional Sunday rides. The refinement of the engine and gearbox is oh so good 🤌. Awesome review sarge👍.
Lovely review there! I'd pick the Honda over the KTM any day. Quickshifter I don't care about- tyres I can always upgrade and spongy brakes have always been the hallmark of Honda motorcycles- but you get used to it. But what you get is a smooth motor and the gearbox that'll work the same even after 100k kms and it'll be stable as a rock unlike other motorcycles that start wobbling with age. I remember being confused between a KTM 200 and the CBR250R when they both came out- I went ahead and bought the CBR. It clocked over 250,000 kms and to shamelessly admit- I neglected maintenance big time, but it just went on and on.
This bike is so underrated in India for it's initial high price tag. But right now, it's one of the best and VFM in the segment. Loved this review, Sarge. ❤

Sarge Sarge yet again amazing review, shots and editing, hats off waiting for your Aprilia RS 457 and Yamaha R3 [ I still remember 8 years ago when you reviewed it and still waiting ]
The torque to weight ratio is probably the best in this class I think. Such an underrated bike and it took Honda ages to get the price right. Cheers Shubham for lending your bike for this review!
Honda could have grabbed the market back in the time if they reduced the price for locally made 300r ,but they didn’t. Now when there’s a lot of competition “speed400” is here, they surely lost the opportunity. I made up my mind a year back to buy 300r ,but the price was too steep😅, so I waited long and bought speed 400 instead
The brakes secret is simple, change the pads and you get a power brake you need. Now going at 60kms I can stop just whit the rear brake in half of meters, than before with the 2 brakes at same time. I just replace the OEM pads for EBC sintered pads.
Did you test ride the Speed? I test rode both of them and went with Speed 400. Of course at that time it was a pretty easy choice as Honda was costlier than it is now.
totally agree with you sir about cb. the most exciting bike of its segment. l owned cb250r and always enjoy its power made me feel like road warrior ready. dual channels abs saved me from accident.
Beautiful video as always. Btw, It is priced similar to Triumph Speed 400 too which i believe is a bit more value for money or more like "performance for money".
This bike is selling again ❤. I saw one last night. I wish Honda had priced it right after assembling it in India during BS6 era . Hence this was a dead product for all these years despite being a capable product . I am glad Honda is coming back to its senses😅and pricing their products aggressively in 2023. That was a great review, sarge . You did full justice to the hooligan that CB300R is ❤💥 I would love to see review of Honda CB300F which is Honda's 250cc rival despite being a 300cc bike . Its a 300cc FZ25 😂fighting 250cc bikes , power commuter as we call it. And its priced at 1.70lakhs undercutting bikes like MT-15, Karizma 210 , RE,Jawa Yezdi , other 250cc bikes . I would love to see a review of CB300F also from you sarge ❤
I bought one earlier in the year but barely used it and ultimately sold it after mere months. I really want a middle weight supermoto but no-one makes them for the road in Europe atm. The mad scientist in me imagined getting am Aprilia SX 125 and putting this engine into it. This engine was smooth and a little punchy low in the revs but didn't keep going into higher revs. Even so, I wish Honda would make a 400cc road legal supermoto. Atm the only options are 125 and then a jump up to 700. This little 300 was nice and easy and very smooth. Honda could apply the same engineering to a slightly larder single, release a supermoto, and they'd sell out instantly because there's no competition.
120-125 Kms/hr is still better than the Triumph Speed 400’s vibe riddled 105 Kms/hr. Again an excellent review Sagar, your channel is an example of true un-biased form of Auto Journalism. Keep up the great work sir 🙌🏻
@@hyakinthos_0902 Absolutely. The Speed 400 is a motorcycle that holds your hand and says to you, ‘I am with you in this, push the limits’ and the moment you do push the limits, the motorcycle gets scared of its own character. If the Duke 390 is a scary fast motorcycle the Speed 400 feels like a scared motorcycle due to the buzz which that engine produces. Triumph is one of my favourite brands, but I was thoroughly disappointed with the Speed 400 when I took an extensive test ride of the machine. I would rather have preferred a twin cylinder Bonneville Speed 300 than what they are offering with the Single Cylinder Speed 400.
Was waiting for this specific review since 2019, how things turn out The bike being reviewed is the one i own .. what a pleasure to be a part of this story. ❤️🙌
Please compare cb300r with Speed 400 and share your feedback because i feel they both have something in common(maybe the hooligan nature) but something different too. I am finding it little tricky to find the difference between their power delivery and would love to know from you which one of these two stays strong in top end and mid range comparatively.
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial Thank you. I have one final question. After owning any one of these 2 bikes for about 2-3years, which one will still feel nice to ride?
Hello Sagar Sir first of all I'm a big fan of your reviews. Sir pls help me to choose from this three bikes ( CB300R, RTR310 And Speed 400) I've had test rode them and I loved those bike equally, now I Can't come to an end to choose. I mostly ride on city, pls suggest me which will be suitable for this current time and also for the service cost and part availability and which will be value for the money. Thank you❤
I got a chance to ride both the Duke 250 and the CB300R, now I am addicted to the 300R's pull and punch, man what a bike, but Duke is no slouch it has its own perks but my money is on 300R.
Sarge, how about a maha comparison video for 300cc+ bikes priced less than 3lakh onroad: "KTM Duke 250 Gen3 / Triumph Speed 400 / Harley X440 - Base & Mid variants / Hero Maverick 440 - All variants / Honda CB300R / TVS Apache RTR 310 - Base & Mid variants" Pls feel free to add any other bikes/variant if I've missed it
Given the current bike options available in the market, Guerrilla, Duke, bmw, Triumph,.. does buying the cb300r make sense? Is it a good buy even now? If city handling and fun to ride is priority
Sir I have this machine, done about 9700km in one year's time. Most of my rides are confined to the city limits. Occasionally on the highway. What tyres would you recommend for change ? Please do suggest.
Can this be a starting bike for someone who has never ridden a gear bike in his life? Is this also suitable for Small riders? And what would be your first upgrade (improvement) on this bike?
I am 6'2" it's perfect for me!! For city rides it's one of the best motorcycles. Negative side Headlight, pillion & pillion seat..for riding alone it's the best.
I'm stuck choosing between the Triumph 400X and CB300R. The CB300R feels light, but the Triumph has features like ride by wire and traction control. I've been riding my 11-year-old FZ16, and it's time to give it a rest and upgrade to a 300-400cc bike. I'd prefer one with a refined engine, minimal vibrations, and the ability to cruise around 100km without a break. Pillion support isn't a concern. Any thoughts on which bike fits
@sagarsheldekarofficial - Based on the pure city commuting do you recommend CB300R or Speed400? I cannot ride heavy bikes in bumper to bumper traffic also the post sale customer service and maintenance is my top priority … pls recommend among Honda CB300R, Speed400 and Duke250, Gixxer250 naked???
Will it be a Wise Decision To Sell Gixxer SF250 and Buy this? I used it 3yrs 15K kms will it be a Good upgrade or Better to wait and Buy D390 after a year
Thank you, Sarge, for creating this video. I was one of the first owners of the CKD model when it launched in 2019, and I have been eagerly waiting for your review ever since. Although I had to sell my bike, I made sure it went to the right hands. I still miss the bike very much!
Such a fantastic visual write up Sir, you gotta to be the best reviewer of probably any motorcycle out there.................loved it !, I think you own youtube haha............and yes I am getting a CB300R hopefully this coming friday
Sarge riding a smaller capacity bike is worth lot fun to watch than some 600+cc bike. If I was a college student and looking for my first motorcycle after some scooter, Honda CB300R would have been my top contender, given the Japanese Honda engine, it will definitely last till I get old.
I have Interceptor 650 but to health concerns I will have to switch to a lighter motorcycle. I loved cb300r in city traffic. I have ridden KTM duke 250 and waiting for KTM duke 390 test ride. Which one would you suggest cb300r/duke250/duke390?
Confused between Speed400, Duke250 and Honda CB300r for city purpose. Test rode all the three bikes but very confused between 3 of them. Main purpose is daily commute. Please recommend which bike tu buy.
Honda India (I own a CB350, love it, toured extensively) have three separate machines in the 300cc-350cc range with three different engines. Why wouldn't they just create a CRF300 Rally out of one of these and sell in India?
My gixxer 250 came with same set of tires and had no idea how bad those were until I changed it to mrf steel brace tires. Damn braking ,ride quality is so much better. Worth the upgrade. I recommend MRF steel brace tires. And manufacturers at least give options to buyers with good set of tires to enjoy the ride right from the start.
Hey sarge i feel like speed 400 is the most vfm machine in this price range. Can you please share which machine is more vfm in your humble opinion. Cheers
Hi, I am a CB300R rider from South Korea. Thank you for this video. I have one question. You mentioned that there is a buzz around 7k rpm and yes it is exatly what I have felt while riding however the vibration does not disappear over 7k rpm. it is still there over 7k rpm. Is this a normal vibration for the CB300R?
It's the engine. It's totally normal for a single cylinder high revving high performance engine to vibrate beyond a point. For a sanity check just take a test drive of some other single cylinder motorbike and revv that out.
Honda, with all due respect, grant this man the motorcycles he requests. If nothing else, you're missing out on reaching out to people who look for his reviews before purchasing a two wheeler.

The torque to weight ratio is probably the best in this class I think.
Such an underrated bike and it took Honda ages to get the price right.

If only Honda becomes a bit more aggressive and launches CB300x with this engine. it probably will be the best combo ever
This bike’s edge is the weight, engine not so much
Honda could have grabbed the market back in the time if they reduced the price for locally made 300r ,but they didn’t.
Now when there’s a lot of competition “speed400” is here, they surely lost the opportunity.
I made up my mind a year back to buy 300r ,but the price was too steep😅, so I waited long and bought speed 400 instead
Speed offers more value
The brakes secret is simple, change the pads and you get a power brake you need. Now going at 60kms I can stop just whit the rear brake in half of meters, than before with the 2 brakes at same time. I just replace the OEM pads for EBC sintered pads.
Good on ya
Drove the Cb300r and I can't shake the feeling, heart says to go for the 300r but brain wants to go for the speed 400. What's you opinion on this?
Did you test ride the Speed?
I test rode both of them and went with Speed 400. Of course at that time it was a pretty easy choice as Honda was costlier than it is now.
Depends upon how much you are gonna ride, if it is, anything below 10k km in a year go with speed 400 otherwise pick cb 300.
The Speed 400 offer better value and performance at this price
Did you pick it now? Bec I'm in the same shoes 😅
totally agree with you sir about cb. the most exciting bike of its segment. l owned cb250r and always enjoy its power made me feel like road warrior ready. dual channels abs saved me from accident.

Beautiful video as always. Btw, It is priced similar to Triumph Speed 400 too which i believe is a bit more value for money or more like "performance for money".
No beating the Triumph at this price point
This bike is selling again ❤. I saw one last night. I wish Honda had priced it right after assembling it in India during BS6 era . Hence this was a dead product for all these years despite being a capable product . I am glad Honda is coming back to its senses😅and pricing their products aggressively in 2023. That was a great review, sarge . You did full justice to the hooligan that CB300R is ❤💥
I would love to see review of Honda CB300F which is Honda's 250cc rival despite being a 300cc bike .

Hi Sarge, Which bike to more fun to ride in between CB300R , Speed 400 and Duke 250 ?
The speed
Waiting for the visual treat ⚡⚡
Almost time
I bought one earlier in the year but barely used it and ultimately sold it after mere months.
That would be cool
120-125 Kms/hr is still better than the Triumph Speed 400’s vibe riddled 105 Kms/hr.
Again an excellent review Sagar, your channel is an example of true un-biased form of Auto Journalism. Keep up the great work sir 🙌🏻

And what about those knocking filled 30s , 40s, 50s and 60s on Honda where you'll find yourself more often than not?! 😅
speed 400 has great oomph but man those buzz not vibes is a deal breaker for me they gotta iron that out in a refresh or somthing
@@chinmaychiplunkar you just perfectly explained my thoughts i missed to mention above comment.

considering they both have similar price tag and 100cc more

Please compare cb300r with Speed 400 and share your feedback because i feel they both have something in common(maybe the hooligan nature) but something different too. I am finding it little tricky to find the difference between their power delivery and would love to know from you which one of these two stays strong in top end and mid range comparatively.

Thank you❤
The speed wins that battle
@Sagar Rapid fire
1. Touring : cb300F or Duke 250
2. Long lasting reliability: cb300f or Duke 250
The duke is the two comfortable of the two and has a bigger tank. If you ride them both with care you will be ok with both on the reliability front
@@SagarSheldekarOfficial Thanks 👍🏻
I got a chance to ride both the Duke 250 and the CB300R, now I am addicted to the 300R's pull and punch, man what a bike, but Duke is no slouch it has its own perks but my money is on 300R.
Fair enough
Sarge, how about a maha comparison video for 300cc+ bikes priced less than 3lakh onroad:
"KTM Duke 250 Gen3 / Triumph Speed 400 / Harley X440 - Base & Mid variants / Hero Maverick 440 - All variants / Honda CB300R / TVS Apache RTR 310 - Base & Mid variants"
Pls feel free to add any other bikes/variant if I've missed it
Speed wins that comparo
Given the current bike options available in the market, Guerrilla, Duke, bmw, Triumph,.. does buying the cb300r make sense? Is it a good buy even now? If city handling and fun to ride is priority
It's fun in its own right. No beating the Duke 390 when you compare
Sir
I have this machine, done about 9700km in one year's time. Most of my rides are confined to the city limits.
Occasionally on the highway.
What tyres would you recommend for change ?
Please do suggest.
Look up MRF Steel brace w rated tyres

CB300R or KTM250 or APACHE RTR310 or BMW G310R??which one would you suggest?
KTM offers most value
Thanks.Performance of 300r OK?
I'm stuck choosing between the Triumph 400X and CB300R. The CB300R feels light, but the Triumph has features like ride by wire and traction control. I've been riding my 11-year-old FZ16, and it's time to give it a rest and upgrade to a 300-400cc bike. I'd prefer one with a refined engine, minimal vibrations, and the ability to cruise around 100km without a break. Pillion support isn't a concern. Any thoughts on which bike fits
I think the speed 400 is the best of the lot
How does it stack up against the Triumph Speed 400?
The Triumph wins that battle as it makes a lot more power and is cheaper
Which one would be better Husqvarna vitpilen 250 or cb 300r like both are good which one should i go for
The Honda

Between RTR 310 and this CB 300r which is a better option for city + highway + performance combined ?
Yet to test the rtr in india as i am still waiting for TVS to lend me one
Sarge riding a smaller capacity bike is worth lot fun to watch than some 600+cc bike. If I was a college student and looking for my first motorcycle after some scooter, Honda CB300R would have been my top contender, given the Japanese Honda engine, it will definitely last till I get old.

Confused between Speed400, Duke250 and Honda CB300r for city purpose.
Test rode all the three bikes but very confused between 3 of them.
Main purpose is daily commute.
Please recommend which bike tu buy.
Speed
Honda India (I own a CB350, love it, toured extensively) have three separate machines in the 300cc-350cc range with three different engines.
Why wouldn't they just create a CRF300 Rally out of one of these and sell in India?
🤷
yah! 🙄
Amazing 😍🤩. Please somebody give the cb 650r . 🎉
Anxiously waiting
My gixxer 250 came with same set of tires and had no idea how bad those were until I changed it to mrf steel brace tires. Damn braking ,ride quality is so much better. Worth the upgrade. I recommend MRF steel brace tires. And manufacturers at least give options to buyers with good set of tires to enjoy the ride right from the start.
They are a good upgrade

Hi, I am a CB300R rider from South Korea. Thank you for this video. I have one question. You mentioned that there is a buzz around 7k rpm and yes it is exatly what I have felt while riding however the vibration does not disappear over 7k rpm. it is still there over 7k rpm. Is this a normal vibration for the CB300R?
I just finished 'break-in', I have been using the bike under 5.5k rpm, and I started open throttle more and I found it. it bothered me...
For reference, the vibration I felt seemed to be coming from the front of the bike (radiator?).
It's the engine. It's totally normal for a single cylinder high revving high performance engine to vibrate beyond a point. For a sanity check just take a test drive of some other single cylinder motorbike and revv that out.
he is not just riding but rather enjoying the machine
