So its so different than Chinese harem rules
After the emperor passed away the Empress n other concubines who have children will stay in the palace while other concubines with no children will have to be nuns or killed to be buried with the emperor
Qing dynasty rule is better in my opinion where those rules were no longer thru out even though it was abolished in the late ming dynasty
