Woodturning - Not what you think it is!!

  • In this woodturning video, I will turn a laburnum log into an extreme looking hollow form. This log has been air drying for years and previously was infested with different bugs but now it was time to be turned into a project. Wood turning with a lathe can be dangerous if the piece is not carefully and securely mounted on the lathe. Happy watching 😊

    I love this and I really love the way you kept the cracks that were in it rather than filling them I think the right crack an actually make the piece 👍👍👍

    Very nice I dont know what it is if its not what I think it is? I'm worried about the crack in it but I feel you've 100% got more experience than me so would know if it will grow or not. I love this piece whatever it is for.

      Wanted keep as natural as possible therfore did not fill the crakcs. The wood is dry enoihg now do not think it will get any worse from now on

      @@DavidsWoodturning ahh fair enough I have done a little work with wood I made a bunk bed and a book case a couple chairs but I know if you have wood thats still a little moist it can continue to split good that its dry it looks incredible

    Need to epoxy that crack, or it will be an issue later.
