The greatest drumming performance in New Wave music history! And my favorite Blondie song - I'm 16 again when I hear this!

She never strains her voice. She keeps it under control and hits all the notes- pretty darn amazing.

All I can say is that Clem Burke is the most under rated drummer in in rock music. He can play with the best of them.

Absoluely agree. It seems the hard rock / metal / jazz drummers that get credit, not so much the so-called "new wave" artists.

Along with Ann Wilson, Deborah Harry had one of the best female voices in rock. No auto tune, no back up singers, just standing there and effortlessly knocking it out of the park.

This song shows Clem's brilliance; Deborah had a quaint habit of singing out of the side of her mouth at times, def. not pitch perfect, but an outstanding standup entertainer

Debbie never had the range that Ann Wilson did in her younger days. Ann was in a choir and also studied opera in her youth. I don't believe Debbie had that experience or any voice training, but that being said I love Debbie's unpretentious singing and stage presence.

I remember watching the concert (edited ?) as a 12 year old on The Old Grey Whistle Test on New Years Eve 1979 at my uncle's house. My aunt, uncle & parents hated it and I think it was the first programme I had seen in colour (we only had a black & white set in those days. Debbie's performance only cemented my belief that she was the the ultimate goddess. Even 44 years on, Dreaming still sounds as good as it did the day it was pressed onto Eat To The Beat, and No 3 in my favourite Blondie tracks, only being beaten by Union City Blue with 11:59 being the so underrated No 1.

They had so many hits but were so concentrated that it seemed like such a short time that they were it. They put out like 10 years worth of songs in 3 years. Debbie deserves way more notoriety than she gets. They are still great now especially compared to what is coming out these days. It's all been done before.

You really need to see a band performing live to get a sense of how good they are. This performance is brilliant, and I say that as someone too young to have seen them back then. Debbie's voice is pitch perfect. And Clem Burke obviously stands out.

I was 16 years old and in total awe of them. No one has even come close since. I watched it all unfold live, in Europe, as i served from 1981 to 1984. My kids ask me about those times constantly.
