I remember 1973. I met Ernie Banks at Wrigley Field and he signed an autograph for me. He was the nicest guy you would ever wanted to meet .And he is my favorite Cubs player of all time.
I do not care what YOU think. If you ask any living HOFer, or MLB veteran with significant experience, THEY will tell you that Ernie Banks is one of the greatest to ever play the game of baseball. It is a shame his name is not remembered as much by the younger generation as some of his contemporaries.
