  • In a groundbreaking conversation with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Elon Musk shares his insights on the future of artificial intelligence and its impact on the workforce. Musk predicts that AI will eventually become so advanced that no human jobs will be necessary. He also discusses the challenges that we will face as we adapt to this new reality, such as finding meaning in life without traditional work.
    Key Points:
AI is the most disruptive force in history.
AI will eventually make all human jobs obsolete.
We will need to find new ways to find meaning in life.
AI could lead to universal high income.
Don't miss this thought-provoking discussion with one of the world's most visionary thinkers!

the irony that its all self-inflicted. theres plenty of sun and grass outside for all to enjoy but still we are driving into this conflict.
and the irony of musk saying a.i. will take all jobs and there needs to be universal income. i wonder who has all the money to make that possible... and for sure he will be the first to say "no! i need it!"
really reminds me of the quote "everyone was so busy thinking how to make it happen. no one was thinking should they".
but musk is right about one thing. that if we stay on earth then eventually everyone will die. but the real question is there something in the space where we can escape that to? or is it like that browser game where a virus is killing everyone and you can choose whether to party your last days or spend that time trying to figure out a cure for it, but there is no cure.

The implications are the same either way, because of the nature of what AI is! We face the automation of EVERYTHING of value, to such a large degree, that the average person won't be able to compete "for a living". This is NOT a bad thing, but everyone needs to realize it IS happening NOW, not off in the future to our kid's kids, so that we can change how our society works, because changing that now, is the ONLY way we can adapt. People who think everyone is lazy and undeserving of help, need to change their way of seeing others. We cannot morally justify distributing resources to people, based on whether they can compete, when super intelligent AI will almost certainly out compete them. PLEASE, start demanding policymakers act!

When you are paid for work, you are a slave by definition. When you are replaced by a machine a global income plan will be established to avoid the revolution of the poor. They will get 20% of what their resources are worth but they will be happy because they will avoid work. They get 20% today and they have to work 7 or 8 hours. It is an improvement for the slaves. Still unfair, but they do not know any better,

      Healthcare
      Construction
      Transportation and supply chain
      Farming
      Service
      Product development
      Real estate
      Law/government
Then yes everyone will have a mansion built by the robots, designed by the robots, and sold/given by the robots.
The question comes down to how do we make these robots so advanced that they can do everything for us and instead of using human servants to do everything we have robots do them. This will allow human servants to be freed from their work/labor and live like the rich. Cause right now the rich already live like this except they just pay humans money instead of using robots.

@@dallasisbetter3241you missed it this is way down the timeline probably not in our lifetimes but at some point all of that will be done by ai. You don't need to pay for the material to build the mansion cause there is no one to pay the robots have chopped the wood and made the concrete for free. You don't need home Depot because the robots have made everything in home Depot from scratch. There is no property tax and some might argue oh how is that possible there is only so much land. At this point in the future we are talking about the possibility of a few things 1. We live in mega structures so land is irrelevant really. 2 some people live in underground structures again land is irrelevant or 3 we have found ways to live on other planets so land is irrelevant. yes, AI would replace every job... And I'm okay with that... I don't even like working... Who the hell does? The only reason why we even work in the first place is to use it as a means to an end. Now your time no longer belongs to someone else and you can do whatever you've wanted to do.

And yes, Humanity will be obsolete once AI and automation takes over. There are going to be two possibilities for this. Life will change and people will learn to live without the need for work. The other possibility is that humans are no longer needed as a beast of labor, and only useful for their organic material... So basically, we're now cattle that's grown and sent to bio-repurposing vats or slaughterhouses. Let's hope the latter never happens to humanity.

@@cosmo5880 I was actually talking about that with my siblings the other day. When our kids grow up, they're going to be entering an even worse job market than we have now. Automation and AI are going to displace millions of humans. That's inevitable. The one glaring problem that every nation is going to face is that even though humans are not working, they're still going to be there. So unless the people in power are able to address that issue, leaving displaced workers to fend for their own will have a rotting effect on society's infrastructure, and ultimately cause it to collapse completely. Once that happens, there would be no purpose for businesses to exist and we all end up losing hundreds of years of progress.
The Egyptian and Roman empires were all advanced for their time, but ended up falling for their hubris and disappearing from this Earth.
