- This week we spent time with Taylor’s side of the family. We went to Acadia and on a train ride. I had a short work week but still got some done. I got the gin poles in and showed how to hoist logs 2 different ways. I can wait to get started on the roof hopefully soon!

Like the way you put the logs in place.
Thank you!
Smarter not harder. Great use of all sorts of mechanical advantage. Nice Work, Justin!
What is your wall height goal? Second story?
Keep up the terrific work.
👊🏼👍🏼🤙🏼
Thanks Shane! I plan to be somewhere around 8’ for wall height. We will have a loft over the back half but other than that no true 2 story.
I love them scriptures! Man, I wish I could come up there and help like I said last week. Since I canr, let me help another way. I'm going to buy you some gloves, either leather or Sailing for that tiny string your pulling on. 2. I'm going to send you to a local Outrigging, not Outfitter, to buy you some rope, on sailboats there called sheets, but you can ask for rope ( I'm teasing you😊) then ask for some rigging tackle that has 2 pulleys on one piece, get 2, one for each side of your system. Ask someone in the shop/store to help. If you live near the coast you might find a WEST MARINE Store. Or go to a boat building place. They can tell you how to do it. It's half the load your pulling now. And will save your back. ✝️🙏❤🇺🇸 I really love what your doing. I found 2 properties this week. But 8m to old to start over. These have camps on them. I loved your family time I love rocks/boulders and water. Did y'all go to Gorham? And Mt Washington? It's so beautiful over and up there!❤❤❤❤
Thank you, you are very kind! With the family we went to Acadia. We didn’t have much time to spend with them so we didn’t get to go to many other places. I would like to go to Mt Washington and Gorham some time it would be a great time!
I wish I could come give you a hand it looks like you could one . Can't you rig up a lift using you log winch chain and cross your two poles then put a matchbox to lift your logs.
Sorry for the misspelled its my phone had a mind of its own .
I enjoy working by myself it may look like a struggle but it is not that bad. Yes that would work too! My winch on the tractor is a bit quick and not as forgiving as the winch on my side x side. Plus the remote makes it nice!
Your build is looking great!! So happy for you and your family. I'm building a log cabin in Maine using the Log Home Builders Association method. Search TH-cam for Stacking One Log, Start to Finish LHBA Method. We use block & tackle (Triple Blocks) to lift our logs in place and lifting poles in each corner...similar to what you are doing. Keep up the great work and share your faith!!!
Thank you! I will check it out! I do have one set of block and tackle I’ll probably use for ridge beam for sure! Thanks for sharing! Good luck with your build!
