I am guilty of spending too much time on basics exercises, standing , walking circle , and I don’t spend any time on martial skills thank you for this reminder
Basics are absolutely the core of the art and funny enough I have going back to the basics every time I did mistake. Today I am also going back to the basics, this time equipment is the real one.I remember one text said that if the Key to the Art is presented to the beginner he never gonna take it seriously, also Lao Tzu said that stupid philosopher will make fun of Tao and now I understand both spoke about the same key. Really appreciate old proverbs and if you have any knowledge about this art you always return to Lao Tzu teachings and check it out about the same meaning and if you have it clean and simple you are absolutely right about the truth. Tao is not that far away from you and keeping the principle of going back to the basics every time you make mistake is the right way. The real knowledge about the art is almost in your grasp, however if someone else gives me the real meaning back then I would think that is some joke or something to make me look stupid and I believe back then my anger would be glad to enter into the conversation hahaha in other words no body will believe it! So going in the wrong direction of this art is equal to get to the basics again and again,as some master said you stopped standing and start to practice advanced techniques today and you will stand tomorrow and 9 more days until you have the same energy and skills. The real meaning of the second proverb You mentioned is very important and fundamental to learn how to make your own body and the other moving correctly and also the principals are absolutely right! Some time double meaning is not that far away, some time isn't any double meaning at all and some time it is simply the same as the literal translation of the text. In my experience with those texts I have found that the authors were trying to give some tips if the meaning is more than one or it is hard to get to the knowledge alone. In my experience and knowledge the second proverb has more than one meaning and the connection between these elements is essential for your skills in any way.
Thank you Master Yang. I finally understand the true meaning of " 手腳齊到方為真". It has been a big question for me for a long time. Thank you again for your generosity in teaching these concepts online.
This was very interesting I have attempted to put feet and hands together I felt it was all about moving mass displacing matter furthermore I felt the fajing began a slight moment prior to arriving at the target But I will work on this idea further thank you
Your explanation on how sometimes words are omitted to keep the 2 lines in poetry equal was very helpful. Adding Li back in completed the loop. Thank you for your efforts and willingness to share your passion The only thing one really has to teach is how one lives their lives. You do it very well.
Hello, I'm recently found your channel and following your your videos now. It's very interesting and there is a lot to learn. In one video you said your grandpa was a student of zhang Zhao dong, I'm practicing xing yi bagua Zhang and would be very interested about a video of you doing some of the palm changes. I just found Videos where you perform cheng style bagua. Would it be possible for you to make a video of the xing yi bagua Zhang Tao lu? Thank you for you work and efforts. Best regards
Hello, good idea. I will make a video in the future. But right now, I am focusing on this series which focuses on thermotical aspect of the internal style practice. Thanks,
@@HaiYangChannel thank you very much for your answer. There is not a lot material available about xing yi bagua Zhang in the web. Most difficult is too find material about the martial applications. In one of your videos you talking about the hidden jin and the obvious jin. In our lineage we practice the Form mostly very soft with the jin inside, I think it's what you mean the hidden jin. I will wait for a xing yi bagua video of yours, I'm very interested about your interpretation of the Form. There is just one video that introduces and teaches xing yi bagua Zhang, I think you might know it. But unfortunately there are also no application demonstrated, so I'm very interested to see new material that's related directly to the Zhang Zhao dong lineage. Thank you Best regards
Interesting exercise. The proverb-series is quite interesting. The proberbs are thought of as training helps - we would call them 'Lehrsprüche' (teaching phrases) in German. One if one of my swird teachers: 'No fingers, no cookies.' it has to do with the fact, that hitting the hands ends sword fights far quicker than almost any other hit on the body.
Thank you. I feel like the basic drill is a good idea for developing the ability to apply Heng Quan force in a dynamic environment with self defense time constraints, it gives me insight into the idea of short range power expression being as important as long range fajjn, I will work on this.
The demo was fantastic. What a great exercise! I would love to see some more of those. Do you have any exercises to help with waist turning/dantian rotation for generating power?
you know something about to survive after a "real beattle"?.... every humans can do very dreadfull things & it kills the mind... how to deal with it when you want going back to "Normal" ? Sorry ,for this "hard" question...but perhaps you know something about it..
I thought about medieval war -or as german i know storys from old people (2 World War ) - that someone needed "strong in mind" by all these "Impression" around them... In my University we studying these Phänomen in art in "battlepaintings" (napoleon..)as "Black hole " Phänomen. After battle soldiers "lose memory " etc. Or people Who were in the "deathcamps" needed to write make art to come back to live. .. And the question is u know a proverb /word etc. In the context of matrial art for it? (Pherhaps it is this "spirtual /demon thing a Master dont talk ") no Problem, when I get "no answer " it only comes to my mind in my Research about "time ". Thank you for all you lectures ! Greetings

But I will work on this idea further thank you
Yes, give it a try and you will see the difference. Thanks
"练拳不练功..." was the first gongfu proverb I learned in Chinese.
Great to know.
Ah this series is just treasure after treasure, thank you for sharing these

The demo was awesome! Very unique (to me) training and purpose. Thank you!

Thank you for your informative and inspiring lecture!
You're very welcome!
It depends on what "body" constitutes. If I assume the body to mean center, when I block, the center (Hara) moves the hand.
well, anything wrong in my video?

Oh my god, you are super fast :)
Thanks, I can be much faster...
ANyway I am not sure what you mean when you say that the movement of the arm resonates with the one of the leg.
It might be similar to boxing where footwork does more for punching than pure arm strength does.
@@ProfesserLuigi yes, but we don't have to go the easy way.
Let's empty the cup and let's see what Sifu says.
Well, please follow the video and try the movement... thanks,
