One of my favorite acuras. My neighbor, who’s almost 90 had this gen TL up until recently. This is a lady who lives in a $6+mm house and could buy any car she wanted, yet she drove a 15+ yo TL. She must have loved that car.
That’s so awesome! This past December I sold my 08 TL Kinetic Blue Pearl. Had 222K miles on it. I can’t express the love I have for this car. The look, the color, design, performance were all things that made me grab mine. To me, this era was peak Acura. The RDX, TSX and even MDX were all great looking cars. I’m glad to see it’s kept stock. It always bugs me seeing people who have modified it heavily. Beautiful car as it is.
Congrats James! I just hit 220,000 miles on my ‘07 TL Type S in Alabaster Metallic Silver in automatic. Absolutely love these cars! I also remember we used to drive around that area for fun when we lived out in Phoenix. Good times!
Same here! I've had my 2013 Tl advance for 2 years now on June 30th. I got it at 94k miles and it now has 137k. Got it pretty much pristine mechanically and esthetically. It was a California car originally. I've been taking great care of her and she runs perfect still.
Nice video, Tyson. I've owned an '06 TL since 2007, and it's by far the best and favorite car I've owned. It's no longer my daily driver, but I still drive it several times a week during non-winter months (Illinois). 110k miles; Redondo Red with camel leather (dash still Intact).
Just picked up a silver 07 Type S at 114k, incredibly well kept, no dash cracks, and leather seats intact! Mechanically she drives like a charm, hoping to keep her for the long term. Love the look of these.

Congratulations to James on rolling 200k with his gorgeous TL-S! Great to see such a cool survivor of one of my favorite Acura models of recent memory. Tyson, is there anything you miss about the TL-S that you owned for a bit?

Beautiful! Still miss my '06 6MT 7+ years later. It was the longest I ever kept a car for (8+ years) and the last manual daily I owned. Sold it with 145k with next to no issues over the 65k I added on it. Time will tell how my '18 SH-AWD fares by comparison.
