*thoughts* i enjoyed the fights in this anime they were really well done and interesting for the most part. and having a female lead in a fighting show was a nice change as they are not sexist and play the i wont hit girls nonsense. people are treated equally and there is no discrimination be it race or gender and i respect the show a lot for that. but everything else is just bad...pointless characters,inconsistency with power scaling including unreasonable powerups and a rushed ending. this could of been far greater then it was...poor choices reduced it to a good show at best. *Overall* despite my complaints i still think its worth a watch. *Whats wrong with this* Renges existence (honestly all of her school friends are pointless) all of ep 8 (beach fan service with a mask explosion) ep 14 kaiori getting up to many times... the ref refuses to accept makis team as the winner...because...thec hamps which lost are suppose to... ep15 showing a unnecessarily long flashback from the previous episode... 3 renge... ep17 the creepy guy+guy and 10-20+ year age gap kiss ep18 they can fall from 8-10 storys and be fine why were they damaged during the wrestling match from that small jump? the original rank 9 guy said he couldn't even scratch 1-8 and he just comes back the very same day he said that and 1 hit wins against the rank 8... a general issue is when someone loses in the rankings rather then just going down one they are removed...this makes no sense... ep22 various people doing questionable things to be in a fighting ranking... fireworks...body enhancements...weapons...its pointless if you use outside sources of power... mys well use a freaking machine gun >.> also a problem with the series as a whole is how fast characters evolve or improve...you lose to someone then train for a day then your good? bullshit its like certain characters get saiyan power ups when they lose and when they recover they are stronger... ep23 kaiori makes another extremely painful to watch appearance...trying for the ? time to motivate airmaster to fight even tho she just got her ass kicked...this was not the right way to go at all... ep24 makis step dad giving some stranger a lecture and not letting him eat... students eating out... if you don't work you don't get to restaurants its common sense...even if you do work its cheaper to make your own...how shameless do you have to be to ask your step dad for money to eat out with 4 friends with you... the girls have the fucking audacity to lecture the guy who just wants to eat because the greedy whiny piece of shit renge eats to fucking much...and doesn't want to share... ep26 the hack hammer guy beats the rank 8 in one hit...(he needed help to beat the rank 24) kins arms are already healed... broken bones don't heal in 1 or 2 days... ep27 they don't give proper explanation to who the ghost girl is,and what role she plays... something about the spirits of the strongest? why? and is she rank 2 since they never mention it. kaiori makes yet another appearance to waste time again... airmaster gets yet another magical power up from being depressed and thinking...
from someone who loves the hell outve fighting games.. this whole anime was a treat becuz of the references like this

Yeah Air master was really good for what it was, charming characters and interesting fights. Shame it kinda fell apart after the first half
