Thanks for the tutorial. On my setup your original tutorial did not work but I changed the secondary DNS to 1.1.1.1 and the MTU value to 1000 and now its all good. Full disclosure, I've no idea what that MTU is, but I remember seeing it on another video back on the day. See you guys online.

Needs to be pinned by creator. If you are a new wiimmfi player on mario kart wii on wii (u) you dont have to wait one week to play online if your console hasn’t been banned in the past or spoofing your identifiers. Hope everyone sees this!

Yes this method is strictly for the original Wii console only. However, if you are attempting to play mkwii ctgp, it is still available. As well as some other homebrew methods, but I’m not 100% sure if they work or are working. Hope this info is helpful.

All the steps work until trying to connect to the server for the second time. My internet works, but the second time instead of getting a successful test it gives the error code : 52230. I tried using both 0.0.0.0 and 8.8.8.8 and neither work so I am unable to proceed here. Does this still work?
After about 5 minutes online/mid-race the screen goes black and it says error code 91010... I’ve tried 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1. Also restarted the router once. Any help is appreciated!
I used to have bad WiFi when I was young and when I got disconnected that code would show up sometimes so it could be a slow WiFi connection. Not certain but a suggestion
I'm waiting for my Ethernet cable adapter to arrive in the mail. I can't get a wireless connection at all with my Wii and I've tried everything countless times. My settings are correct and I've tried different advanced settings like Google's public number and nothing. The worst part is that I need an Internet connection to get Riiconect 24 added and to finish modding my Wii. Basically when I test my Internet connection it always fails to connect

Are you sure you’re on 4.3 and didn’t press yes after connecting to the wifi? (or have you even made a new connection instead of using your normal connection?)

It was just frozen in that screen. So i turned off and on my Wii and i can still not play Mario Kart Online. Can i please have some assistance?

Thank you comments! Followed the video and got stuck on a few parts, but I'm happy to say that I now have a working Wii in front of me. First, I was accidentally entering the DNS code into the IP address screen instead. Oops. Next problem was getting error codes about network connection. I did a full unplug and reset. After that I got stuck on the user agreement page twice... waited four-five minutes and nothing happened. Kept having to hard power off the console. Saw in the comments to change the secondary DNS to 1.1.1.1 and MTU to 1000. That did the trick!! Hope this helps, and thanks everyone!
@@safakhan9349 I unplugged all the cords to the Wii. I think only the power cord actually matters, but just in case, I unplugged all of them. Then I waited a minute before plugging everything back in!

On a Wii U you’ll need an SD card, if you search homebrew on vWii you’ll be able to get it

You’re on the wrong page you’ve changed the IP settings change the IP address settings back to yes then look and make sure it says DNS

Why would you want to do this without homebrew anyway? Isn't it easier to just load the HackMii installer?

At the start when you say: this does not work on Wiiu, you mean on the normal Wiiu or on the wii menu on the Wiiu
