This can't be true. Because after reviving Lakshmana, Vadya (doctor) Sushena told Hanuman to take that mountain back to Himalya and place it where it was before. Hanuman asked whats need of it?. Sushena said, it's very important, because herbs are not property of single or few people. it's for whole mankind. So it's important to let them grow in their habitable zone where they are reachable to everyone easily. So, after convincing by Sushena's words, Hauman took mountain back to Himalya, at it's original place.
Lord Shiva is the coolest god imo. You don't get absolute peace and absolute destruction in one entity like in Lord Shiva's case. Ofcourse Lord Hanuman has it too but he's an avatar for that very reason.

Buddhism traveled from INDIA to east asia (china,thailand,Indonesia,cambodia,japan etc) maybe thats the reason they differ in stories but the core is same. In Thailand they have call ramakiya to ramayana all of those counties have some their cultural influence.
The reasons why they are different in different countries because they indegenious some Indian customs in ramayana to fit in their societies without changing the conclusion, wisdom or morals that are universal which is ok as long as the Valmiki Ramayana is intact.

God Hanuman was widely mentioned in Ramayana not much in Mahabharata. Very few references in Mahabharata. Ramayana happened first and Mahabharata happened a millennia later. And it is said to be Hanuman is being immortal he is still roam around Indian region.
Fun Story : Don't know if it's part of the original Ramayana but there is a story that Hanuman is the only person that has defeated Bhagwan Shri Ram. The story goes like this : One day Shiva was meditating and his wife Goddess Parvati came in and asked him on whom he was meditating. He said that he was meditating on Ram's name. Parvati asks him what is so special about Ram's Name. Shiva says Ram's name is very powerful, it is more powerful than Ram's arrows. Parvati laughs and asks, how can one's name be more powerful than his arrows. Shiva decided to show his wife the power of Ram's name. For this he took the help of Narada (A Celestial Rishi - who walks around the universe and spreads news around the world). On the instruction of Shiva, Narada goes to the King of Kashi, who was a very big devotee of Ram. Ram had invited all the kings to his court. Narada asks the King of Kashi that when he reaches the court of Ram, he should pay salutations to all but to Rishi Viswamitra (Ram's Guru) and give some reason for it. The King believes Narada (a pious person) and does the same. Viswamitra feels insulted and asks Ram to kill the King of Kashi as a punishment. Ram cannot defy his Guru's order. But the King manages to flee from there. He starts running all over the world but nobody is strong enough to protect him from Ram and everyone rejects him. Finally, he takes refuge from Anjana (Hanuman's mother) who agrees to protect him but she does not know from whom (The King did not tell her). Anjana called upon Hanuman and ordered him to protect the King and left from there. When Hanuman came to know that it was from Ram that he needed to protect the King, he was devastated. He cannot defy his mother's orders and he can't even think of fighting his Lord. Finally he decided to stand by his Mother's orders as it was the ideal set by his Lord Ram. When Ram's Army reached there, Hanuman defeated them. He also defeated everybody sent by Ram. Furious on Hanuman Ram decided to go to battle himself. When Ram reached in front of Hanuman, Hanuman said to the King that he is no longer strong enough to protect him. He instructed the King to chant Ram's name and he himself started chanting Ram's name. Astonishingly, all the arrows shot at Hanuman and the King falls on the ground near their feet. The power of their devotion of Ram is protecting themselves from even Ram's own arrows. Then Narada comes there and tells everything and pacifies Viswamitra and he takes his orders back. By this story, it is often said that if your Bhakti (devotion) is pure, the God makes you powerful that you can protect yourself from God's anger.

Hanuman ji is still on Earth plane, this you must have known by now. Since he's a chiranjeevi or immortal. There is an interesting fact about him, mostly known or experienced by those who worship him, and not just worship, but they do his 'sankalp sadhna' meaning the follow certain rituals for 'sankalp' and make promise to him that they will do so many recitations of Hanuman Chalisa, usually it is 7, 11, 21, 41, or 108 recitations each day for a certain time period, again could be 1, 7, 11, 21, 41 or 108. So it is said when you start his worship, and continue to do so, (not with the mindset of 'lets see', or as a spiritual fashion trend), it is said there are some indicators one begins to get in their lives. They could come across unexpected visit by monkey(s), or if the bhakt is true to his/her worship, then even Hanuman ji comes to meet him, but he is disguised as some holy man or seer, but you would not be able to relate that that's Him. Later when he's gone, you will realise who that person was. Again, these indicators vary from person to person and their depth of worship.
May be these story of lord Hanuman in other religions is a life story of later stages which didn’t cover in Ramayana or any other text that’s how i perceive it.
You should react to the ramayana anime movie. It’s a collaboration between japanese and indian studios and the story is pretty accurate. And it’s a pretty fun movie

He used his own guts as strings for the veena and sang praises of Shiva as he played it. When Ravana tried to lift Mount Kailash, Shiva crushed his forehand beneath the mountain. Ravana then asked for forgiveness and praised Shiva, who was so pleased that he danced with fury and passion. Indra has the strength of 10k airavat and finally 10k indra's force is in one pinky of Lord hanuman
PS- more about diggaj : there are 8 of them and said to be exerting force on earth from 8 sides, hence the elephants of directions. Just wonder is it a story about elephants or a lesson about gravity

Honestly there are tons of coolest gods in hinduism! Including krishna rama hanuman bhairava indra agnidev varundev suryadev vayudev kali durga parvati vishnu shiva brahma..i can go on for days.. personally from the stories of gods and by associating theyre avatars ill go for Shiva..Hanuman and Bhairava is Shiva himself with his own persona nullified in physical world(as hanuman) and astral world (aa bhairava) there are about 19 avatara he has taken in this realm! Many more which we have no idea of..as aliens entities animals other species and humans .just like lord vishnu and brahma..anyway shiva is my personal fav..the god u feel a huge connection to emobodies its energy onto u..theyre called "ishta deva" .."personal loving god"

Hanuman ji is still on Earth plane, this you must have known by now. Since he's a chiranjeevi or immortal. There is an interesting fact about him, mostly known or experienced by those who worship him, and not just worship, but they do his 'sankalp sadhna' meaning the follow certain rituals for 'sankalp' and make promise to him that they will do so many recitations of Hanuman Chalisa, usually it is 7, 11, 21, 41, or 108 recitations each day for a certain time period, again could be 1, 7, 11, 21, 41 or 108.
So it is said when you start his worship, and continue to do so, (not with the mindset of 'lets see', or as a spiritual fashion trend), it is said there are some indicators one begins to get in their lives. They could come across unexpected visit by monkey(s), or if the bhakt is true to his/her worship, then even Hanuman ji comes to meet him, but he is disguised as some holy man or seer, but you would not be able to relate that that's Him. Later when he's gone, you will realise who that person was. Again, these indicators vary from person to person and their depth of worship.
May be these story of lord Hanuman in other religions is a life story of later stages which didn’t cover in Ramayana or any other text that’s how i perceive it.

if you are not able to read Mahabharata as a book, you can see the show made by BR chopra.. it has some powerful acting, story (ofc) and direction. its long though. For ramayan there's a show too but it if you're short on time, try watching the ramayana anime movie, produced by joint ventures of ind-japan. it's amazing

He used his own guts as strings for the veena and sang praises of Shiva as he played it. When Ravana tried to lift Mount Kailash, Shiva crushed his forehand beneath the mountain. Ravana then asked for forgiveness and praised Shiva, who was so pleased that he danced with fury and passion. This dance is known as the tandav and the chants became known as the “Shiva Tandav Strotram
