    Ah the Mongols truly are the exception in world history. They spend 3000 years doing pretty much nothing, then expand to become the 2nd largest empire in the history of the world in just a few decades, then shrink back to their original territory and do nothing again for the next 700 years.

      Seems like their history is far shorter than 3000 years. The concept of mongol was formed after Chengis united the culturally independent tribes.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was praying that someone would make like this. Just my worthless two cents: Since the Mongol Conquests were so rapid between 1206-1241, it would be better if you slowed it down in that phase; there was so much going on I could barely keep track of things. Also, if you can highlight who was the Khagan at a particular time, it would be useful. I know that this not your usual format but since Mongol history just spans for ~150 years. I think it would be worthwhile since there is such little awareness about them. Regardless, another stellar video from you. Merci beaucoup!

      Five thousand years ago, we faced the flood like Egyptian.

      Three thousand years ago, we thought about philosophy like Greek.
      Two thousand years ago, we conquered places like Roman.
      A thousand years ago, we were as wealthy as Arabic.

      Now, we play the chess with United States, we are always one of the players on the table called earth , however, what about other players? Chinese (Han Chinese) , the best warrior ,best engineer ,best teacher ,best scholar ,top of human history with 5000 years civilization , now we still against the evil Western Zionist , So China is the real master of world .

    Siberia was their backyard, so why not colour that in? The British Empire includes ininhabited deserts, yet those are coloured in, so apply the same standard to Siberia for the Mongols. Make it bigger, please. The British still had the bigger empire, since they ruled waves and not just earth, and ruling an ocean which they practically did such as the Atlantic by having dominance, should count.

      No.
      The term Mamluk just meant slave.
      The Turks never managed to truly withstand the Mongols.
      There was one Turkish dynasity in Egypt, but the state as a whole was simply not Turkish.
      Not even a majority.
      Furthermore no "Turkish" National identity truly existed at the time, Turks were just mixed race migrant.
      So calling it the Mamluk empire Turkish is simply idiotic.

    I can not agree that the Republic of Korea is included in the map.
    Khan of Mongolia promised.
    First, it is not necessary to change the clothes and the tube used in the head according to Koryo 's style.(This means an independent country.)
    Second, the envoy prohibits all but the Mongolia.
    Third, returning to the capital city gaegyeong can adjust the time in consideration.
    Fourth, the army in the yalu river withdraw in autumn.
    Fifth, All the governors who have dispatched before are removed.
    Sixth, those who volunteered in Mongolia will investigate and return it.
    That is kubillai khan's promises.
    Every time there is a claim that the Goryeo(korea) should be eliminated and incorporated into a Mongolian states, koreans say that mogolians must abide by the kubillai khan's promises.

      They claimed Descent from the Mongols and Timurids. that is true, however their reign is in a later period and somewhat not directly related.

      yeah the Mughals came centuries later, and called themselves Moghul(mongol in farsi) because Babar the founder of the empire was a direct descendant of Temur via father's side and Genghis Khan via mother's side.

      SO, why does your history writed by Chinese?

  • @Emilechen
    @Emilechen 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    look at 1:16, Chinese Ming dynasty was the only power in the World who counter-attacked Monglols and invaded them in their Homeland steppe,
    later, during Qing Dynasty, Chinese destroyed the last Mongol Empire on Xinjiang : Dzungur Empire, Inner Mongolia, the core of Mongolian culture, is annexed and becomes Chinese territory,
    si China has always been the worst nightmare of all nomades empires un Asia: Xiongnu, Xianbei, Goygureo ,Gorturk, Tobo, Khitan, Manchu...
    ah the begining they defeated China, but when China wakes up ans hit back, they get eliminated, their descendants becomes Chinese citiziens, their territories becomes Chinese autonomous regions,

      No, Russia enjoys some degree of autonomy, but their land lords answer to the Khagan of the Golden Horde. It's not until the 1500s when Russia became independent and declare the "Tsardom of Russia"

    • @ChirkunovIvan
      @ChirkunovIvan 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Damminh Khoi In fact, the russian kingdoms were separate states, but vassal states. It is not autonomy, because in the principalities remained the same dynasty, the same kings that were before the invasion of the Mongols. Kings had their own army, they pursued a internal and external policies. Novgorod was actually completely independent. But I mean a specific period of time, from 1380 to 1382. When Russia declared itself a fully independent and defeated the army of the Mongols on the Kulikovo field.

    • @mkd2839
      @mkd2839 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Johann Ingvarsson Yes. They ANSWER to the Khagan of the Golden Horde. Which means that they are not independent. But yes, you're right for 2 years

    • @ChirkunovIvan
      @ChirkunovIvan 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't mean that the russian kingdoms always were fully independent. I meant only those 2 years. At other times they were like vassal states until 1480.
