Hey Josh, I’ve been curious about something when it comes to Michigan. Between you and BassBros, how come you guys don’t get much ice comparing to your neighboring states? It’s cold isn’t it?
@@MountainStateAngler it’s cold but here ish... it’s been staying in the upper 30s during the days which screws everything up and where we sit in the state the good hard lake effect storms turn to rain by time there to us. I had buddy’s checking ice today. I asked how much and he said “more than what’s in my pants” so hopefully we have about 2 to 3 inches of safe ice now. I’ll be trying to get out Friday.
That was a Great Lake trout. I really appreciate the way you show your technique, jig, graph...etc. I know a lot more about lake trout ice fishing after watching this video. Thanks for taking the time to explain what you are doing. Any reason for only keeping 2?
@@MountainStateAngler We have some big lakers around me. Niagara rivers hold some big ones as well as Lake Simcoe here in Ontario. They get them through the ice throughout the winter. They get up to 20 lb.
@@MountainStateAngler I need to get a bigger vehicle to out there first. I'm not sure how my my car would do out there in the snow like that. One day though. Thanks for the inspiration.

Little tip drive the road on the south side going east got a little Stream back up there and a Small lake it feeds just above Granby Called Monarch Lake Some Private cabins on the North but Dang good Fly Fishing for summer or it used to be I lived up there for 15 years back in the 80-s I got a few old hidden gems in that AREA but got the hell out When the FLOOD of HUMANS CAME TO DESTROY IT

Now ask me someday about I--- LAKE if your young enough to hump 4 miles STRAIGHT UP NO TRIAL FOR GOD'S BEST CUTTHROAT cant tell you on here but its a late AUGUST HUMP and may still be ICED over then Just watch out for the KITTY KATS they are kinda big up there and HUNGRY

It cost me a fish last summer. I was watching the screen and a big one came rushing in and I got buck fever and set the hook before he had it in is mouth. Haha, i've been excited like that from marking a fish, like this day when i saw this fish. It's like the fish purposely went to my friend because it could feel me wanting it. Thank you I hope we have a decent trip with at least one big fish!
As much as Paul loves me he’d never let me borrow the Panoptix lol. I got one! I don’t like how it can’t mark fish past 45feet in live scope so the bird does better there.
