  • Welcome back to another ice fishing video! Today we are back onLake Superior chasing lake trout. Today we had a bite window open up and we were on the right fish when the window opened. In this video Bo and I catch a few stud lake trout on one of the coolest lakes on the planet. Sometimes it all comes together perfect on a fishing trip and this was a special day to capture on video. Thanks for watching the ice fishing videos!

    Great Catch, why do we want to watch you reel in fish? What is truly great about your best vids is how informative they are, the #1 thing as you know is location-you do not want to give away exactly where you are but you could draw on a white board to give us a generic idea, basin? saddle? reef? point? Thanks

  • @stevesattler2180
    @stevesattler2180 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I know I'm not supposed to ask (lol) but where did you head out on the ice from? Down here where I'm at we aren't hooking up on the inland lakes and our bays aren't freezing over. Great video though!

    • @markbenson3771
      @markbenson3771 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Steve, there places to get on the ice all over that area. Check out the bait shops in Ashland and they will give lots of info regarding the areas of danger. From east of Ashland at 2nd Landing through town and to the other side from Washburn to Bayfield… once you’re beyond Bayfield ice can be safe in the islands as they tend to hold with islands as anchors. On either side of this area you’ll be fishing on shelf ice, which is easier to bust up with the wind. Again, that is not to say the areas of ice I mentioned don’t have danger zones, because there are spots to be careful in

    • @stevesattler2180
      @stevesattler2180 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@markbenson3771 thanks for the info, time to do some research. We've put a lot of hours on the ice without one trout on lakes that have always been good for them.

    Be smarter about background and where you are. That fishery can’t take much more pressure. You had a great day, fun stuff. Just don’t ruin it with location. I am sure you were put on that spot by someone. And that someone would agree with me. Just saying. Tight lines.
