Great to see this series being talked about to this day. Makes me want to play once again through these games all over again.
Is it so hard to believe Kras City was racing this whole time?
They have cars with incredibly dangerous guns. You hunt metalheads for SPORT in some events. I think Kras city is WELL off, especially since the Metalheads were focusing almost entirely on Haven.
Maybe the dark makers were a problem for em, but I cant imagine they were MUCH of a problem
Very interesting tidbits , might not be much but the small little things at the beginning we didn't know about adds a feeling of depth to the story, i agree though, someone dying in the end would have been stupid in a silly racing spin-off.
Roller coaster stage looks insane! I want it.
Always amazes me how fast they put Jak X together, all them assets and mechanics having to be done from scratch and it still coming out as amazing as it did is quite a feat.
I'd recommend using a workflow program like lightroom or an alternative if you're editing scans in bulk, it has all the basic tools of Photoshop and will save you having to import and save them all individually.
I wanna have a Jak X LAN party now.
Roller coaster does look insane, I'm not sure how it would have played though, but just the context and scope of it would have been so cool. I'm not sure if they made everything from scratch, my guess is they had the driving physics engine from Jak 3 and tweaked it to what they needed
Thanks for the info, I'll look into it. But I'm so glad I won't have to scan another book, it's so mindlessly boring. I'd love to have a LAN party, there's been massive developments in fan servers recently, you can play on PS2 hardware and everything, I really wanna try it out
As a longstanding Jak fan, I just wanted to thank you for doing us all the service of buying and scanning these design bibles, I've been fascinated picking through them and probably would've never even heard of them if I hadn't stumbled into your channel via the "Jak II depth" video The Algorithm blessed. Also, love your videos and analysis, instantly subscribed.
This Roller Coaster level looks cool, I remember when I was enjoying turboing the vertical walls around the stadium and being able to ride from one side to the other without falling from the wall, so cool

We need more Jak. Its criminal that Ratchet, crash, spyro all have at least remakes and Jak is left in the cold dark. Naughty dog PLEASE give the rights to someone who loves the series as much as we fans do!

I've always envisioned a new Jak game where you could explore Kras city like you could Haven. Imagine a game where you can travel between Kras, Haven and Spargus City and see all the renewed parts of Haven and Spargus too. That would be so amazing

I've thought about it, but there's a few reasons why I haven't.
There's simply no demand for it, or just very little. Because of this, I'd rather spend the money on items more people will care about, myself included
There's hardly any items at all to do with the game. There's a few different versions from different regions, and a strategy guide. That's pretty much it
If there's a real demand for it I could add some stuff to the site, but as it is, I'd rather spend my time, effort and money on the games everyone loves
2 : 38 : the destruction left could've have been racing territories, just started could be a typo for legalities : an even bigger underground ? More ancient ruins ???

I would actually really love to see that. TLFs development history is very blurry and we don't have a lot of info on it, so it would be super super interesting to look at. Though I doubt we'd ever see it

Jak wasn't just made for kids. 2's sexual content, Daxter getting drunk and the mild profanity proves that alone.
This is the greatest racing game ever made. Just wish it had a better sound track
the description of ashelin is pretty funny considering how awful she is in that game
