Exactly. Knight Rider, Street Hawk, Air Wolf, The A-Team, just so awesome. I never realized how many ‘minis’ or RC cars there used to film stuff like this. Seems like 1/4 of this clip is RC/Minis. Still, so awesome.
I did. Had KITT with Michael, Devin and Bonnie action figures along with the FFLAG 18 wheeler mobile command center. Back when toys were metal.

The trick is the Nukes. At all possible they had to stop the truck from driving away with Nukes. So even if they got defeated its not like they could get away with the nukes

"Knight Rider" was an exciting TV show blending both humor and adventure. A man with a new identity and a new mission, driving a practically indestructible jet-black computerized Trans Am that could drive in excess of 200 mph, shoot lasers and fly short distances, and can talk, was the real star of the show. Not detracting from David Hasselhoff, who played Michael Knight, he and KITT made a great team, solving mysterious crimes, supervillians, (like Garthe Knight) and rescuing damsels in distress. "Goliath" originally aired as a two-hour premiere episode that kicked off "Knight Rider's" second season.👍😃

The Hoff did a great job portraying Garthe. I was looking for something like this to happen in the new Knight Rider TV show since they brought back KARR.
I wished so much for that show.
That show had great potential but was just a 45 minute show for Ford. Joke it was.

The two Michael Knights were “Disco fighting”. 😆 By this point in the 1980s, Disco was dead, but the writers of Knight Rider wanted to “keep Disco alive”.

This was the best best most entertaining episode of the number one super vehicle shows from the early 1980's.

Not a goddamn CGI, because CGI stands for computer generated imaginery. There were no computers that would process such images at that time, at least not civilian use ones, and not in reasonable amount of time. This laser was hand-drawn into the film, frame by frame.
Loved the late sound effect on that last Kung Fu punch 4:50.

The problem with Knight Rider is it lacked any story or character development. Although in a few episodes, there were slight suggestions that KITT's AI develops, there weren't any clear statements or continuous develompent. However, in the first episodes KITT had relatively flat voice modulation and stated he has no feelings, in later episodes he has a talking style of an old lady.

I swear every time I see this show I marvel at the quality and real thought behind it. In this case I'm refering to the way they did the twin plotline. Yes there were other shows that cashed in on the twin story. But KRs was actually good and believable with the introduction of Wilton Knight's bio-son. They even foreshadowed it in the pilot. Plus they gave Garth a believeable reason for his disdain of Michael

4 minutes later and I have another question.
What exactly is the point of Goliath? It's a f*cking TRUCK. Yes, it has the whole molecularly bonded shell thing going on. Yes, it has (two) rockets. But it's still a f*cking TRUCK. It can't fly, it can't go offroad except in flat dessert environment. Oh, it has commandos in the back. It could have a dozen Arnies in back, doesn't matter if the f*cking TRUCK can't get them any where that isn't f*cking flat terrain.
I loved this show, and many others like it when I was a kid. The Super Car. The Super Motorcycle. The Super Helicopter. That Super Truck that could turn into a Super Helicopter. But even then, there were moments where I thought to myself..."None of this makes any sense". I know it's not supposed to, but still.
The 80's were weird, man.
The Truck had the molecular bond structure. Same as KITT. Virtually invunerable. That gives a huge strategic advantage over any enemy. That means it could be used as a troop transport with defensive as well as offensive weapon capabilities. goliath was just a prototype to show the african weapon dealers. If they had the formula, that government could use it to coat the rest of there military to give them a way to defeat almost any opponent on the battlefield.

Justinian Snow, the 80s made plenty of sense. Your over analyzing everything, and taking the fun out of it for yourself. Tv rewind shows only scenes. You need to see the whole episode to understand the ending scene. I saw all of the original episodes back then, so I know there's a generous amount not being shown. Loved it then, and still do now. Buy the season with this episode on it.

People expect too much too soon get bored-easily lose interest-that's just the way it is.
