@420 High Way I think you need to try something else. How about, you cook
okay maybe unpopular opinion but Batman vs Superman has to be one of the worst films I've ever watched😅
the continuation of the elton and taron cinematic universe
Elton is literally the best thing in this movie
@@erikawilliams9558 agreed
@@erikawilliams9558 whatt did you not like it? very entertaining for me, although i like the first and third movie more than this
Regarding your question at 18:27, there's actually a story behind that.
After the first film was such a success, the director Matthew Vaughn was asked in an interview that (inspired by Valentine kidnapping famous people), who would be the worst person he could have as a hostage. Vaughn replied that he could only think of Elton John, as he'd be such a whiny prima dona the entire time and he'd just be insufferable at every moment.
Naturally, Elton John heard about that interview and said he actually thought it was funny, and asked to be in the next movie. So one thing led to another and bam, Elton John turns up playing himself... as a whiny prima dona hostage being insufferable in every scene.
And amazingly, this results in him meeting Taron, who would go on to portray Elton John in his own biopic.
Elton John is an international treasure.
@@perrycarters3113 And Elton felt he was so good portraying him he ended up bringing him on to perform with him once or twice on stage.
@@perrycarters3113Oh shit, I never connected the dots!
Fun fact:
Merlin was actually gonna survive, he would’ve lost his legs, darth Maul situation, and he would’ve crawled into the bar after they kill Whisky and politely ask for some help.
This was changed when test audiences said they felt emotionally robbed by the fake death…
There’s already the Harry fakeout aswell
@@NoLifeKing_0 What's the problem with that?
@@scottchaison1001 the fact that in the original movie, his death was an incredibly unexpected and soul-crushing moment. Most people who I know who’ve watch Kingsman say that Harry was their favourite character, and I think the directors predicted this while it was being made.
It also presents a philosophy within story crafting, as stated by Valentine: “this isn’t that kind of movie.” Poking fun at the unrealistic and ridiculous lengths some writers will go to in order to generate drama or false stakes. and yet this is exactly what the movie hypocritically does in the sequel with it’s deus ex machine brain goo, just because they know that putting Harry in the trailer will convince people to go watch the movie just so that they can find out how he survived. It’s terrible storytelling at its most refined.
Man, that sucks, but I guess they already faked one death. Two in one movie would be so boring.
I liked that they made the stakes high so quick but at the same time Roxy was such a badass character. Loved her in the first and their chemistry was so great.
¿?
20:15 A curious fact about this scene is that Taron was really very uncomfortable in the situation of having to record a scene groping Poppy Delevingne, so the hands that are seen in the scene are actually James Cook, Poppy's husband.
Love this fact! Makes you love Taron more.
Poppy*
Still, cool fact!
POOPY 😭
Yo, you gotta watch The prequel "The Kings Man" next. Go into it with zero expectation. The tone is a lot more serious, as it's based around WW1, but it still delivers on the action, and huge third act climaxes that Matthew Vaughn is known for.
the story there was really good like the first one
really ? I've actually only heard that it's terrible
@@mrsfahrenheit don’t listen to other people’s bad opinions
It’s definitely not without flaw, but it’s lot better than a lot of stuff being put out these days.
@@mrsfahrenheit most of the people that say it was terrible didn't like the first two either. Its dumb, but its fun.
I like the two first movies, but I’ve gotta say I didn’t like The King’s Man. The premise was good, but I don’t think it delivered, atleast for me. Also just to add, saying that everyone who disliked the 3rd movie has a bad opinion isn’t looking at it very objectively. Anyone’s got the right to dislike something just as much as you’re allowed to like it, the total enjoyment someone gets from a movie is entirely subjective. But generally speaking if the consensus of most the viewers is that the movie is subpar, it generally is, though that’s not always the case of course.
I 1000% agree that this movie is a great sequel and I totally cried when Merlin sacrificed himself. He was my favorite! Great reaction!
I always cry for Merlin. His Kingsman version of Country roads just get me the most. What a character.
Pedro Pascal is my favorite thing about this movie. As he is in everything he acts in.
Elton was hilarious 😂 I love when he got cured he immediately starts yelling at Poppy 😂😂😂
Who said this movie is bad?! Come fight me! This movie is amazing! That opening fight scene. EJ kicking ass. The whole Statesman situation. Ms. Poppy. The cast! Amazing!
I like this one slightly more than the first, my only complaint was Whiskey being a double agent seemed like a very forced plot twist. It felt like they only started dropping hints that he might turn at the very last minute, and it’s not one of those twists that make you go “oh that makes so much sense” it’s one of those twists that makes you go “oh, okay I guess.”
Idk just my thoughts, maybe it’s just my love for Pedro Pascal talking.
I will say it did result in my favorite fight scene of all time probably.
I agree about the plot twist being a sell out, but disagree about the hints. As soon as he asked to see the vial, I knew he was lopsided. Lol.
@@JustCallMeMeghan he literally gave a hint even BEFORE that. When he said to Champaign, “we can’t make it personal” when they heard the presidents plan. He def dropped hints early, just only for people that are smart enough to see lol
@@samuelbrown4764 Oohh. Good catch!
Except he wasn't exactly a double agent, he was an independent variable who absolutely would have taken Poppy down, he just wouldn't have saved the victims.
Channing is from Alabama so this southern accent he has here is way more closer to the real Channing than anything else he's done lol hes from Cullman Alabama, to be exact!
I love these movies so much! Really started my love for Taron, He's sucha great actor. I can't believe I'm early for once!
14:49 the laugh had me on the FLOOR
Now that youve seen Taron save Elton...you have to see Taron become Elton. Rocketman is a must!!
"It's K-9!" It is a bit like a high budget Torchwood episode.
24:21 , "i feel like a tornado in a trailer park", it basically means he feels like he caused a huge mess
Don't forget to see the prequel, the King's Man, which shows the formation of the Kingsman agency during World War I.
It was so different it took me by surprise, at first i was like.. oh.. hmm. and then wow it really got me
@@McRino1 The people who have some knowledge about World War I will enjoy the movie better.
The movie will have a mid credit scene, so don't forget to check it out when you see the movie.
The detail of "Valentine has to be stopped, he has a device" with urgency on his voice as his first priority is the mission... Is an amazing piece of attention to detail on this movie.
Personally, I say it's worse because I vastly prefer the original's villain/evil plan ... and because I miss Roxy >:(
But, of course, the action, music, casting, costumes (lol Channing Tatum looks ~great~ as a cowboy), and comedy remain on point :3
Fun fact they filmed the scene where Harry teaches eggsy about the fancy dinner was actually made in the first movie but they cut it
13:08 I think he was in the trailer, but it didn't feel like a gimmick to me. A lot of people expected him to somehow survive since it's a crazy comic book spy world anyway.
The King’s Man is a prequel to these movies. It shows how Kingsman was formed. I think you’ll like that one too. It has more sword fights rather than had to hand and gun fights.
Man, I love these movies so much!! I cannot even name my fav moments of this reaction. I mean, the Doctor Who similarities, the Merlin and Eggsy bro crying moment, the puns... Perfect!! Not to mention the bar scene. We all knew what was coming when Harry got up from his seat 💀
I just love watching Seb's reactions, that handsome stud of a man!
Great reaction. The prequal is fantastic too.
1>0>2 but I enjoy all of them
I would highly recommend the next one it was not what I expected but an extremely fun movie to watch
Your wheezing at 14:50 had me rollin
37:37 a literal portable lightsaber?
As opposed to... A regular old stationary lightsaber? XD
Thank you so much for this showing up today. I thought It'd be a bit before you got to the second, or if you would, but man did it hit at the right time.
I was one of those saying the second wasn't as good, but only under the pretense that the first was insane when it came out and felt so different. This felt like more of the same and I'm not against it but it just has a different vibe to it to me. Although Sir Elton John kicking ass makes it a million times better in its own right.
33:12 I’m not ashamed to say I bawled during Merlin’s last scene. People who hate on this sequel need their heads examined for real.
At 9:57 - they actually filmed in a real wine shop called Berry Brothers and Rudd, a world famous wine shop that has been in London since the 1698. They got permission to film in the shop including their wine cellar.
Taron made a very fun Elton character and I liked his singing a lot
Jesus! I have totally forgotten about Merlin scene. Now am all teary. Damn it.
Loved your reaction to the first film!
6:19 I literally thought the same thing😂😂
thanks for saving the end of 2022 for me i just found your channel like a week ago
I really enjoy this sequel too.
I'll never forget the story Taron told about his first meeting with Elton at the filming for the wedding scene where Elton said to him "if I was 20 years younger it would be me who you were marrying" 😆
The outside of Statesman was actually filmed at the stables I used to ride at! Same with the cabin where Colin forth shoots Whiskey. Both locations were on the same site. I used to ride past the cabin all the time.
Taron Egerton
2016: Sings Elton John
2017: Saves Elton John
2019: Becomes Elton John
30:10 love how my country got featured in the weirdest way possible
That’s probably more like what he wore when he was younger Channing Tatum grew up on a ranch in Alabama
4:43 6:18 I loved the Doctor Who references lol
It’s interesting that they filmed the end of the movie with Merlin being at the wedding.
My aunt actually did the make up to the third kingsman so I got to go to the premier. Also you should react to it!
This was a really entertaining film w/ a great cast. I'd love to see Seb check out some other films w/ these actors, i.e.:
* Halle Berry - Catwoman, Robots
* Mark Strong - Sherlock Holmes, Stardust, Kick-Ass
* Colin Firth - St Trinian's, Nanny McPhee, Mamma Mia, Paddington
* Elton John (/his songs) - Gnomeo & Juliet, Road to El Dorado
* Channing Tatum - G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, The Lost City, White House Down, Jupiter Ascending, Smallfoot
* Julianna Moore - Jurassic Park films
* Jeff Bridges - R.I.P.D.
* Bruce Greenwood - National Treasure, etc.
Woooo, someone recommends HB's Catwoman!!
I genuinely cried at the theater during Merlin's death scene, it was so emotional.
You should watch Evolution! It's an alien-comedy film. Julian Moore is also in that movie (the villain in this movie). It's iconic and funny af!
That's Julianne Moore as Poppy. You can see (all of her) in 1997's "Boogie Nights". Also with Halle Berry in this you can connect the Bond Universe with this one. Since she was also in ''Die Another Day''.
Lets goo! I’ve been pretty hyped for this !!
I think you need to do some research on Prince. He was so prolific in the 80s-00s. Check out some of his live performances. Do the superbowl 2007 performance and any of his purple rain stuff. I mention all this because you didn’t know the song in the beginning or who they were parodying in Scary Movie. The opening character’s boyfriend who was tied up outside. It was because the actress playing the Drew Barrymore part used to be dating prince. So they were kinda making fun of that whole thing on top of making fun of Scream. But it got me thinking you need a Prince education. Because he was awesome.
EDGAR WRIGHT should direct a sequel
He has so much in common with Matthew Vaughn
#EdgarWright4Kingsman
If these films continue on forever, and Matthew Vaughn hands the keys over, Edgar Wright and James Gunn should definitely both have a crack at the universe.
"Its basically a portable lightsaber"... as opposed to a... non-portable lightsabre?
I hate how they basically spoiled a major plot point in basically every advertisement for the movie, there were posters spoiling it, it's right there on the blue ray cover, streaming services probably use the same picture and spoil it too, like Why?!
You should definitely watch more Guy Ritchie movies! My favourite one is Snatch, its so perfect!
The new one is gonna make you feel something that's for sure.
25:08 "One laugh, one line" LMAO
17:12 omg the guy actually guessed what 🥚sy said
"Ayo, Channing is packing!" And that's in an ice chamber too, imagine when he warms up 😂
King's Man is an amazing movie. Really need to do that one.
26:26 Yes it's the Alps it's between France Switzerland and Italy
i know this is a bit late but i absolutely LOVED the last fight seen in this
It's a good movie, definitely, but yeah, I do prefer the first film. The villain (Valentine) is more interesting/developed, the story flows really well and doesn't feel rushed or prolonged, characters are great, and the tech/gadgets (while it obviously isn't realistic) seemed more grounded without breaking my suspension of disbelief too much. Again, the sequel is good, but it is lacking in/not as good in these areas. Also, while Harry is a great character, the inclusion of the restorative gel really took things too far for me and kinda lessened Harry's impact/story from the first film. I feel like, at the least, they could have not used it on Whiskey to make it more suspenseful as to whether or not Harry killed an innocent man or not.
Also, fun fact. Canonically now in this series, the American presidents went from someone who signed off on killing his citizens before getting his head blown up; to then being followed up by another president who also agreed to killing most of his population before being arrested. Just thought it was funny and kinda interesting to imagine how the in-world next election would go.
25:10 - that killed me 😂
I like both movies equally the same. I think they could make a third movie (besides the prequal) :))
37:40 This guy said it’s like a portable lightsaber. Lightsabers are portable😂.
Sebscreen you should watch the rush hour movies, because they are hilarious. Keep up the great work.
4:21 That’s President Coin from the Hunger Games movies: Julianne Moore.
The first time I watched this was on the plane with my little brother (who was 13/14 at the time), and a guy he went to school with. The way I made my brother close his eyes 😅
if only seb could have dressed up in a suit for this reaction. would've been fitting
"one laugh one line" had me crying for 10 mins
Loved working on this back all those years ago
Told you it was worth watching. Waiting for the next one.
watched the movie in cinema and re-watched it at home, liked it
I can’t wait to see the reaction to the prequel
same i loved this one about as much as the first one
i absoloutely love your vids
I loved both one and two! I can’t remember number 3 that well but I guess we will watch that together later 😂
All 3 of them were very good
26:26 there are literally Alps in Italy
I did in fact, cry when watching this scene lol
20:22 YOU WISH THAT WAS YOU HUH!?💀😂
Elton John playing himself was just fantastic
one of my favourite movies of all time
Love your reaction!!!!
Rocketman is so good tbh love that movie. Have you actually watched it or are you just referring to it's existence?
At 11:19 OMG ITS GAMBIT FROM D&W'S ACTOR
D&W = DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE
A tornado in a trailer park is not a good thing. trailers are mobile homes that usually go nowhere but still sit on tires and when a tornado comes through are among the most destroyed homes. Every American got that joke.and backstage pass is not the same as backdoor
So looking forward to your reaction on the prequel Kingsman movie, it’s really good one and the villains are perfect. Did not expect that to be honest.
lets goooo!! such a good franchise
Top 2 Colin Firth "Harry" roles. Well done.
I personally think he was really good in Mamma Mia.
The first Kingsman is solid and excellent throughout. The sequel has higher highs and lower lows, imo, which is why there is less consensus on whether it's a good sequel or not.
Hope you'll do the King's Man soon, which is the prequel. It's a..... strange one, but definitely worth a watch
24:04 they really got Indiana jones in the movie 😂
This is The Way, Oops wrong show hahaha.
The ONLY thing that I'm sad about in this movie is that they made Pedro Pascal aka agent Whiskey, they made him a bad guy in the end! He's such a sweetheart I love him so so much! 😫😒❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
the only bad thing they did in this movie is killing of the dog.
A great funny film to watch is what we do in the shadows
I hate how no one realizes that harry is not rusty, he just has no depth perception after losing his eye.
