For those who don't know what this song is:
It is a song the workers sing in the very first scene when you enter 'Fortuna' for the first time. 'Fortuna' is a sort of barracks for what are essentially indentured servants (debt slaves) to a merchant civilisation called the 'Corpus' (also known as "The Taxmen"). The 'Corpus' are practically a corporation. The board of directors of the 'Corpus' are the government and are ruled over by a Plutocrat named 'Nef Anyo' who is the son of the 'Corpus' founder 'Parvos Granum'. 'Fortuna' is located inside 'Orb Vallis', a frozen wasteland of factories on Venus. It is one of the open worlds of an incredible game called Warframe. Some people like the gameplay, some find it to be too grindy. But what everyone can agree on is the game is absolutely massive and incorporates so many different features it is near impossible to list them off the top of your head. The story and lore of this game is extremely comprehensive and is considered by those in the know to be one of THE greatest literary works of the modern era.
If you don't want to play the game, but want to enjoy the story, here are some great videos you can watch. They very long because there is so much to go over, but I promise you will not regret what you hear. It is best to watch parts, like an anthology of movies.

Warframe is horrible... played on ps4 for several years now that I own a pc I can't get my progress there. 😫
I'd still play it if there was a possibility to transfer it

@@artfiguretheone7129 With the crossplay beta currently rolled out, there may be hope for migration in the future. Currently its only for xBox and PC, but PS4 is planned. Once the different platforms are able to talk to each other, I don't see why they couldn't implement a migration feature.
Y'know...Hate to say it. But the corpus are slowly reminding me of the democrats in America. Turning their own people into tax slaves, now we just need brandon in Alad V's outfit and it's a perfect match.
@@jackrabbit1704 Its exactly what the Dems are. There is a reason they hired 80,000 odd new IRS agents.
But really its what governments are in general, despite what party is in power at the time. Our leaders are essentially just board members we elect to preside over the corporate nations we all call 'The West'. And those board members are ruled over by a plutocratic billionaires, just like the Corpus.
The Corpus are probably one of the best examples you can point at to describe how our modern world is run.

You all shine your talents exceedingly well. 😇As you request songs in several of your videos, I have one to offer I hope your friends in this might consider, that my adult son and I composed -- the complete lyrics for which we sent to Colm McGuinness' email. It's titled "Rising to the Sky, Up High", fitted exactly to the musical score Colm did for his 'Warframe' cover -- "Sleeping in the Cold Below" -- rewriting the darker 'Warframe' lyrics completely while keeping the music. It's meant to be the kind of potent, 'lift all together' sea shanty Jesus Christ's disciples Peter, his brother Andrew, James and John might sing -- recalling they were all commercial fishermen in Luke 5 (why I sent it to Colm, noting his passion for shanties sung with strength). Mindful also of you singing "What Child Is This?", Jesus is no longer a child when He commands the winds and waves -- with the mariner disciples as eyewitnesses (Mark 4:35-41), To give you a taste of that, here's the chorus: "Jesus! Above! Above! / Please take us where Your winds always blow / Let's be all bound around / Your Word strong and sound / As we're rising to the sky up high - up high ^ / Rising to the sky up high."
Always remember, if Warframe releases a song, and it's about a Corpus update, you know the song is gonna be fire.
This song used to get played (and maybe still is) on repeat to haze pledges while they cleaned the house at my fraternity 👍

I loved this song. We are accustomed to hearing so many musical instruments. You y'all have shown the voice as an instrument in itself. It always has been. I'll speak for myself. It has slip my mind on occasion.While listening I thought so many beautiful voices, so many beautiful instruments.
Since a brain injury left me with severe depression 6 years ago, I can count the number of times a song has given me chills on one hand. This is one of those.

I've watched several other renditions of this but the choral nature of this performance is what truly sets it above the rest. The "sons and daughters" line carries more emotional heft when it's actually, you know, sung by sons and daughters. ;) Thanks for this!

A project with one goal: To pull mankind out of the dark ages and back into the age of industrialization. And once complete the Northern Union State will have the backbone it needs to launch it's wars of unification across North America.
