I relate! I wanted to try and replicate a choir by myself while also considering how I hoped it would be used for this so doing parts in a way that could be added to other voices it was a fun challenge for sure
@@LadyTheLaddy And I recorded a choir of myself. I made up the extra voices. Composed an orchestra part. Submitted it all to google forms. But unfortunately, I didn't get put in the "fan medley video". If anything, my cover video is uploaded to TH-cam.

i played this song over the intercom at one of my old jobs, and just about every employee started singing it. The lower-middle class can relate to this song in ways we can't with other music. The composition, the lyrics...the message, all build into a crescendo of emotion that we feel down deep in our bones, like a long forgotten melody from lives past suddenly revealed itself. It's more than a song. It's an anthem. then again. maybe it's just me.

This video made something click inside of my brain. I've struggled with depression for years. Over the years, it's evolved to become debilitating in everything that I do. I can no longer cry anymore. The last time I cried, I was 15 and my girlfriend had cheated on me. Now, whenever I feel like I'm going to cry, that feeling lasts for maybe a second, before it disappears. The farthest I've ever gotten were some welled up eyes, and the tears never fell. Instead of crying to sleep like most people with depression, I just lay in bed and let a truly cold and empty feeling wash over me. I guess you could call that feeling hopelessness. Few people know what true hopelessness feels like, and the ones that do, know how truly alone it makes oneself feel. That feeling combined with a loneliness and a longing for a romantic partner, only makes it worse. I sometimes just never get up in the morning. I'll sleep the day and night away, no matter how bad my body hurts from laying down for such a long time. When I do get up, my hygiene and attention to cleanliness is about the only thing that has survived. Everything in my room and bathroom is clean, I take a shower daily, I brush my teeth in the morning and at night. All of the typical things that most people with depression can't bring themselves to do. I'm grateful that part of me stuck around. I hate feeling dirty, or being in a dirty place. That's really the only reason why I've never faltered with my hygiene through this arduous journey of depression and loneliness. Other than that, I'm dead inside. There's regular depression, and there's being truly dead inside. I haven't felt a positive emotion besides morbid humor in ages. And even then, I laugh on instinct. I don't really feel anything. When I hop on my computer to watch a show, a movie, play some games, etc, I only really play for a few hours before my depression snags me back and I just go back to bed, no matter what time of day it is. Nothing has kept my interest for long. I haven't had the motivation to write my book for months, I haven't been able to pick up my violin for months. I still have a half finished clay sculpture that I haven't touched in a year and a half. I have a knife that I forged, that I still haven't put a handle on. I've spent so much of my life learning these skills, and I'm sitting here as my talent goes to waste. I've played my violin for 8 years, and I'm too depressed to even get up and touch it. For years I've asked myself "why are we here?" And that's where this video comes in. Somewhere near the end of the video, it felt like a puzzle piece snapped into place in my head. We're here together. To create, work, starve, love; together. I now don't understand most religions, as why would a god ever want to stop this? Why would they stop something that brings so much beauty, despite it's struggles and strifes? That just doesn't make sense. We're here together, forever. I typed this after watching this 4 days ago. I picked my violin up and played it for hours. I wrote more of my book. I haven't touched my sculpture yet, but I'm about to. That puzzle piece, gave me the motivation to be me again. Thank you DE, thank you to the entire warframe community. You guys are by far one of my favorite games, and my favorite community. I actually enjoyed myself when playing a couple matches in warframe last night, and I feel like things are just starting to get better. For those of you wondering, I'm 18. I finished high school last may. I'm currently in the process of going into the US Air Force, and soon I'll be in. I'm unemployed (I quit my job so I can get ready for basic training), and yes I've tried everything there is to combat my depression. But this video might've been it. In a good way of course. So again, Thank you. I never thought I'd see the day where I'd go on a heartfelt rant in a youtube comments section, but here we are.
