Wow. I'm a bit perplexed seeing him been mentioned here also Didn't know he has been good to so many people too this is wonderful, i'm in my fifth trade with him and it has been super.
I just wish that all pets had such a loving home! They are truly amazing creatures! Just taking the time to appreciate them and nurture them brings so much joy. The simple life is for me. We've had bad storms, and I enjoyed going out to clean up the branches and burn them in my fire pit. I had a cup of coffee, watched the fire and the beautiful evening sky as the golden hour descended into blue. The pink and gray in the winter sky was breathtaking, and I thought, what could be any better than this. The awe-inspiring beauty of creation, a cup of good coffee, my sweet kitties nestled inside the warm house waiting for me and the crackling of the fire! To me, this is the good life. The hustle life is dead and gone for me! Thank you for your wonderful videos!❤
So beautiful...when you announced, "Daddy's home!", in that moment, I felt not alone. I have been grieving my own barrenness; at 54, I am well into menopause and although my mind, long ago, accepted that children would not be in my lot, there are times my heart still grieves. I know you understand and even though we will likely never meet, we are still connected. The love you shower on your dogs and chickens mirror mine and I looked down at our anxious Daisy, herself a shelter rescue, and said a prayer of thanks that we can give her the best life she could ever dream of. And I am now inspired to roast some carrots and sweet potatoes to go with our supper tonight.
It's funny, at 44 I have accepted I will never have a family with children, but I'm still hoping for husband to at least be a part of my family. Right now, I'm a dog mama so we are a family, and I feel extraordinarily blessed by God. He knew we needed each other, and we've enriched each other's lives. Watching Lea with her husband inspires me and gives me hope that someone like that exists for me. :)
Thank you for sharing. This is the first time I've seen her videos, and I kept wondering why she doesn't have kids. She seems so sweet and motherly. I was being a judgemental jerk when I saw her treating her dogs as kids. This is such a good reminder that we don't know what people are struggling with. I went through a failed adoption, 3 miscarriages, and 7 years of infertility beforevhaving my children, so I should know better. God bless you both. 🙏
There is something new and beautiful you are bringing into your videos Lea! You are bringing much wisdom and encouragement! Praise God for His leading and teachings from scripture to remind us each day how we should live our life. You are a lovely blessing to the TH-cam community. Thank you sister in Christ!!
I was watching on my tv and decided to come over here and tell you’re spot on. Sick and tired of fake, and i will bet you a peanut butter sandwich millions feel the same way. I also live in the country in a 1895 farm house which i am working on by myself. Just me a puppy. You got a subscribe from me. I adore how you are talking about God and how you work on your marriage. I see enormous amounts of true faith, honor and respect and all with love for our creator! I’m with ya’ll i agree simple yet the best! Keep going…thank for for the sanity of appreciating what God has given🙏
I was reading in Job 37 :6-7 this morning. A good reminder, when it's stormy outside, to stop and take time to appreciate or meditate on God's power, understanding, wisdom and so many of his other qualities that we see in his creation.
I'm so thankful for you, my sister in Christ. You speak back to me all of the things that have been in my heart, mind, and spirit since Christ captured my heart with His Love so many years ago. What a JOY it is for me to know that you are carrying the torch for those of us who are nearing our going HOME. You and James and your puppies are very precious to me. You are in my heart and prayers 💕🙏. Thank you.
Your videos are so beautifully done. One of my goals for 2024 is to live more mindful and present. Regardless of what I am doing from working to driving to washing dishes or making my bed… staying present in that moment and giving my focus and glory to God in every breath. It brings such joy in each day. ❤ God bless!
I love your videos! I feel instant peace as soon as they start. My passions are clean food, simplicity and animals which is why your videos make me happy. You have a beautiful gift and we are better off for you sharing with us. 🐾❤️❄️
Lea❤ your videos bring a piece of His kingdom in to my soul! Your input on to topics is SO wonderful, it goes straight to the heart, and points me to the Fathers heart! I can feel His heart through your words❤ Thank you for this beautiful and uplifting and pure video❤🙏🏻❄💙🐾
I always feel at peace and blessed watching your videos, Lea! I so appreciate all the work that goes into making beautiful and edifying videos. I always learn something! Thank you so much, and may God bless you and James, and the animals!
Hello from -1 in the north Georgia mountains. I missed the beginning so I'll have to rewatch the whole thing after errands.❤❤ So I have watched to the end and think that even though I believe we are born in the specific time that God sets us in, my heart is longing for the days that were slower and meant more. I realize in the Laura Ingalls Wilder days that things were considered hard but those times families valued each other so much more than they do now and things meant so much more than than they do now. I personally would love to live more intentional than I find myself doing now. You have opened up a part of me that has been put away for years because of one reason or another. I think it's high time even at this late date to revisit that longing. Thank you Lea for another warm video. ❤
My best friend I grew up with lives in the mountains in California I left and came to Texas in 07 I sent this video to her hoping she feels the same peace I feel when I watch your videos ❤
Dear Lea. I so needed this beautiful reminder today. I’m forever trying to practice gratitude and mindfulness but yet life always seems to get in a way. As I’m dealing with lots of uncertainty now I’m trying to put my trust in God. But I have a hard time believing that God can forgive ALL sins. Even if you repent and ask for forgiveness. So I try but feel unworthy of forgiveness as I can’t forgive myself. I’m not as versed in Bible as your beautiful community which you had gathered here. But I’m trying to cling to the story of the prodigal son. Perhaps there is a space for prodigal daughter too…
Yay - I can't wait to watch this later! :) I've been looking into motivation and self-discipline for myself during the last few weeks. After taking on many bad habits (many are related to phone / social media use) in recent years, I think it's so wonderful that God designed us so that we can rewire our brains on a physical level. It's a perfect example of his grace and his wonderful design. I found this quote encouraging: "When we use spiritual growth to change our brain through self-directed neuroplasticity, as guided by the Holy Spirit, we are making our own brains more conducive to us being transparent before God, which, through grace, will make us more receptive to God’s plan for us.”
Amen! Why? Why am I doing this, buying this and eating this and keeping this? Questions I’m pondering as of late! I started purging last June and I’m still purging and I love it.♥️🙏🏽
“I’ve always been a little bit different…” Me too, Lea! Me too!!!!! We are indeed a “peculiar people” in this world!!!! I homeschooled our two daughters who are now grown while my sister sent hers to school and continually poked fun at homeschoolers. She was horrified when I said that I did not want my daughters to go to college because they are simply organizations of indoctrination while hers went for their degrees. Neither we nor our daughter regrets our decision. We are peculiar and I like it that way! Praise Yah for our peculiarities!!!!
Well said! Same here. The pressure is great, to conform to the world's standards. But we are a peculiar people, set-apart for our Father's work and kingdom. Well done, Sister!
I’ve missed you, Lea. I watched a lot at the very beginning of your TH-cam journey. That’s been years already. Today you popped back up and I watched. I’m so happy to see that you’re healing. Your cozy mountain life seems to be FULL of the love and beauty of our Father. ❤
Thank you and Shalom! I so enjoy the messages in your videos and how you present them. There is so much beauty and peace in them. May our heavenly Abba Father continue to bless and keep you and your family in His loving care. I appreciate you speaking truth and encouraging women to walk in the ways that bring glory to our Father. The way you love and care for your chickens and fur babies is admirable as well. I look forward to the next one! Thank you for the encouragement to speak life and live with intentionality❤️
Thank you for sharing. Intentional living has come to me in my retirement. I have a finite number of years God willing. I intend to live with purpose and be mindful of my family and in daily tasks and crafts. Seeing you is such balm to my soul. Blessings xx N
Just poppin in, to say hello! You look nice and warm in the beginning of the video :) I'm hoping for just a smidge of snow, here in GA lol -Mrs. Toland
As usual, I enjoyed this video this morning again. It’s very encouraging one thing you did comment on was. Minimalism. Often I have sat around my home and thought I don’t want to be a minimalist. Why you say the same thing I say the things I have around my home are things that I have made over all my years of life, since I was just a little girl. I love studying the Bible, worshiping, my God, applying the things I know to be right from the Bible in my own personal life, sewing. I love looking around my house and seeing the things that I have made in the last 50 years of my life. The memories are there with the time that I spent making them. Some people would look at my home and say it’s clutter. But it’s not it’s part of my life. I have learned over the years because I’ve been in a lot of homes, and I would see things that people had collected, or just had it in their home and to me it looked like clutter. But I don’t think that way anymore. Because it’s not cluttered to them. Because it was theirs it was their life history laying around in their home. Sometimes it is clutter. But I’m not talking about that I’m talking about nice homes not expensive just simple homes with things around it that make it a home. I choose not to get rid of my things because I enjoy getting up every day and looking at it. I have a granddaughter she plays on the video games all the time. I have a hard time understanding that. But it is the generation. But you are absolutely right and what you say. The little house on the prairie they knew more even though they did not have a computer in their homes or other technical things to distract them but they had more than our kids today. I never had that as a young girl. I still don’t know how to do. It barely know how to pull this video up on my phone to watch it. But that’s OK. Because I apply the things that you were saying about making life little things count in my life. Like every morning getting up and hearing the birds sing praises to my God. So I really enjoy your little videos that you make. They’re heartfelt but more importantly, the things that you’re saying are true. Thank you for putting the time in out of your day to share with the rest of the people who choose to listen.
So thankful for you Lea Your message is such a blessing. Full of wonderful tips peace and love. God bless you and your family. Keep speaking the truth in a sad sad world. Focusing on the goodness the God has blessed us with , with others and his beautiful creation ❤
Good morning Sister in Christ Jesus. Thank you for being obedient onto our Lord and be the wonderful blessing in my life by sharing what the Holy Spirit place in your heart so we may gain knowledge, wisdom and understanding through it. May he be glorified always. p.s. you look so lovely and radiant.😊
Good afternoon dear sister in Christ it's Thursday afternoon in North Carolina my Husband is building a fire and I am drinking ginger tea watching your videos it will be 17 degrees in the morning 😊😊😊we we love it
I absolutely must get the Little House book that you quoted. The excerpt that you read for us, as well as the notion that you illustrated by reading it, really hut straight through to my heart. I love your channel!
Your hair is so beautiful; it is truly a glory to behold. I love this video. Especially I noticed the designs on the feathers of the chickens. We serve an amazing God!!!! Dot
Thanks for reminder to be intentional. It’s all too easy to “ keep scrolling” thru the days and not just sit in quiet and focus on the Creator. For some reason, I miss the Headcoverings on you.
Shalom 🕊️🌿You are such a blessing in my life🤍 Your videos bring me so much peace and I love that Your peace is from the heavenly Father. ✨🌿 May the Lord continue good bless your channel
We're i live today the lake is completely frozen over except for one little spot, sometimes the position is different but the little spot where the water is not frozen is always there, and all the ducks would move to that little area that is not frozen over. And I see this each winter year. No matter how frozen the whole place, there is always a small portion on that water where the ducks would be able to stay and people will come and feed them. It makes me smile and wonder at GOD each time. He is awesome. HE cares for all HIS creatures and provides for them and dose not forget any. It warms my heart and makes me smile each winter morning when I see this. GOD is amazing.
Here in Phoenix Arizona, our house is butted up against mountain's of a different kind where it doesn't snow, but they are beautiful still. We have only 3 seasons all of which last about 4 months each; Spring, Summer and Fall. It does get cold in Phoenix, but not enough to call it winter; however, there's lots of snow only 1 1/2 hours away so we don't completely miss it. During the summer, my husband and I travel to other parts of the country that are not so hot. It's the best of all worlds and we love it. What I love most is that no matter the season or where we are traveling, we are still able to serve the community, our neighbors and family. Take care and thank you for sharing your slow, balanced and intentional life. 😀
Last February my husband and I flew from cold wintery Idaho to Phoenix to watch spring training and get some much needed vitamin d. Unfortunately it was so darn cold while we were there that we we froze 😂😂😂. We never did wear our t shirts and shorts that we packed. Everyone said it was an unusually cold winter for Arizona. We had to get back to Idaho to warm up.
I just stumbled across your channel. Thank you so much for inviting us into your home. I feel like I have just met a kind loving older sister who can provide words of wisdom to encourage and guide healing and peace.
lol I literally read the title in the video pic as "being a peasant" i was like OMG that makes sense for this kind of a video. Only to see it says "being present" I'd much prefer the blissful state of absence if this is what being present looks like. Thanks girl.
We are studying story of Abraham and Sarah in our sisters bible study, and we know that she was beautiful! Every time I watch your channel I think of Sarah, because you are very beautiful! Wish you to stay beautiful and wise just like Sarah! Your sister in Yeshua, Olga from Erie, PA. God bless 🙏 Leah!!!❤
So agree with the notion that the language in older books is more intentional and evokes vivid feelings and better imagining. Glad to see the heater in the chicken run! I know you and James take the best care of your animals … I’m just nosy! ❤️
Thank You So Much For Today’s Video My Dearest Friend Lea: Your Messages Are So Warm And Comforting 😊 I Am A Little House Fan Also. May God Bless You And Family And Your 2 Beautiful Dogs 🐕- Have A Blessed Day- From: Your Friend In San Antonio, Texas USA🤠🇺🇸💖
I know it's personal and only if you feel comfortable, I was wondering if you and your husband grew in Christianity together and changed together or how your journey had worked together. No obligation, I just thought it would be edifying to learn how you grew separately and/or together to who and where you are today. Thank you for your wisdom and reminders to enjoy God's creation and give our mind into subjection to Him. God's been making this more serious to me lately and I want to continue to grow.
Sitting here with my little girl enjoying your video. I appreciate the softness of it all (she does not like loud noises), your wisdom, and commentary on life. Love from Tennessee to you, sister Lea. Thanks for blessing us! 🤍
I have a rescue as well, she is a four pound teacup morkie, she gets so excited when I give her fresh water and when I put a sweater on her (her annoying yaps are quite joyful). I recently got a 900 emergency to my car, causing me to cancel my travel plans. I was upset and met Ukrainian refugees at the museum I was working at, and the family was so happy running around looking at our taxidermy with curiosity, asking questions, giggling at photos of raccoons being goofy. It put my thoughts and gratitude back in place.
My heart jumped when I heard you talk about poetry… this Christmas I watched for the first time a movie called I Heard the Bells. It was based on the life of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. He was known as “America's Poet” during the Civil War era… throughout the story, I learned how esteemed a poet was back then. It got me wondering why there were so many poets then compared to today. You touched on a good reason why that is… because of the chaos and distractions that fill the world we live in today… Thank you for the reminder that it is within our ability to choose to see the poetry around us instead. It is in the noticing that we are changed 💓☀️🙏🏼
Amen, what a beautiful video. Thank you! "For God so loved that He gave..." and all of His creation lives to give except for the selfish heart of man 💔 May our hearts be renewed in His love, by His grace, for His glory. Im so glad your lovely fur baby is settling in more ❤
I think these details are noticed by thinking deeply, maybe some of this has been lost in today's world. I think years ago, people had less and noticed and appreciated more. You should read Charlotte Bronte's novels, her writing was beautiful and poetic and a pleasure to read. Considering the Bronte sisters lived a very simple life in their parsonage, they must have had incredible imaginations to have written those beautiful books and at such a young age too. 🌾🌻
Glad to have come across your channel... sometimes TH-cam's algorithms do something right! Thank you for being there and being true to your hearts! I wish you all the best! ❤
I feel as women we are allways serving others and thinking about what else we should/could be doing to help others. Menn are better at looking after themselfs.
Hello Lea, I just received your biblical affirmations journal this past Monday, you and the Lord are the way I start everyday! It's a beautiful journal! Thank you for your hard work, may the Lord continue to bless you and your family ❤
The snow is so beautiful! And thank God for Godly husbands who wipe the stairs clean of snow :) I hate that these days every billboard/commercial is moving. If I walk in the city center, there's huge electronic commercial boards that keep showing adds. It gets overwhelming. It's like even the eyes know when it's too much to process. The world is moving so fast. But for what?

I had a cup of coffee, watched the fire and the beautiful evening sky as the golden hour descended into blue. The pink and gray in the winter sky was breathtaking, and I thought, what could be any better than this. The awe-inspiring beauty of creation, a cup of good coffee, my sweet kitties nestled inside the warm house waiting for me and the crackling of the fire! To me, this is the good life. The hustle life is dead and gone for me! Thank you for your wonderful videos!❤
The dogs are definitely living the good life lol. Thank you so much for watching.
I feel you my sister. Enjoy your supper :)
@@LittleHouseOnTheMountainI sometimes wonder why women who want children in their life so badly don't foster or adopt
So many children need love
@@lindawilson8434 it's not that simple
Thank you so much. I appreciate the feedback Jen.
😮
Your videos are so calming in this loud, angry world.
Amen
God bless!
I missed the beginning so I'll have to rewatch the whole thing after errands.❤❤
So I have watched to the end and think that even though I believe we are born in the specific time that God sets us in, my heart is longing for the days that were slower and meant more. ❤
In this video you remind me of Jo and Meg from Little Women. 🤗
How lovely! Thank you :)
Perhaps there is a space for prodigal daughter too…
For sure there is❤ God bless you.
That's beautiful. I'm so glad you are seeking out wisdom and desiring to live in the best way you can. ❤️
Amen!

“I’ve always been a little bit different…”
Me too, Lea!
Amen! Set apart :)
Well said!

My daughter & I are reading “The Long Winter” again right now. I love to read through this in the winter.
Blessings xx

Just poppin in, to say hello! You look nice and warm in the beginning of the video :) I'm hoping for just a smidge of snow, here in GA lol

So thankful for you Lea
Your message is such a blessing. Full of wonderful tips peace and love.
God bless you and your family.
Keep speaking the truth in a sad sad world. Focusing on the goodness the God has blessed us with , with others and his beautiful creation ❤

I absolutely must get the Little House book that you quoted. The excerpt that you read for us, as well as the notion that you illustrated by reading it, really hut straight through to my heart. I love your channel!

Thanks for reminder to be intentional. It’s all too easy to “ keep scrolling” thru the days and not just sit in quiet and focus on the Creator. For some reason, I miss the Headcoverings on you.

I cannot like this video enough. I wholeheartedly agree with everything you say, Lea. Blessings to you and James and your sweet cuddly puppers ❤
Thank you so much 💓
I would love a video on being more intentional in our marriages, with more specific examples of speaking life into them etc...
Greetings from the Outer Hebrides, Scotland 💛So glad to have found your lovely channel. I love how you spoke about mindfulness amidst distractions.
I loved this talk where you share your experience and putting words to it.
Being present in the moment is the true key to happiness. And as you mentioned being appreciative with simple thanks.
Yes! Another peaceful video, to help guide me onto a more simple living path. Thank you so much Lea! ❤
I just stumbled across your channel. Thank you so much for inviting us into your home. I feel like I have just met a kind loving older sister who can provide words of wisdom to encourage and guide healing and peace.
That's so sweet Rachel. I am so so happy to have you and welcome to the mountain.
lol I literally read the title in the video pic as "being a peasant" i was like OMG that makes sense for this kind of a video. Only to see it says "being present" I'd much prefer the blissful state of absence if this is what being present looks like. Thanks girl.
❤️So much to be grateful for ❤️🙏🏼❤️
I never thought of asking myself why I feel I need something thanks for sharing that it's really helpful. God bless.
My 13 year old daughter and I love your channel. This was such a relaxing video. It is a great reminder for all of us. ❤

Thank you for your beautiful, wise video. Peace be with you, sister in Christ.
Such a blessing. Like a breath of fresh air!
Sitting here with my little girl enjoying your video. I appreciate the softness of it all (she does not like loud noises), your wisdom, and commentary on life. Love from Tennessee to you, sister Lea. Thanks for blessing us! 🤍
This is the first of your videos I have seen and I just wanted to say, You are a breath of fresh air!
I can watch your videos for hours, you are so wise!❤
I have a rescue as well, she is a four pound teacup morkie, she gets so excited when I give her fresh water and when I put a sweater on her (her annoying yaps are quite joyful). I recently got a 900 emergency to my car, causing me to cancel my travel plans. I was upset and met Ukrainian refugees at the museum I was working at, and the family was so happy running around looking at our taxidermy with curiosity, asking questions, giggling at photos of raccoons being goofy. It put my thoughts and gratitude back in place.
A wonderful post, thank you 💛
( I’m going to watch it again so it really sinks in)
I just love your time with us. It’s that’s happy calm peaceful place. Positively motivating to enjoy our life. Ahhhh

Thank you so much! Your words touched my heart. Greetings from The Nethetlands ❤.
Beautiful as always 🌟
I think these details are noticed by thinking deeply, maybe some of this has been lost in today's world. I think years ago, people had less and noticed and appreciated more. You should read Charlotte Bronte's novels, her writing was beautiful and poetic and a pleasure to read. Considering the Bronte sisters lived a very simple life in their parsonage, they must have had incredible imaginations to have written those beautiful books and at such a young age too. 🌾🌻
