It's kinda sad that Apple has really convinced that they can be more productive on devices that has very restrictive features. Everything she's talking about can be done on Android but better. Yes it's not as smooth or refined, but it's more flexible you don't need a bunch of work around to do something simple like signing a PDF. Now let that sink in for a moment.

Few things you forgot to mention:
    - multiple user profiles, so you get two sets of tablet apps/preferences if sharing the tablet
    - Second Screen, extends the tablet to an external monitor. Not just a screen mirror like the ipads. Can also use the tablet as a drawing slate for Windows photoshop/lightroom with minimal lag
    - expandable microSD on the Tab S8

I think you underestimated samsung notes. For me, it's the best note-taking app! It's so rich in settings, the seamless use between text and handwritten notes, pdf note-taking. And having galaxy phone is just awesome since it complements quite well :)
Besides even if you don't have a samsung phone you can still download the app to android phone which it's impossible to do with Apple. I think we should be discussing how using Apple makes you stick to Apple. Everything is a close ecosystem. That's what I don't like about the brand. How everything is about restricting you to stay in the ecosystem and the lack of customization is also a huge no-no for me. Just the simple fact you can't configure a home page free of stacked apps it's crazy. I think apart for designers or people working with media, the samsung tab is by far way better option to use as a student or professional for day to day life or workspace

Can samsung notes handle clickable/hyperlink pdf? Two things that made me choose ipad mini are its size and goodnotes that can handle clickable pdf. I own cheap galaxy tab a6 with spen but its samsung notes can’t handle it and there are no alternatives in play store that as good as goodnotes in ipad.

@@Fool-arxana it might be the version of your table, because I add hyperlinks on my notes all the time!!!! I have the galaxy tab s7 and I love it. It surpases all my expectations. Although I do like using Samsung Notes on my Tab S7, I still envy Goodnotes in iPad. It's much more better to use, in terms of opening multiple docs and view them in tabs, better zooming resolution, better pdf conversion and so much more. Samsung Notes do have some advantages like colour palette, voice notes and so on, but annotations is much better in Goodnotes.

    • @makasete30

You can now configure your home page free of any stacked apps but apple typically makes these simple things harder than it should be.
I have different focus modes and one of those is just a blank page with the dock so I can see my wallpaper.
Another focus just has a couple of widgets and another a mix of stacks, widgets and groups.
To each their own but I love the apple ecosystem and I use multiple OS for work and home.
The apps that are optimised for the iPad are a big plus point. I suppose it’s a good thing that the Samsung apps are so good because the alternatives are lacking, but I’ve found on the App Store there is a wider selection,
With more polish. The developers know where the money is and that’s where they put the effort in.
Apple has had airdrop for a very long time and with handoff, continuity and universal control everything works really well. It’s great that Samsung has alternatives and dex, although limited, is a big plus but I still feel the ecosystem is something that continues to draw people in and keep most of them very happy.
Having the power of the M1 chip means it will be able to have OS upgrades for years to come. At the moment it’s about 6-7 for the IPad and it will keep its value for a long time.
Although the lack of customisation is a clear draw back what is there blows the competition away and it’s why next year you’ll continue to see videos comparing android tablets to the latest IPad Pro with titles like “is this the iPad Pro Killer?” For the upteenth time.
This is a move in the right direction by Samsung and I’m glad it’s selling well as android users who need a good tablet have been poorly served for too long.
It’s crazy to think Apple have so much to improve and further pull away from the competition though.
I use both OS, but it’s the IPad I reach for most of the time still.
Edit: off topic but Looking at a lot of the comments There’s also, unfortunately, a lot of fandroids on this channel who can’t bear anything good said about apple products or any criticism of android tablets. Apple haters show some of the same behaviour as the the apple fanboys and in many cases are worse by being so obsessive.
Not that you are but it’s clear from the a lot of the other comments that many posts can’t stand that she liked something about the IPad Pro over their precious.
I prefer notability to good notes but the reviewer has stated in previous videos that she doesn’t think it is as good. That’s fine. It’s her opinion and I don’t need to convince her she’s wrong.

@@iamAmeeeeeer It's a niche tool for two reasons: most consumers buying tablets, regardless of brand, aren't power users, so they won't really care much about Dex levels of multitasking, if they care about multitasking at all. Samsung also doesn't make Dex the standard UI, so it's decently likely not many users will even remember it's an option.
That said, Dex is also one of the best implementations of a traditional desktop UI on a mobile device, with the real limitations being down to Android and its selections of apps.

    I would like to add,
    1) Samsung note can record voice. And you can play back the voice record in the same time the note will show that you writing during which time of recording.
    2) there is a setting for Samsung dock apps. Where you can permanently put 1 scrollable row of dock at the right side of the screen

Great to see an Android tablet that’s properly competitive with the iPad! It’s been a while. I’ll admit, I don’t use tablets at all, as I feel they just occupy kind of a pointless middle ground between a laptop and phone for my uses (not saying others should feel the same). A lot of that definitely comes down to the limitations of iPadOS (multitasking, file system access, inability to compile/run code), and the Tab S8 honestly seems like it smooths out a lot of those gaps.

Something worth mentioning is that the app dev companies have a lot of more work to deliver an Android app than an iPhone. That's a huge thing to consider, bc if iOS have "better" apps, is due to that. It's just 2/3 types of different apps to serve well the iPad, iPhone and Mac. Now let's consider how many different android devices there are and how they're not exactly the same as each other. In my opinion, hands down to the android app dev.

I tried the apple pencil every now and then but it felt weird compared to the hp spectre I used to write notes on. The samsung tablet definitely felt the most similar to my old hp spectre so I will prob get that over the next few months.
Also, I think Samsung notes syncs with OneNote because of Samsung and Microsofts partnership which is perfect for me. I would just use Samsung Notes on the tablet, then OneNote on my Windows desktop, Macbook, and my iPhone.
EDIT: After some research it looks like the syncing between Samsung Notes and OneNote is limited to just the OneNote feed :(

As a photographer and designer that relies on solid RAW processing and raster/vector art applications I could technically get by on Android, but I would be gimping myself. Lightroom exist on both platforms, but I would rather go with one of the other fleshed out RAW capable Photo editing apps on iOS than pay for the subscription model. People will cry and say Snapseed is good, but those people have never been editing work out in the field. As for painting/sketching, Krita is an option among others on both so that isn't really a problem.
It's sad too, the S8+ is one of the best buys for a tablet with the better screen without the overblown size and price of the Ultra (I'd just buy a Surface Pro 8 at that point tbh). There are software features that I would enjoy, like second screen that actually works on Windows either with the default app or with another in the play store. Not having Afinity, Pixelmater, etc are kind of a deal breaker. Plus, I already have an iPhone 13 Mini (that I only got because it's only solid performing phone with a sub 5.5 inch screen for an ok price since it started at 128gb storage), which doesn't mean the Galaxy Tab is dead in the water, but as bad as the closed garden approach is, Apple devices play nice together. I won't even start about the greed that is the Air 5 starting at 64gb when my phone starts at 128gb and all Galaxy tabs having a TF slot for expansion.

Thank you. Your videos are always thorough. This is the first time I would have to disagree with you on something. Professional apps are available on both platforms. Each platforms has industries where they are stronger. Content creator developers tend to develop more for iOS because they use MacOS. But on a global level Android is the dominant. The simple reasons are better price points for Android tablets and Windows PCs. Apple products are more expensive and iOS isn't as flexible. Apple products are designed for creators at the highest level. That trickles down to iOS. So I could see why you would feel the way you feel as a creator. You are right when it comes media content. iOS does have the advantage.

Maybe it is just me, but I feel like iPad's system is still overall better.
Like, I know Tab Ultra can open so many windows at once, but in reality, most people only need 2 apps side by side, and maybe the third one (usually like calculator or other small apps). If you open so many apps, yes it is cool but your screen will be a mess and hardly anything can be done and you spend more time arranging and closing the apps 😅. (I tried this with Tab Ultra at Samsung's store FYI).
With iPad I do think the UI is more simple, more fluid, and can get things done a lot faster with only opening necessary apps. Not to mention, some apps in iPad are very optimized for half view, one third view, floating view, so overall I think is more intuitive experience.
However, I also wish Apple can improve its iPadOS, maybe not as complicated as Tab Ultra's, but just make it more "desktop like" just a little would be awesome!

Great job !!! 👌👏👍My humble suggestion in the future is compare Android/PC users or Just the S8 ultra for the reason us Android/PC users get confused because we don't know the Mac space and hard to concentrate with your constant back and forth. ALL in all, I loved loved loved your presentation !! My takeaway was Android does not at this time have enough useful apps to replace a PC laptop and you saved the day for me !!! Like you I do a lot of work Photoshop and Premiere. Please keep up the amazing work and you have the potential for being one of the TOP tech reviewers !!!! You have a nice background, sound quality is good, you dress nicely, and you really test and practice BEFORE uploading the review 🙂 The companies can really learn a lot from you because you are transparent and objective in nature. With HUGE appreciation and gratitude 🙏

ive never been an apple lover myself, so incredibly locked down etc but i am an ipad lover, i have never in any way shape or form felt let down by one, they are always so incredibly slick to use, apps like procreate feel so well refined for the ipad that i feel android apps rarely get close to simply because the apps are made to accommodate a variety of different models, many ipad apps feel tailor made for the ipad because... they are.
android hardware has always taken pride in taking the spec sheet war instead of taking what specs they have and refining the OS around it like has always been the case for apple but more recently apple has been as good as neck and neck in the specs war and this can only mean good things for iOS which has always worked well on lesser spec so the extra power only adds to that speed and refinement.
as is always the case android hardware has and is still does offer more freedom and flexibility but i hate to say it... that is almost as much a negative as it is a positive, sometimes you need that lock and key approach to really provide exactly the experience they intend which is why an ipad always feels amazing to use but you can pick up trash android tabs and epic ones, the specs matter almost too much with android. whichever one you get used to will always mean trying the other will not feel quite right so you cant really go wrong with either choice, often it comes down to what you are used to.

I have the ipad Pro and it's a beautiful device but i will get a new tablet next year and it will be one from Samsung. I just feel the limitations of the pro in a more porfessional use-case way too often and certain things just need a workaround. Be it with Usb limitations, bigger size transfers or even teh ridiculous segmentation of the Files and Photos app. Androids more open system just works better.

One thing i love about android and my tab s8 is how it has a traditional file system that allows you to easily compress, extract zips and stuffs
And i can torrent or download anything i want like on windows

For airdrop in IOS, you can have it in android tab as 'Nearby Share'. It'll work just as good as airdrop and you can share as long a your device run android regardless of brand

With these new samsung tablets you can expect a lot of the professional apps to start making an Android version. So right now apple may have the advantage app wise but with how fast Samsung is progressing its only a matter of time before android has all the apps as well. Also this s8 tablet looks incredible, ive always used ipads but wow I kinda wanna get this s8.

I always will choose the S tab over the I Pad
I have the s tab7 plus. Its a multitasking beast. The iPad is great too.,its just that it doesn't beat the S tab.

Samsung notes is really good, Samsung why you let Pro Apple reviewers test your products, you cannot convince someone that has preconceptions and certainties, they will always paint your products inferior to Apple, even if it's perfect, they'll find 1 issue with Samsung compared to 12 on Apple, and the whole video will turn into a Samsung bashing.

Can we just appreciate how she spends almost all of her money for us for device experiments?
Thank you so much for testing both the IPad and the Samsung Tab for me. Now I know which one to buy without worrying!

Tengo un ipad pro 12.9 y una samsung s7.
Samsung notes es lo mejor que hay! ♡🔥❤.

Very well done and fair comparison of each platform. I have seen pros working on both system while doing work at my house. Those guys fly with those tablets. They can't use keyboards because they were running all over my house taking measurements etc. One guy had a laser assist tool to help him measure my place for new floring.
