I spent the night in my tiny motorhome on the Yorkshire moors, did a little cooking and fell asleep watching a movie. The next day I had a look around Northallerton.

Best thing I have seen posted on TH-cam for ages. Ace you both 80 and still enjoy a Brewdog. Its a well decent drink. Also what a lovely burger @bythecurb made looked ace! Useless fact I took and passed my driving test in Northallerton its a lovely place. Tries to be posh and yes its expensive but the main base of local people are great!
So refreshing to see a lovely country town unlike the bigger towns and city’s that are now wasted

Ha ha I’ve just seen my Great aunt on this video @19:09 😂 she said she was at Northallerton on Wednesday on a bus trip from Northumberland and I thought I wonder if I spot her 😂 I will have to show her she’s 94 this year and still likes her day trips out with her club. Great video 😊

I live full time (no breaks or alternatives) in my Peugeot Expert and so no shower like you currently. I use Moto Service stations for showers and have taken up swimming again too.

We love Wetherspoons. Always busy and a good atmosphere. Each to their own. Just been away to st. Anne’s on sea and lytham. Would recommend both Wetherspoons.

Lovely vlog of my old home town. I’m originally from Northallerton and Mel from Sheffield but we retired to Tenerife 2 years ago. You captured the town perfectly, quiet and restful. It was always reputed to be the richest market town in England, but missed me! You’ve gained 2 followers on the back of this.
I have been a fan of you and Helen for ages, this is the first time I have commented but I want to thank you for showing me so many beautiful places, I am in my forties and suffer from chronic pain so you have unknowingly helped me through some dark times by showing me the outside world, keep up the great work you and Helen deserve all the success and good times that are heading your way, oh and keep on drinking and showing the lovely pubs....sod the haters!

Nice to see Northallteron again, I had to spend 2 weeks there with my job at the time then back in 2007. I remember it was a great place for places to eat out.

These market towns are great to look round. Plenty of independent shops and cafes with the occasional museum and usually a church. Really like your honesty and integrity regarding sponsors. Thanks for posting.

We stayed at the New Inn in Pickering. They brew their own beer. Did the brewery tour and really enjoyed it. The food was great as well. Have a great weekend. Thanks.

Born n raised in Northallerton, its a different place now still live there, ive seen more in this than i do with my own eyes. Like most places calm n serene during the day. Then the feral kids hit the streets. .. awesome place to live on this earth all the same… its Yorkshire after all… whether north, south, east or west. Biggest county best people. If there is any devolution gotta be Yorkshire 👍

Love watching the content James, whether it’s with Helen or you on your own. Always something interesting and it’s nice light relief after a 12hr shift. The dry sense of humour is perfect and as time has gone on you’ve come across as more natural and used to walking around with a camera in busy places … which must of initially been a bit nerve wracking. Looking forward to more of Spain as it’s given us lots of travel ideas.

My hometown! And I agree, that's the best wetherspoons and the food is so good there. But you're right it can be quiet and seem a little boring if you're used to big city life, which we are too! It's taken a lot to get used to small town living, especially when all the takeaways are closed before the pubs 😅 Darlington is a nice bigger town to visit
My younger brother recently relocated to Northallerton to start a new life with his partner and babies.

I was at Northallerton a couple of weeks ago, the market is more lively on a Saturday. Enjoyed the video, we didn’t go into Wetherspoons so it was nice to see, we went into the one on the other side of the road that you walked past, that had a lovely beer garden.

We have a 170 Sprinter van that we converted … Helen is right you definitely need a shower & loo (ours is a natures head).. our bed is permanently set up, we have a kitchen & seated area, brilliant for travelling near & far..

Yorkshire is my favourite county. It's just beautiful up there. It's gorgeous in the sunshine and majestic in the wet (not referring to the cheapskate wine shop! £35!!)

I can understand why you want a bigger van, it can't be great on a wet day with 2 of you in this one. But this is a beautiful little van. It's so nicely kitted out, lots of little storage spots and a loo and fridge box. I remember what it looked like before the converters got hold of it, solid chunks of wood, not enough insulation, nowhere to put anything....... I'm scared 😱 But it's going to be fun watching. Don't sell this one until you are sure. Just in case. 😂
