Can't believe this guy is gone. This song is super radio friendly, yet there is a doubtless depth to it. The lyrics and how Chester sings his lines, is very heartfelt, you can tell. I'm too a fan of their older stuff, but I welcomed this new sounds because they always kept moving in new directions, trying to find new sounds out of their confort zone. A great band all around, and it kills me that he decided to end this way :(
Totally, I'm glad that you're also being a fan still, appreciating their new directions in past, starting with Minutes to Midnight. But I should say, it wasn't Chester s decision,neither his fault.. it was prompted act affected by alcohol n stuff, plus grieving over his closest friend ..(on his b-day) it was just tooo much pain to take
"There is comfort in the panic" this line clearly describes the Symtom of OCD. The people having OCD often do the same thing that they know does not bear any significance but they do it again and again anyway, becasue of the comfort of doing what they do.

I clean things even if they're visibly clean, I sanitize and wipe every nook and cranny, even at school and work and even public places sometimes. The pandemic has made me worse, I'm getting so paranoid about everything it's like germs crawling all over my skin, my surroundings. I used to shower up to 4 times a day and wash my hands like, every 20 minutes or so until I developed eczema on my skin and my hair got severely damaged. It's bad for me and I know I shouldn't do it but I do it anyways.
Nobody listened to the lyrics... everyone was just preoccupied with the fact that they didn't like how it sounded...
Disimagination fact is, the lyrics werent specific and could have applied to anyone (generic), do we have to think every song with depressing lyrics means the artist wants to kill themselves?

Disimagination Everyone listened to the lyrics, just like the every other songs that they have produced throughout the years with specific messages and cries for help. People just didn't like the pop and people had no idea that 2017 would be the year he took his life.
Disimagination chester’s lyrics have been pretty deppresive since the beginning. This song was no different it just had a sadder tone.
Except the lyrics were written by Chester about the shit in his head and what was putting him down. This song was straight up addressing his depression and his heavy thoughts. He said this multiple times in interviews. Not saying this meant he was gonna take his life. But aside from most other LP songs that are usually written by Mike, this one was BY Chester himself which is what makes this song harder to listen to now.

This performance shows with how much passion and emotion Chester performed the song - especially in comparison with Kiiara, who doesn't move at all and stay monotone the whole time. It really proves what the lyrics meant to Chester. Very sad to watch his now after what has happened...

Linkin Park erinnert mich immer an die Zeit, als ich mit meinem Vater im Auto saß und er mich fragte welche Band gerade auf der CD spielt. Linkin Park war die einzige Band, die ich immer erkannt habe, weil keiner so besonders war wie Chester. ❤

Miguel Zazueta that's cool and all, but don't forget this man was a human being who struggled with his life on a daily basis and as you now know committed suicide. Let it be a learning lesson that people should not feel like they have to be someone else for others. Yes, we all loved LP's old sound, but what we should cherish and look for in music is authenticity. And that's exactly what he and the other writers gave us because it's all they had at the time: struggles and an outlet: music.

If you dont know how to appreciate every single bit of him even if he changes, then you're not worthy of him dude. Even with the complications on his throat, he still performed because he loves you guys. Even Mike told us live that chester's biggest flaw was that he cared too much for people. Yet you couldn't even see that nor appreciate because all you care about was self satisfaction. He loved and cared for all of you but most of his so called "fans" which I think are fake immature people, only care about themselves. For you words like these are small, but truth is mere words alone can weigh "heavier" on someone's heart than a 65 tone truck.
I really love Linkin Park! Sometimes it felt like they wrote Songs about me. I know they speaking out of the heart of so many people..If my life would have a soundtrack it definetly would be Linkin Park!!! Thanks so much to Chester and the rest of Linkin Park! I love you guys!

The band wrote all of the lyrics, mainly Mike and Chester, the other people just gave feedback for the pop aesthetic. Wich count as production too. But the band was in charge of everything anyway.
