This song makes me sob. It’s so endearing that Scott is actually nervous, like we don’t absolutely love everything he does. He has such a beautiful voice and this song is so heartwarming. Truly the most because lyrics.
💖Such a GORGEOUS song sung BEAUTIFULLY! I actually teared up at the end Scotts beautiful voice pulls at the heartstrings. When the group comes together at the end it's stunning!
Such a beautiful and impactful song made even better with the emotion and story around. And I love that Pentatonix allows themselves to not be boxed in. They didn't try to force this song to be something it isn't (removing the piano, having it be less Scott heavy). They are comfortable enough to serve the song and music, and understood that Scott would sing these lyrics with the most emotion. I've seen people be so down on Scott for this song and saying it should have been a solo project. Which it sure could have been. But I also think the band knew that it was a song that would emotionally touch many people and wanted to use their bigger reach. And honestly, I think it's probably a nice vocal break for the non-soloists! Thank you for doing all these reactions and letting us revisit this with you! Such a moving song!
