You should check out Scott's original "Mars".

I know I already mentioned Kevin's "Renegade" well here it is again, hoping it will be a polite reminder. Kevin's talent is beyond measure. Also find out more about him and him speaking other languages. Pretty amazing :)

This is such a beautiful song, now that I’ve heard Mars (Scott’s first song as a solo artist) it makes so much sense. Both songs are sooooo beautiful.

Scott wrote this in 2020 on his birthday with the help of his now fiance Mark. It's about surviving a crazy year.
🤩👉Funny thing is that Scott has ALWAYS been in the spotlight in one way or another. He has been singing since he was about 3yrs old. He has recorded music since about 12 yrs old been on tv ect ...

I've seen it said that the first Thank You was from Scott to Mark, the second Thank You was from Scott to the rest of the band, the final Thank You was from the band to us fans. That thought makes my eyes sweat......a lot

Mitch as well plays the piano. Kirsten graduated from School and performed in Broadway for a season . We are dealing with an accomplished and professional group. I love them so!

Scott and Mark wrote this beautiful song in 2020 during the pandemic. It has a great message and was very much needed. It's always nice to thank people who help you get through rough times. This song and video hit perfectly when it was released near Christmastime in 2020.

I wouldn't worry too much about the dates on the videos. After a while you'll learn to date videos by Mitch's weight and hairstyle, whether it's Avi or Matt and how grown up Kirstie looks.

There are many fans that are conflicted about the instruments.
Some say that they are not being true to their roots.
They have always said that if there is an instrument used, you will see it.
I personally feel that since it's them playing them, it just adds to their magic.
As always, hope and joy to you and your family.
Don't forget to pass it on. =^;^=

I absolutely agree, sometimes using instruments adds more to their magic, well said!
The only music video where PTX used instruments, but they weren't shown on camera, is their recent one, 'Prayers for this World'.

Scott and Mark did such a wonderful job writing this beautiful song. It got me through some tough times. I’m forever Thankful to PTX for sharing this.

I have too tell you since you’re new to them that Scott has most leads of anyone in the group. You just haven’t watched or heard most of the songs he leads yet. When they were on the sing off, the network wanted to put the spotlight on one person as the lead. That person was Scott and then it stuck well into their arranging. A lot of reactor favorites as far as songs go, either highlight them all or tend to favor the ones Mitch leads on because his voice and ability are unique and something you don’t hear often from men. His vocal control is unmatched. Also Kirsties growth and confidence in her singing the last few years is really good and now she’s highlighted a lot more. She did a stint on Broadway a few years back and ever since her technique has been stronger than ever. While Scott still has more leads than the others they do seem to be using all the vocalists more on leads and solos than they used to.

This one is so beautiful in lyrics and melody. I recommend their covers of Shallow and Waving Through a Window if you want to hear more with Scott and Kirstie with leads.

I think they all play a little piano, but I've heard that Scott was at one point wanting to be a piano singer like John Legend.

Yep, he studied pop music for 1 year and his goal was being a singer/songwriter playing piano and singing. He's really good at piano!

This is the second perfect song that they did in the Covid year of 2020. The words really hit hard when you realize how hard that the year was for many people. The anxiety, loss, difficulty and despair of that year was tempered by the music they put out that year and most especially this song.

Thanks so much for doing this! Pretty sure it was my request, so I appreciate it! This was done in 2020 written by Scott and his now fiance Mark. Knowing the year that was 2020, it makes one of the last lines, "I can't believe this year you got me through" quite poignant IMO.

I’m really glad that they do songs like this. Really, any of them could leave and have a successful career. By doing things like this, they can feature their own material and still be Pentatonix.

Well drums wouldn’t have worked on this song and Mitch also plays the piano but it wasn’t about letting them all play. It was perfect with just the cello and piano.
