I got this rack at Costco, but had to return it. It seems to be a good build, resembles a Thule Easyfold XT. It costs about 1/3 the price of the Thule. The problem I had is, it is easy to get one bike on it, but the second bike will be difficult. The arm has to pass through or around the other bike, and if you got bottle cages on your bikes it makes it even more difficult. I suspect the Thule Easyfold XT has the same problem. Probably why Thule came out with the Thule Epos.
In the video, two straps were used on the front wheel and only one strap was holding down the rear wheel. Normal logic says the rear is the heaviest end and so it gets two straps because its weight would cause greater tugging force on the strap tie-down as the bumps in the road made the bike bounce up and down against the strap(s).
I confirm - mine works same way. From Costco. Couldn't be happier - no more heavy lifting! My bikes are Cannondale's Tesoro and REI's Coop 2.1 City. Both heavy 50lb+ plus. With included ramp though is a breeze to put them on and off. Similarly no more heavy caring from garage to 'on car'... Rump could have more stability, but it is acceptable especially for this amount of $s.
No, Costco does not have good ebikes and the one they have more expensive and less power , smaller batteries. you can check the ebike here and they have very good sale now + 10% OFF code: Erides bit.ly/luckeep
I wonder why he didn’t use the first rack which is closest to his car? Is the first rack useable or is it too close to his car whereas the bike pedals or bike handle bars might potentially scratch his car? E-bikes generally weigh 65 to 70-pounds each. Therefore, what is the weight limit of the bike rack?
Liked and subscribed. The only thing I don't like about some hitch-based bike carriers is the question about how easily a thief can steal it off of your car. Is there a way to lock this bike carrier to your car to prevent theft?
I previously had this rack. The clamp system securing bikes is inferior, in my opinion. They tend to loosen and I learned to not trust them, instead added additional staps anticipating their eventual failure. Secondly, Rackets does not fold up against the car when not in use, leaving it sticking out quite a bit from vehicle.
good question but I do not know yet as I did not try. I saw one review that it was too short. I know max is 4 inches. I will make follow up video with tring different ebikes on it. also , if you need for larger tires this racks pretty good Hyperax Extra 12% OFF with code: DAD hyperax.co/DAD

yes, you can use any padlock to lock it. I forgot to mention it. I am planning to make follow up video with demonstrate other size of ebikes to fit it.
This video about bike rack but you said xp better? You probably never tried other ebikes. You should try better like Luckeep x1 or x1 pro faster and 2-3 times larger battery th-cam.com/video/lhtihS4xw6o/w-d-xo.html
I have an XP 3.0 and two of them fit perfectly on this same rack. Using the rack is much easier than going through the folding process and stowing them in the back of our vehicle.
@@kateMarie10 Totally agree. I have 2 XPs. folding and lifting them to the trunk break my back. :) I have this rack. Still in the box. Good to see how it work. Eager to give a try

@@bigguy1403 More crazies on TH-cam that can find your address than random drivers on the road even. If he's more comfortable doing so, then yes. All good
@zoe7657 question: Let's just say someone does find your address. So there, going to come to your town to steal your truck, vrs the thousands of people that see your truck every day that can follow you home and steal your truck then a few hundred people who look at your video.
Sooo It's a cheap rip off of the Thule EasyFold XT.... Yeah lets cheap out on the only thing keeping your expesive E-bike from being road side trash is that rack. Maybe I'm biased as a former Thule vendor but we use to have people bring those cheap racks in to install and they alll are a nightmare to assembly and rickety as all get out. You do you though....

what bike brands
We bought this several weeks back and its been GREAT ..

Both wheels should have double straps. I do not remember if it was there or not but I already took it back to costco due to recall.
This is fantastic and exactly what I needed for my heavy e-bike. Thanks for the demonstration.
Great to hear!

Did you buy the Luckeep e-bike at CostCo?

What is the price for this bike rack? And how much does it weight?
I have this rack from Costco and love it. Unfortunately, it recently had a recall and now I have to return it.

Jesus what cheap ass bikes you buying? The heaviest one I saw recently was 40lbs.
I really like this. Have you tried it with two bikes as one commenter here mentioned it was difficult putting on a second bike?

Thank you ! Any padlock can lock as it will block the area to remove it.
@@erides That's great. Thanks, man. 🤜🤛
Welcome, I missed that part but will make new video with more details soon
You can buy hitch lock pin.
The Thule that it is emulating locks the rack to the car.
I read a letter on one of my e-bike groups that these are being recalled. I wocheck into it
I posted under community section the letter

Nice job on the video. I have the same rack and have had great luck with it.
Cool, thanks
Will it fit fat tire bikes? 26x4 tires or larger?

I want to buy one at Costco but they don't have it
I'm guessing with the shape of it that it does not fold up against the vehicle when not in use? Just permanently "down" position?
Correct
Reflectors?
Or lights that you can hook up to brakes?

Do you have to have a trailer hitch to use this rack?
yes
Nice info. I definitely need a rack. I may have missed if you said anything about it, but can an electric trike fit.
Probably will not fit
Just returned mine. The company said it was not made for an RV or motorhome because of the excess vibration and would not recommend

I would guess at Costco.

Harbour freight
Cant find it at Costco anymore its gone
May be sold out
It is not designed for a 4" fat tire ebike.
Now you can’t see you’re brake light, turn signals or license plate 😮
You still can see both, but the license plate needs to be attached to the rack . It comes with holder
Why are you covering up your plate does everyone on your block or when you go out not see your plate 😅😅😅😅
There are other reasons.. just because YOU don't understand.
@zoe7657 there's no reason I'm not trying to be as ass just saying everyone sees your plate every minute of the day. But whatever you do you. All good
