The best SW game I've played as a loyal Imperial was Tie Fighter. I was hoping that SW Battle Front 2 was going to go that route... but no. Yet another Imperial turned rebel terrorist. Ugh. I have no hope of seeing a real SW story in a game from the Imperial loyalist point of view.
It makes sense, but there's a comic called "thanks to the maker" were you can see when the troopers took 3po to Vader (on bespin) and he ordered to give it back to Chewbacca. But idk if it still being cannon so it's very probable you're right xdd
The reason why Darth Vader destroyed C-3PO was because I reminded him of his past as he was the one who created it and he felt pain seeing it after the clone wars working for the rebels like R2-D2 seeing them as basic droids
Seeing how Vader had a tendency to destroy pieces of his past, realizing he had C3PO may have been the reason he ordered to destroy it in the first place.
I've seen all of the star wars films, the first 6 multiple times, and read a few comics but I definitely wouldn't call myself a superfan of star wars, but these videos are so entertaining and interesting to me and I end up binge watching them for hours

I had a '74 Dodge Dart once I really liked. I got it in '85 (already an _old_ car ) for the right price (really cheap), the body was in really good condition, and after I gave it a full tune-up, a new (used) set of tires, and tweaked the timing a bit, it ran like a top. I drove that car for about a hundred thousand miles before I sold it and got a newer/better car. As much as I loved that car, I wouldn't give too much thought if someone parked it in front of my house and handed me the keys to having it junked if it wasn't what I wanted or needed in an automobile. In the SW Universe, I imagine that's how many think towards droids. We love R2D2 and C3PO, they are special to _us_ the viewer/reader but only because we don't live with droids daily.
Vader knew, “aniken skywalker wasn’t week so I destroyed him.” The attachments of the Jedi were not things that he felt were useless but things that pulled him, reminded him about his past and padme. He destroyed it because he didn’t want to be reminded/distracted. Later Vader says it’s to late for me, indicating that he knows he is in the wrong but cannot turn back now. He has to finish what he started
Yes bc hes trying to cut all attachment to everything and everyone. If you notice, whenever he notices that hes getting sentimental and lovey dovey he gets really angry and destroys whatever did it
I believe he would destroy 3PO as he had a deep connection to his former life as Anakin Skywalker. The Protocol droid he built, from spare parts from Wado's shop, for his mother.
Simply put yes. Because part of sith training is to remove any and all mental or emotional connection that could reawaken who you were before becoming a Sith.
If R2-D2 comes rolling through the door as the rescue party then you might as well give up and release the prisoner. You ain't gonna win against a Veteran who's seen combat in both The Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War with kills tallying more than the Average Storm Trooper. And he's just a protocol droid.
@Darth Skywalker don't lecture me obi-wan ! I have seen through the lies of the Jedi . I do not fear the darkside as you do ! I have brought peace , freedom , justice and security to my new empire .
I think Darth Vader wanted to get rid of C3P0 so they couldn't get information out of him, because if they did and the rebellion lost the war too soon then Palpatine would truly rule everything which would make him all-powerful, and that wouldn't work in Darth Vaders favor since he wants to rule instead, and in order to have a chance of overthrowing Palpatine, the war had to go on, so he wanted C3P0 destroyed
I think Vader can and would deactivate C3PO if given the chance. He wanted to sever ALL ties to his past as Anakin, and C3P0 is actually the worst reminder. Vader created him for his precious mom, his beloved wife had ownership of the droid, and he was there alongside R2D2 during Vader's time as a hated Jedi. Also, C3P0 was with the Rebels now so that automatically makes him an enemy. Luke is the only thing from Anakin's life that Vader would spare. You can make the argument that its because his son is a product of the greatest thing that had ever happened to him, although you can also say its because Luke isn't tied to his past as Anakin at all. His son is instead the embodiment of a promise for a better future.
Personally I think that he would have ordered the destruction of c3p0 because it would bring back memories of anakin and just ad how Darth Vader basically kiled anakin Skywalker I think he would like to remove every thing to do with his old self

I'm confused, what part of this video explains how Vader met his new best friend
I love how one of the troopers in the thumbnail is rocking a cloak when he had armor on just for the sake of it.

Yes, I think Vader would order the destruction of threepio, he did in one of the legends comics. Wants to destroy Anakin.

Can we jus talk about how loyal R2 is for a sec 😂
He would even destroy R2 in my opinion because Darth Vader wants nothing to do with anything that relates to his past as Anakin skywalker.
YES prep you could expose his childhood, feelings memories. destroying the 3pO is key
Vader is no Anakin. He will be cinflicted but he has ruthlessbess enough to give an order

Yes because in some of your videos Vader wanted all of his past to die
I think Darth Vader wanted to get rid of C3P0 so they couldn't get information out of him, because if they did and the rebellion lost the war too soon then Palpatine would truly rule everything which would make him all-powerful, and that wouldn't work in Darth Vaders favor since he wants to rule instead, and in order to have a chance of overthrowing Palpatine, the war had to go on, so he wanted C3P0 destroyed
