Srpingbok fan here. Gutted to lose but huge congrats to the Irish team who fronted up brilliantly. What a sport rugby is - the grace of the coaches, the players win or lose is an example to all in life. Irish deserved this win. On we go.
You know what is crazy? Andy Farrell is from a town in the north of England called Wigan, it’s on the outskirts of this city called Warrington. During the troubles in Ireland, the IRA blew up a gas works in Warrington that killed two little boys. The IRA also shot my partners uncle the same day - as he was a police officer in GMP at that time. He somehow survived. The song zombie Ireland sing at the end of games is a song by an Irish band called the Cranberries. They are singing about the Warrington Gas Bombings. The fact Andy, a man from this area in England, and Doris a man from the republic, can sit down and share in this moment only 25 years on is very special.
Farrells family is of Irish decent though so a complicated history there

Could not have asked for any more from our Boks other than to take this loss very seriously. We didn’t perform worse than Ireland, they performed better than us and that makes this loss feel comforting. Full credit to Ireland and their never say die attitude and I hope the next time we meet it is at the intensity of these past 2 matches. This Irish side are probably the most consistently good in the world and i am all here for it! They don’t ever lose confidence and I hope Irish fans use it to help understand that their side is never out of the picture!

Irish rugby man here, I am delighted with our win, thrilled I should say. I'm also thrilled by the comments by the Bok's fans after losing such a tight game. There has been too much talk in the press, stirring stuff up... going to South Africa and win at rugby is certainly not easy, going to South Africa and making friends seems to be much more of a pleasure. Thanks South Africa and Bok's fans for welcoming us and let's keep being the best test matches to play/watch. Rivalry is properly good when it's like this and with the AB's too. Brilliant stuff and I would have said this even had we lost today.

All Blacks fan here and I must say I didn’t expect any less from both teams. At the start of the series I predicted 1 game each simply superb rugby.
What I didn’t anticipate was ABS to win both games(again I thought it would be 1 each)

I am a diehard Irish soccer fan who has long since fallen out of love with our national team. My newfound respect now rests with the Irish rugby team - they do our country proud. That said, I hold the Springbok team in as high a regard. They too represent their country with courage and pride and are a credit to the people of South Africa.
Every time these 2 teams clash, it always produces the most brutal, intense physical games going. Glad to see us get the win but man, the Springboks are such a frightening team.
Well done Ireland. You deserved this win. You were a focus and the better team. South Africa were outplayed on every aspect of the game.

Farrell is truly inspirational, Caelen Doris made more metres than the rest of the Ireland back row combined, he was just everywhere, when he was yellow carded SA got 9 points, with a couple of debateable penalty decisions Ireland did not appear to nominate a captain, so nobody challenged the decisions.
Taught we were not at the level we were from a few years ago, but I think today showed we are still a great team SA also 2 amazing squads.
If a team can score a try , kick drop goals and penalties ,surely then they must be creative ,inventive and ingenious.A really very good match today.
As an Irish fan I just want to say thank you to South Africa for two epic tests. A series draw is a fair reflection I believe between two evenly matched sides. Well played and good luck for the Rugby Championship

As an Irish fan I agree, and yes we hate the qf curse, but because sa are the best it means so much to us after years of hurt in the 5n, now 6n, any serious Irish fan respects sa, and hopefully we can all continue this rivalry with respect not like some of the haters on both sides

Losing is fine . We had to lose a close a game. Shame we have no 3rd test. We kicked away our possession.
Show them some respect. We played a game plan and lost, if only we had someone chase down the drop or put pressure on the ruck. Nz kicked more than Eng they won. Ire more than us and they won. It happens. Honestly we aren't prepared yet for the new gameplan we had to many turnovers. Also we lost Willie the assist king, who unlucks defence like noyone else. Look at last weeks game how good he was at that. Ireland havent lost consecutively since 2021. We can be proud of our performance and we know we'll be better for it especially all the new players have learned a lot.

Your boks are a terrific team, but you got beaten by an Irish team that have most of their star players missing. That’s reality. There’s nothing between the top 4 teams in the world, and England is very close too. Watch out for them in 2025!

Doris showed he's up there with the best in world . Over 2 tests MOTM in both games and even with a yellow he was streets above opposite number of WC Champions.
Kwagga Smith was shown up in both tests in truth. Wear his heart on sleeve but at top level hes not good enough..Mgomezulu and Williams should have cemented there places in the 15. Also Marx is levels above Bongi , whatever about the bomb squad

I didn't hear anyone say Ireland was robbed. I heard people say that a different referee may have given different decisions in relation to Ireland, but you could say that after every game. Including this one.
