Indeed. As an aside, Wozniak has had previous "issues with damaged mail" for Taskmaster - in the Edinburgh Fringe version from before the idea got commissioned for TV, his ice sculpture had melted leaving only a wooden plinth in a large box, and a covering note from the Post Office, for Alex's "Send Alex something large through the post" task. 😆 I'm glad to see Mike revisited this approach for his TV attempt.
Jamjoad Snadge is stuck in my head ever since this episode. Such a satisfying sound to it, and Sarah hysterically wheezing and snorting in the studio over it lol
@@insertgenericusernamehere2402 He did indeed. In fact, it was a three week affair as Ed Gamble had Katheryn Parkinson on this episode and they both believed it was real. When listeners wrote him (saying he was an idiot for thinking it was real), he asked Mike via email. Mike was on two weeks later to confirm in a typically hysterical way that indeed no such sculpture had ever existed. FYI he also confirmed that Sarah’s multi function sex toy was also purpose built.
@@dgpatter see I've listened to every pod they've released so my retention of some information is awful I'm really gutted they never got Noel fielding on.
God... that airline queue task... I'm telling you, mate... series 11-15 just somehow hits different. Maybe everyone got a boost coming out of "the pandemic". I don't know. 16+ are good too; they wouldn't keep making they if they weren't. But 11-15 really hit some kind of stride for me.
WTF???? I've never seen that LEGO before. Where did you get that??? When was it released?? I'm a nerd on a budget so only buy the expensive things that really appeal to me as my very classy adult self, and somehow that one's never come up on my RADAR....
Best way to remember is your fist, bruv. Make a fist with your left hand and count the knuckles. High knuckle on the end means January has 31. Low knuckle, weird February. High knuckle, March is 31. Continue until July at the end of your knuckle, then repeat opposite way. August on your first knuckle has 31, go backwards and the low knuckle September has 30, continue on 'til you've completed all 12 months. Works flawlessly so long as you know WTF a leap year in February is. LOL
The Romans started of 10 1st 5 March to July 31, 30, 31, 30 and 31, then repeat for August to December, then 31 January and 28 February or additional day if a year divisible by 4.
I've alluded to it before in a previous comment, but the airport security task is in my opinion, the most bullshit task Alex has ever designed. The rules only state "Get your luggage through security", if Alex allows things through security that contain liquids or no passport then HE FAILED as security, the contestant got it through which was the objective. And the whole task sets itself up to be an interesting challenge of speed vs carrying too much luggage through a tight maze with the threat of restarting. It really didn't need the extra layer of sneaky traps like needing to inspect your own luggage for water or find your passport. On top of that, his complacency to let people disqualify themselves by not restarting and just say "it's up to you" rather than enforcing his own rules bothers me a lot.
@@ElectricFury I can kind of see what they were going for with the passport, its a funny idea to have the passport back at the beginning so they have to go all the way back through the maze. Should have made it more obvious though, or just had Alex straight up tell them where it is when they reach the end without it. The water thing is absolute bullshit though And yeah Alex absolutely should have enforced the rules more strictly there, if he allowed it in the moment it should count in the studio. At the very least just bump the rulebreakers down a place rather than DQ them entirely
'Can we at least get a photo of what it looked like?' Bless your trusting heart.

I love how Jamali Maddix just has no time for Alex's bs
"Brine is salty water."
I think that may be both the most simplistic and best definition of "brine" I've ever heard. LOL
What a brain trip to listen to you talk at one quarter speed putting on airs about your Lego artwork just to read true confessions.
That whole Van Gogh lego bit really made me laugh
hey that Van Gogh lego set is sick, might pick thatup actually
I enjoyed you trying to remember the word mnemonic
The broken glass Mike brought in was a joke.
Did he ever mention that on the pod?

Just google Lego Starry Night. She wants a Bonsai Tree Lego or Japanese Zen Garden.
These grown up Lego sets are so cool

Lighten up, Francis.
You say ‘task’ like a Brit, not an Aussie.
Have a listen to the intro on my Australia and New Zealand seasons ;)
