Herpes facts: What doctors should tell patients

A short video by the Herpes Viruses Association explaining the importance of doctors providing correct information when diagnosing herpes simplex to a patient. Herpes simplex is more of a psychological condition than it is a physical one, due to a stigma launched four decades ago aimed at increasing sales of antiviral drugs. Subsequently the word 'herpes' has since caused tremendous fear and anxiety to many people from the countries where this unnecessary marketing campaign had any reach, despite being medically unimportant.
