Bc "Noir" has that same feeling of coolness to an English speaker that "buraku" does to a Japanese speaker. I guess they also could have called her Dark Moon or something though. So the following year when I was setting up a VCR to record Sailor Moon while I was at school, and I had the slow realization that it was the same show, never to get the Sailor Crucify scene made me think that the unsubbed VHS tape was cursed instead of the truth of the dub just being horribly butchered for censorship.

We only had half of season one of Dino Riders available in Sweden. I know so much of how that show began, but don't even know how the first season concluded. The VHS era was WILD for international shows. Nowadays you get wars in comment fields about which order to watch Farscape, airing order or chronological order. Back then we were lucky if we saw two episodes from the same season 😂
The three eras of being an anime fan: 1. Random shit on TV, no idea what's going on 2. Episodes split into 12 TH-cam videos, all of which are in Spanish and cropped into the corner of the screen at 240p 3. Literally any episode you want at any time, with new episodes subtitled within 1 day of airing in Japan Times sure do change, for better and for worse. The Wob thing reminded me of a dream I had where there was a trailer for a new Sonic movie and it had a dark version of Knuckles and his name was Wuckles but it was actually Tails with the color palette of Shadow and his hair slicked back and I kept telling myself I needed to tell Karina about it so she could draw it

When i was a kid the drug store had big tubs of cheap vhs tapes for like $3 and every once in a while there would be a sailor moon one in there with like 3 episodes on it and me and sister would dig and dig trying to find those ones but we only ever found like 3 of them so i grew up obsessed with sailor moon but only having seen the same 9 out of order episodes over and over again at least you had a blockbuster karina 😂
Being same age as the Drawfee crew…ya’ll really don’t know what it was like back in the day. Sailor Moon, DBZ, and Gundam Wing was all we had! After school Toonami was everything!

The VHS era was WILD for international shows.
Nowadays you get wars in comment fields about which order to watch Farscape, airing order or chronological order. Back then we were lucky if we saw two episodes from the same season 😂

The three eras of being an anime fan:
1. Random shit on TV, no idea what's going on
2. Episodes split into 12 TH-cam videos, all of which are in Spanish and cropped into the corner of the screen at 240p
3. Literally any episode you want at any time, with new episodes subtitled within 1 day of airing in Japan
Times sure do change, for better and for worse. Sure we can watch whatever whenever, but we also have MHA fans, so there are tradeoffs.
