It was so cool to see Blakes video from almost a year ago "Worlds First 3D Printed Simon Lizotte Tilt". Pretty amazing what technology can do nowadays. I'm so stoked he made 4 for me and I had a great time throwing it around the woods!

Please tell me you would be willing to send me the file for that amazing disc. Also what plastic were you using? Abs or petg maybe for the durability?
TPU would have been great. I've done a few 3d printed discs. Always fun

As someone who does a lot of 3d printing on the exact same printer (Ender 3 Pro), these discs took a LONG time to print. Like, 20 hours each or so (depending on layer height). And he printed a bunch of them. Very cool.

Don't wait til end of vlogmas. Do a putting and approach tutorial. Show us how you practice. Give us some good pro tips. The 3D printed tilt is insane. Didnt expect those results.

What a great video you could tell you were having such a good time with those discs, maybe take those back to maple hills hole 4 and try to ace that hole with those discs.

6 minutes in that hole is amazing. Just the perfect downhill right to left. Long tee goes basically right to left to right. Really fun hole

This brings up an interesting topic on the future of discs and 3D printing. Probably won’t be long till someone comes up with really amazing stuff

You already have the putting skills, the only thing that will make you a better putter are the thoughts in your head when you putt or think about your skills as a putter. If you believe that you can make everything and are confident in your abilities, the results will take care of themselves, never put yourself down, find something to be positive about and compliment yourself even on missed putts. Mindset sets apart the elite.
Played this course over the summer. Super fun, but Hole 14 can definitely be a black hole. Spent a good 45 min looking for discs on that hole alone.

Just bought my ticket to Mass to find that Tilt on hole 14!
I wonder how a putter printed in flex-filament would do. A dagger is basically flat on top (even more so than the tilt)
Even something like the DevilHawk I putt with is pretty flat. Slight thumb groove around the top but probably doable.
You sold me on the "It flys like a perfect MD3" pitch. I just ordered 3.
Just remember that he was throwing them upside-down, lol.

I would assume by noon today that hole will be covered with tilt searchers. That is if someone wasn’t out there with a leaf blower at 6 am already.
Hahahahahah newton hill is insanely intense , the holes are , up hill, down hill, uphill , downhill, uphill downhill. Ect... Ect .. its so hard to play without being wrecked by the end of it. Theres some really cool holes. But some arent amazing
And you can change the plastic. Different filament! Awesome experiment! Loved it.
How cool to let people know what hole and as best you could on where the lost tilt is...it would be cool if some posted that they found it.
Probably never going to replace professionally made discs but with the right plastic and prevalence of access to 3d printers, this could totally take over the disc market. Just imagine buying disks for $1 each or $5 for 10. That's about how it'd work out. Any shape and weight you can look up, dream up, or engineer.
A guy I know is already perfecting the sauce. The years are numbered for the disk manufacturers

I tried 3D printing my own tilt knock off too! I kinda screwed up the dimensions, but it’s still stupidly over stable so ig I succeeded to some degree 😂

I'm here in Arizona and there is a brand at my local shop, and a local disc player makes a whole line of 3d printed discs! I haven't tried one yet but they feel pretty cool.

Y'all should be looking at NSH Custom Discs Borg, the more over-stable PDGA 3D printed version of the Tilt!

Ye the weight is the problem on 3D-printed discs. There has been STL models of flat discs on Thingiverse almost 10 years but you cant get enough weight on them just by printing. Most I have got just by printing is about 120grams. Adding something to the rim could do the job.
I was the one that made those Tilts, they came out about 160grams and I had to print them at 94% scale due to my printers build plate size. when printed at full scale, they would actually come out at about 172grams

I feel your pain man.. I lost a sick night strike 1 in the leaves today 😣😣😣 it was raining and I was getting soaked, but I looked for over an hour, I'm super bummed.. But I know it was dumb as hell to throw it.
If it makes you feel better…I lost my night strike 1 this summer. I forgot to pick it up after throwing my approach. I wasn’t too bummed until I saw what they were selling for these days.

I'm just getting interested into disc golf. Cool to find out that you're from the "Wistah" area since I'm down in Taunton. I know there are some courses in the Easton, Plainville area but do you know of any groups or places where I could go to learn the basics? Or do you suggest I just go out, get a couple discs and give it the ol' college try?
I like the "shitty courses" like this cuz they make you tighten up your shots. We have one big local course, the rest are all tight tight tight and technical. I live up in the mountains, so they try to not touch much of the nature. Makes for some interesting rounds. lol
Simon mentioned he needs to practice putting. I think making one of the Vlogmas videos about doing a putting game/contest would be an interesting watch. People could take Simon's results and test their skills against his.

I don't know... But to me the sharper sound of a tree "hit" almost feels better than the softer duller thud. Like If it's gonna hit, at least the sound is spectacular :)
I'd really like to know what the disc was printed from..... I really don't think PLA would hold up too that abuse, maybe ABS would. Also was it printed solid, or did it have like 50% infill? By the way, I do both, Disc golf and 3D print things.
